Cathy stole $2500 from me and wasted months of my time. I had an absolute nightmare of an experience. After 7 months of Cathy delaying, the product she showed me was so awful. With no time left to spare, I had to go above budget and sacrifice other aspects of my wedding to buy a wearable dress elsewhere. Upon further research, I found other similar reviews on her previous google page "Ebrada Atelier" that she seemingly tried to cover up by adding a new page. I'm not the first bride she scammed. The photos below speak for themselves.. This is what I received vs. what I ordered (which was supposed to be "a better version" of this, thinning straps and changing out the liner for a higher quality liner). After a heartbreaking and extremely stressful stream of conversations, Cathy finally apologized and offered money back, only to send a text after the wedding saying that she would see us in court. Cathy was so much fun to work with! She did the alterations for my dress as well as made me a custom veil and belt to match. I initially came to her with a design idea for my veil that was pretty overdone. Cathy was happy to meet my wishes but discussed with me options that met my style but were more unique. I'm so happy she was honest and that I went with her suggestions! I had a French Quarter New Orleans wedding and I feel like the design Cathy created matched that vibe perfectly (waaaaaay better than what I initially had in mind!!). She truly made a one of a kind piece. There are a ton of hidden details that make the veil romantic, like two birds flying together to represent my husband and me, and our initials and wedding date. I also wanted something "blingy" but not tacky. Cathy and her team used clear and iridescent Swarovski crystals on my veil and belt to give it that "shimmer" effect without being over the top. I also kept losing weight before the wedding and Cathy and her team were so flexible to continuously have to take the dress in. Her seamstresses are hilarious and professional! She sometimes would bring them in so they could all collaborate. Three minds are always better than one! Cathy's a perfectionist and if she's not 100% sure, she pulls in her team to make sure. Cathy was reasonably priced, has so much knowledge of the wedding dress industry, and did a great job of my alterations. She is a very kind person too! DO NOT USE. I thought I was in good hands after my first appointment, but as soon as she got the money, it was ALL downhill. She cannot meet a deadline if her life depended on it. Would travel 45 minutes for appointments only to find that NOTHING had been worked on since the last appointment. She's full of excuses and I honestly cannot believe her doors are still open. A last minute invitation to an inaugural ball, left me with few options. I ordered 2 evening gowns on line from Nordstrom and shipped them overnight. To my dismay neither dress fit properly and I only had 3 days to find the perfect gown. I work in Leesburg and drive past Cathy's shop every day. The gowns in her window are beautiful and I actually look forward to peeking in her window each week to see the dresses on display. On a hope and a prayer, I called the shop on Wednesday and Cathy answered the phone. I explained my situation, what I was hoping to wear and my size. She made room in her schedule to see me that afternoon and when I arrived she had 6 gowns picked out for me to try on. In less than an hour, I found an almost perfect gown. Alterations were necessary and Cathy went to work. She is a master. She understands fabric and how to work with it like Michelangelo understood paint. My off the rack dress was transformed to a custom gown that fit every curve exactly right. She even created a custom belt adding crystals for a bit of sparkle and fun. The look on my husband's face when he saw me was priceless. And at the big event, surrounded by many beautifully dressed women, everyone wanted to know where I got my gown. Cathy is very nice and fun to talk to BUT it is very scary working with her. I brought my wedding dress to her and we had TEN FITTINGS over the span of 6 months! She was adding sleeves to my dress and doing the other typical alterations for a wedding dress (hem, bustle and cups). Every visit we had with her, she would tell us she would have x, y and z done by next fitting and we could set up that fitting in a week or so. She would always end up pushing back the fitting and when we would go to the fitting there would be almost no progress made on what she told us would be done. She had us sit around waiting during the fitting while she was clearly in the back rushing to finish things. She made it seem like she had experience making sleeves but in the end it seemed like she really had no idea what she was doing and needed help from another seamstress. In the end, she finished the sleeves and they did look nice but it was a scary/long process. We ended up having to take the dress to another seamstress in Leesburg a week before the wedding to get the dress re-fitted and the cups re-done because it wasn't done well. She had put 2 different color cups in my dress! And one of them had a smiley face drawn on it... They were also put in really loosely. The seamstress in Leesburg was shocked by her techniques on the dress - apparently the hem was done terribly too but we hadn't noticed. You could see the stitching of the hem through the lace because she hadn't done the hem correctly. I would not recommend working with Cathy, though she is very nice. read more

