When I went to pickup my bike, it was obvious the gear shifting required adjustment. Also there were many finger prints of greasy hands. When I asked them to adjust the gear shifting & clean the frame, they partially adjusted the shifting issue. And told me that they will not clean the finger print marks. I had to finish both tasks myself. I hope they teach their mechanics better customer service.

My wife and I had been intrigued by the idea of getting ourselves e-bikes. We had done some…read more'research', for many months, but quite frankly we had become overwhelmed by the number of manufacturers, features, specifications, etc. etc., and as a result, were unable to make a decision. Long story short my wife ran into Good Vibes Bikes in Rockville (https://www.goodvibesbikes.com/) so we decided to take a look. What a difference! We had the good fortune to be greeted by the manager JAIME MUNOZ whose knowledge of the business was truly impressive! We aren't young and described our needs and use cases, and even though the shop had a bewildering array (100+) different bikes, he immediately directed us to 3 different options which he believed suited our needs. He helped us 'test drive' all three, in their safe parking lot, and we were able to make a quick decision. It was a breath of fresh air! He helped us understand the features and operation of the bike, and patiently answered ALL our questions quickly and direcly... Our bikes will arrive in a few days and we have complete confidence in our decision. At first, it seemed like a bit of self-promotion, but after visiting and making the purchase, it all makes sense. These bikes are complex beasts. The idea of two 100lb flat-packed cardboard boxes showing up at our house from some gigantic on-line seller, and spending, likely many hours, assembling them, was more than a little daunting. We consider ourselves reasonably technically and mechanically competent, but having them assembled and tested by professionals before taking them on the road definitely provides a lot of peace of mind... Just the safety considerations alone are worth the price of admission... The additional benefit is they also provide a lot of other services for maintaining and servicing the bikes, which is also a BIG DEAL. I cannot imagine the stress, endless frustrating telephone conversations, and the hassle of trying to fix, or worst case, disassemble and return one of these things to some faceless organization! Bottom line is our bikes will arrive in a few days, and we are very relaxed about our decision. They will assemble and test our bikes and JAIME will give us a call when they are ready for pickup. They will load them onto our bike rack, ready for the nearest trail!! Very impressed with JAIME MUNOZ, and the business model in general. I highly recommend them. If you are in the market for an e-bike, walk in and ask for JAIME, it will make your life a lot easier.

I had a very disappointing experience with this bike shop…read more. I originally chose this location because it's close to Walter Reed, where I work. I was excited to pick up my new bike, but I never received a call that it was ready, so I had to come in and check myself. I asked if I could take the bike as-is and have a mechanic assemble it elsewhere, but they refused and said it had to be assembled by them or I'd be responsible for any issues. Since assembly was included, I agreed to wait. At pickup, the experience got worse. The owner made fun of me for not getting clipless pedals for it. He said people will make fun of me having this bike with a flat pedal. I'm a beginner rider and not comfortable using clipless yet, especially since they require dedicated shoes.That kind of attitude was unnecessary and unprofessional. There was also confusion with my order. I had purchased additional items through Specialized, but the shop didn't seem aware and substituted some parts with their own inventory without clearly communicating it. During the fitting, the owner made a comment about me wearing Yeezy slides while adjusting my saddle height, which again felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Once I finally rode the bike, I started noticing multiple issues: The front wheel was not aligned properly The bar tape was installed incorrectly (wrapped backwards) The brake hoses were cut too short and routed too tightly around the stem Because of the brake hose issue, when I later changed handlebars, I had to pay extra for a new hose. These are basic assembly details that should have been done correctly the first time. When I brought these issues up, the shop dismissed my concerns and claimed I assembled the bike myself, which is not true. I gave them another chance with a second bike, but the result was similar. The drivetrain was so poorly set up that we initially thought something was broken. After multiple visits where they couldn't fix it, we ended up taking the bike to Trek another shop in Rockville, where it was resolved quickly with proper tuning. Overall, this shop showed a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and subpar assembly work (probably their new tech). I would not recommend them.
