Honestly the best bike buying experience I've ever had in my life. Matt was incredibly helpful as I looked to figure out the right bike for me. He was patient and answered all my questions. I will use them moving forward, and will highly recommend! read more

Matt (the owner) was very helpful and communicative via email and phone for what we wanted/needed. We worked with Joe at the shop, who was great answering our questions and steering us through test rides. We got the perfect e-bikes for us, what we felt was a great deal on them and a bike rack, with excellent customer service! We'd highly recommend this bike shop! read more

Reasonably priced Bicycle Repair Shop in the Frederick Area that gets the job done. I came in for a tune up and training wheel installation for a bike that belonged to a family member. The owner Matt did the tune up himself efficiently while I watched, and provided excellent pointers on seating position, explained what the issue were with the bike etc. The training wheel installation was smooth, even though an extra part was required, he ordered the part, didn't price gouge and reached out to me via email as soon as the part arrived and was ready for installation. Dropped off the bike and work was done the next day. Another email was sent to let me know me know the work was done. Definitely would recommend Mark and Joe to my friends if they need bicycle repairs done in a quick and a timely fashion. No complaints, I would just say for some customers they would prefer a phone call instead of an email to let them know the work is done, but I prefer the latter so no complaints on that point. read more

Excellent customer service and great selection of bikes and accessories. Very knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend!

Stopped by today to pick up an online order. Very friendly staff. Answered all my questions and even helps me put my order into my car. If you're looking for a bike they have a large selection of both road and mountain bikes. read more

All American Bicycle Center - Store front - Bikes Near Me - Damascus, Maryland

First, the check in offer is not offered by them. Don't use it. Second, the service here is excellent. Dryer, Laura, and Jason made sure that we got the perfect bike for my little one and that it was adjusted for her (which was all the way at the bottom). There was so much more consideration and care towards me when purchasing the bike then when I previously tried to purchase a bike at the large retail stores. I can't recommend them more strongly. There's no doubt I made the right choice by buying from them instead of the bigger retail store. read more

Decided on AABC to purchase bikes for me and my wife because they had the shortest wait time for delivery. Matt and Laura are helpful, courteous, professional and knowledgeable about bikes. Will def recommend friends and family about AABC. read more

The staff here was simply wonderful. Even with all of the worries about COVID19, they helped make my daughter's first bike a joy she'll treasure for years to come. She loves her bike and I hope she'll grow to love biking. Many thanks once again. read more

Form cat 2 and been in lots of shops in lots of places, from Colorado to California, to New England to the DMV. Matt and his shop are equal to any pro shop I've ever used - I have top end road bikes I don't just trust at any shop, even any good shop, and Matt and team are just the best. Fair prices, quick turnarounds, quality work and nice conversation when not busy (his shop is one of the rare ones that treats all cyclists, beginner to pro, the same - superbly. If you like to bike, this shop is for you. Quality parts and bikes. Expertise built on decades of experience and real racing and riding expertise. Great staff. Honest. The best. read more

Owen is "Owesome!!!" Our family of 5 walked in to buy new bikes with all of the trimmings. A daunting task to say the least. Owen could not have been more accommodating. He took the time necessary to size every one(age 5,7,9,35 & 41) of us for our perfect bikes. I'm in sales and would hire him in an instant (hint hint). Thank you Owen and his manager Matt for the top notch service. read more

Top notch, knowledgeable service! Matt spent considerable time fitting me to my new Trek, and it is such a comfortable ride as a result.

Over a decade and half ago I bought a Serotta from Matt and was deeply impressed with his professionalism, thoroughness, pleasant personality and his teaching ability. I visited his shop during the intervening years and continued to appreciate his skills as I worked for other bike shops for almost two decades. I bought a new bike, again from him and am still impressed. He and Joe fitted me perfectly and explained the new technological advancements that grace my bike frame. They both took the time to be sure I understood their comments and answered my questions completely and thoroughly. Yes I looked at other shops but they always fell short of Matt and Joe's customer service. Whether you are new or an old cyclist (like me), this is your store. read more

I came in knowing nothing about bikes. On my first visit, Jason took his time getting me fitted for a bike and had me test ride a bike. After doing about a week of research, emailing the shop with several questions and visiting another bike shop in the area I decided to purchase two Trek FX2 bikes (for myself and fiancé) here. On the date of purchase, Matt and Jason did a good job of walking me through the purchase and gave me some good safety tips. Great overall experience, we're excited to maintain our bikes at this shop for years to come! read more

I purchased a new Trek 820 mountain bike and wanted them to check it out before I went on the local trails. Knowing very little about the bike, Matt and crew were VERY knowledgable and took the time to go over with me the gears, brakes, common issues/quick fixes, etc. before I left. They completed the tune up and installed a kickstand earlier than predicted and reached out to me both via email and text to let me know the bike was ready for pick up. The same day I took the bike out trails with no issues. I later went back to purchase a taillight (Bontrager Flare) and the staff educated me about the different types lights and geared me towards the most appropriate one. Highly recommend going here for education, repairs, apparel and bike accessories!! read more