Cathy is outstanding and I'm so thankful a friend pointed me in her direction. I did not purchase my dress from Ebrada, but Cathy was more than happy to take me on as a client, even though my ballgown dress and its 5 layers of tulle required a lot of alterations. A few weeks out from my wedding now, it fits perfectly, but Cathy has made it clear she is available for me if I need any last minute adjustments or another steaming. Throughout the entire process Cathy was super friendly, took the time to explain every step and respond to all my questions very quickly. She was also very flexible with appointments to work around my crazy schedule. And when I couldn't find a veil I liked anywhere, Cathy designed one for me and it complements my dress perfectly. When I get back from my honeymoon I will be visiting Ebrada again to find that perfect cocktail dress for the three friends' weddings I have coming up next. Cathy was great to work with. I came to her after visiting a few larger bridal shops so I had narrowed down what I wanted. She ordered my gown direct from the designer and we had 3 fittings. My gown had a long detachable train in addition to a small train that could be bustled, and Cathy spent time with my sister in law making sure she knew how to deal with those pieces on the big day. read more

I had a great experience using Ebrada Atelier for my wedding dress alterations for my wedding on August 12th, 2017. Cathy was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My dress was very unique and very difficult to alter, but Cathy did a great job with it and it turned out beautifully. She really made sure that my dress was altered properly and she didn't do what was easiest, but what was best for the dress. She is very knowledgeable and experienced, and I feel grateful that I was able to have such a talented and passionate person do my dress alterations. Cathy was very responsive to texts and was very flexible with scheduling dress fittings, and letting us come by outside of normal business hours since I do not live in the area and could only do fittings on the weekends. She also altered my bridesmaids' dresses, and they also turned out great. Cathy was also so helpful to me during the time when Alfred Angelo filed bankruptcy and closed in mid-July. My dress was from Alfred Angelo, and fortunately I had the dress before the whole ordeal, but I unfortunately had not received my veil I ordered from them back in April. I was so stressed out because my wedding was the next month and I had no veil, so Cathy offered that she would help my mother recreate the veil I had ordered from Alfred Angelo. Cathy said she would teach her how to attach Swarovski crystals to look just like my veil, and I thought that was so nice of her to offer that. Fortunately, my mother was able to track down the veil manufacturer and obtain the same style veil in time for the wedding, but I had peace of mind knowing that Cathy and my mother would have made sure I had a beautiful veil on my wedding day. Cathy came to the venue on my wedding day to steam my dress, the bridesmaid dresses, and the mothers of the bride and groom's dresses. Cathy did us a huge favor by bringing my dress to the venue in the morning. We were on such a tight schedule as the wedding was at 11:00 AM and we would not have made it there in time with the dress for the photographer to take photos of my dress before I put it on. She helped me get into my dress and was able to make quick alterations to any of the dresses if necessary. She also made sure to show my bridesmaids how to bustle my dress before the ceremony so they would be able to do it before the reception. I cannot say enough kind words about Cathy and her work. Because of her, I was able to truly enjoy my wedding reception with a second dress. I bought a beautiful wedding gown, but after picking it up from alterations, I realized I was not going to be comfortable dancing in it. I frantically started looking for a dress that I could change into later in the reception for dancing. I gave Cathy a call a week before my wedding and she graciously offered for me to come to her shop right away. After meeting with her, we realized that a custom dress was the best option to meet the vision of my second dress. Cathy was so sympathetic and offered to make a custom gown for me in a week! Unbelievable!! We sat down together and she sketched out a dress. She then took my measurements right away, researched and purchased the material (after showing me a number of beautiful options to pick from), AND added hand beaded embellishments. It doesn't stop there... Since I was scrambling those last couple days before the wedding, she drove an hour to my home for one of the fittings and then again to deliver the final dress to me. The dress was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, so comfortable, and impeccably tailored to my body. I received so many compliments. It truly made my day so special and a lot more enjoyable! read more