EXCELLENT, KNOWLEDGABLE and PATIENT!!! My wife n I stumbled onto All-American, after visiting many other shops for our first purchase. Joe and Matt were way more friendly, accommodating, and helpful, guiding us to the right fit for our needs/desires. They even let us test ride, which no other shop even offered. We got an education. We even got the right accessories to put us on the road/trail the next day. If you're going somewhere else for your biking needs, you're going to the wrong place! read more

Everyone was busy when I walked in but was immediately offered help. They were patient while I decided which product to buy and willingly answered all of my questions. I found the product selection to be good and the prices reasonable. I plan to visit here again I have any parts or accessories needs in the future. read more

PBest bike shop in Moco hands down! Matt and crew are definitely in business to look after the customer! I had a repair that was needed for the boys Mountain Bike and walked the bike in and on the spot they fixed it up and at a super fair price! Owen was extremely knowledgeable and thorough when I stopped by to check out a mountain bike. I knew which one I wanted, but he solidified my decision by providing more information than I knew about. Matt, the shop owner is great and really allows his staff to do what they're great at, talk about bikes and the mechanics and schematics of each model. I recommend this shop. read more

We stopped here after visiting a few other local bicycle shops. We went to purchase two bicycles (one mens and one womens) and I was surprised the pricing was higher than most if not all other shops we visited. The staff was very young but seemed to have a rough idea what to advise for the bicycles (I have been riding for approx.15yrs, road and mountain), but were incredibly distracted. The person helping us out walked away on one occasion to deal with something else, then on the second occasion walked away and did not come back for approx.10 minutes. He was helping another customer...I couldn't believe it, so we went elsewhere and bought two bicycles for less and they work great. If you have no where else to go, then give them a try...I don't recommend them. --I cannot rate the repair service...I did not use them-- read more

Based on a couple of the reviews, I almost didn't consider visiting the shop. So glad that I did. Matt and the guys were great! From listening to my needs, discussing the features/benefits of various bikes, to fitting the bike, I could not have asked for a better experience. For the bikes that I was considering, the prices were exactly the same as those found at other bike shops and Trek's website. I'm now the proud owner of a new Trek and I'm looking forward to joining the guys for a Saturday ride and will certainly purchase from Matt again. Thanks Guys! read more

I've brought in 2 bikes for service. I stressed the point, that time was important to me. Agreed to service based on ETAs given: 2 business days on one and 3-4 business days on the other. At the end of the fourth day, I called in for status. It turned out, parts were still missing for both bikes, without any ETA. Within 2 hours, I bought the missing parts at a different store and brought them in. Thought that would expedite the process. However was given a beautiful excuse "We have bikes sitting here from March, that are just getting fixed now". At this point I realized, they were happy to get my business, but couldn't care less about getting the job done on time. I am really happy for them. The business is so good, they are backlogged. However, I would expect some honesty on ETAs. At least an update if there are delays. You know, a bit of respect for my time. I took back one of the bikes, because the only way for me to ride it that day, was to fix it by myself. They agreed to fix the other bike the next day, ONLY because I would take it somewhere else if they wouldn't . The next day, at the register I was surprised to find out that there were multiple charges added by mistake. Nice try! Also extra charge for a part installation, because "it wasn't purchased from them". The same one I had to buy somewhere else, because they wouldn't even give me an ETA on. In their defense: The charges were adjusted. The quality of work seems to be good. Requires some fine tuning, but... I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I want to thank everyone at All American Bicycle Center In Damascus for the outstanding service every time I visit the shop, ESPECIALLY today!!! I rode 10 miles to the shop (20 miles round trip) for a quick check that was done incorrectly from another shop, and after I explained what the problem was, John was able to correct the issue with an explanation of what was done. So I am super satisfied with the service and the staff. I also had my first bike fitting session (July 2019) with Matt and it was a great experience as well. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. If you want great service, great prices, friendly staff, no salesman pressure to buy, plenty of accessories..then I suggest you give them a visit!!!!!!!!! read more

I do not have enough positive words to describe my experience with All American Bicycle Center. In my pursuit to find the Verve 2 Trek bike that is out of stock in most bike stores by me, I was guided to All American Bicycles and am SO HAPPY I ended up there! Prior to heading in the store their staff promptly answered my call at opening and provided me with all the necessary information I needed in my search. Once at their store, Matt and John helped guide me to ensure I would make the right purchasing decision and did not once pressure a sale. I would recommend All American Bicycle Center to anyone who is looking to purchase or upgrade their bikes - especially a lay, uninformed customer! You will leave feeling confident in your decision and happy with your new bike! read more

I rode my bike up the Magruder trail today to Damascus and along the way my gears started acting up. It was rideable, but I thought I'd pop into All American Bicycle Center to see if someone there could work on it. What luck, the service manager, Keith, happened to be working and he quickly remedied the issue. He did little extras like changing the gear cable caps (I hope I have that right), greased up the chain and gear housings - fixed it as good as new! I started talking about being worried on the C&O canal that if I ever blew a tire, I had some components to fix it, but not all. He inventoried what I had, made two suggestions that were inexpensive to purchase and then proceeded to take me to the back to teach me how to change the inner tube in a tire! He showed me all the tips and tricks and was very thorough and patient in his delivery. I am all set should that happen. Keith really went above and beyond and I'm very grateful. Every time I patronize that shop for a bike, repairs, or accessories, I'm super impressed by how professional and helpful the owner and staff are. I also love supporting a local small business. Why save a couple bucks going through the internet when you can get such a wealth of information and guidance from the pros. Always love this place and will be going back soon. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this business. Typically in the MoCo area, service is mediocre at best, but this establishment raises the bar. Matt was so helpful in answering questions and finding products that fit out needs. Prices were in line with any bike shop and actually less expensive than REI. This will be the only place we go from now on for our bike related needs. Happy to have found this shop!! read more

I can not say enough about the service at this shop. I came to the shop upon recommendation from a friend and the knowledgeable owner took the time on a busy Saturday spring day to fit my daughter on a bike rental for a last minute triathlon opportunity. He went the extra mile to be sure my daughter understood the bike for a successful race. Well operated small business! read more

What makes this place different: The owner, Matt, is actively on the premise and is into biking. The sales people have a biking passion. They figure me out and what I want in a bike. They sell Serotta and provide excellent fit. Customer support is great. They say thank you after the sale. I'm not a diehard bike rider, but I get treated like one. I'm never made to feel "less" or stupid. They take time for you. I will buy my next Serotta from them. Bike service is great. read more

I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK. I recently took my bike in for some work to be gone on it. They promised it would take a weeks time to get the part in and ready for me to pickup. So one week goes by and no email, phone call, smoke signals, nothing. I call them and all they said was the part wasn't ordered, and that it "slipped through the cracks". No "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or anything of that nature. They said we'll have it to you in three days. Three days go by nothing... Finally on the fourth day I called and they said the bike was ready for pickup and to come in at anytime. Went in to get the bike, no "I'm sorry this happened, this doesn't usually happen", nothing. Just wanted my money and that was it. I'm a pretty reasonable person - things happen, I get it. But the key is what do you do about it to resolve to situation as best as possible for your customer. I'm not looking for a handout or some sort or special treatment but a simple "I'm sorry, it was our fault" would have sufficed. Obviously this place is incompetent, arrogant, and have no sense of service or a wanting of a return customer-base. I was hoping to have a good bike shop near by but seems like I'll be making the extra hike to Germantown and Rockville for all my bike needs. I DO NOT recommend this place at all. Buyers and customers beware. read more

I took my road bike in to have a few updates made to it. Matt the owner was beyond thorough with me. He is incredibly professional, knowledgeable and patient. He built my confidence about doing a long ride and helped provide useful tips. He also provided a fantastic contact for me for training and additional rider contacts. Matt is an experienced cyclist and he does not make you feel uncomfortable even when asked very basic questions. He made sure that the original fit on my bike was accurate and he also ensured that I selected the appropriate accessories for by bike. Most importantly he made sure that I know how to change a tire in case there is the need. I highly recommend going to this store for any of your biking needs. read more

No idea what the 1 star reviewer is thinking - clearly has no idea what makes a good bike shop. All American is without question the best bicycle shop in the DC Metro area. I live in DC and happily drive the 30 to 45 minutes it takes to get there. Their mechanics are thorough, friendly and top notch. They even let me have a loaner wheel for my bike while they submitted for warranty on my cracked back rim - and I didn't even buy my bike from them! If you want the best service, best mechanics, and a good deal to boot, this is the place to go. read more

I used to bike a lot up until college, but I slowly stopped riding and up until this spring hadn't been on a bike in years. I wanted to get back into it and I tried a lot of places in the Bethesda/Rockville area. I couldn't find one that fit me right, so a friend of mine recommended All American in Damascus. They were extremely helpful and worked around my schedule (I was not going to be able to make it back up for two weeks but they held two new bikes for me to try out during that time). I didn't expect that, as I know they would be feeling a lot of pressure to sell their stock. The staff was very helpful at getting this quasi-novice back onto a bike (esp. the guy with red hair--forget his name, sorry). Like reviewer M.J. I live about 45 minutes away but I am glad I made the trip up. They only get 4 stars because the prices were a bit higher than I had found for an equivalent bike at other locations. However, the slight price bump is worth it because of the great service they provide. read more
