What made an already stressful situation even harder was having to part ways with our original contractor and start over midway through the process. By the time we found Matt and his team at Bailey & Bear, we were exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly a little wary. Hiring Bailey & Bear ended up being the BEST decision I have ever made as a homeowner. His team built back our entire home, so essentially my whole house was built by Bailey & Bear. I will ALWAYS work with Matt and his team for any future construction needs. From the very beginning, Matt earned our trust. He stepped into a complicated project, took the time to understand where things stood, and helped us create a path forward. Throughout the entire rebuild, he was patient, communicative, and incredibly responsive. I mean, responding within MINUTES. No question was too small, and no concern was brushed aside. In a process that can often leave homeowners feeling powerless, Matt consistently made us feel heard and supported. It was a NIGHT AND DAY difference from any previous experiences I've had with other contractors. What stands out most to me is that Matt genuinely cares. He helped us navigate the stressful decisions with a level head, and always approached challenges with a calm, solution-oriented attitude. He and his crew treat your house as a home (not just a construction zone) when they're on site. The high level of respect & integrity remained the same for the entire time we worked together, which was months. The quality of the work speaks for itself. Our home is GORGEOUS. We've had friends (who work in the industry) make several comments about how the attention to detail on the finish work is impressive. Every room reflects the care, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that Bailey & Bear brought to the project. There were countless moving pieces, and somehow Matt kept everything progressing while maintaining a level of transparency and professionalism that is increasingly rare. After living through a major home loss, I can say with complete confidence that who you choose as your contractor matters as the single more important decision for a home remodel. I am so so so grateful that we found Bailey & Bear. Matt helped guide us through one of the most stressful experiences of our lives and delivered a home that we are genuinely proud of. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your home, you ABSOLUTELY MUST hire Matt and his team. I'd be happy to personally speak with anyone considering his bid!

We live in the Houston area and wanted a Murphy Bed for our guest room and we shopped a number of…read moreretail stores, looked at hundreds of beds on the internet, and never found one we liked. Then I stumbled on Wizards for Hire. In one of his website's archive pictures, he had the ONLY bed we liked. I reached out through the contact form on the website and heard back from Stephen Cruser, who prefers being called simply "Cruser." Cruser answered all of my questions so we decided to buy simply from the picture without seeing the product in person He sent me an invoice to pay half up front, and the other half after the bed was delivered and installed. He sent me an invoice, and I paid the upfront amount by credit card (I figured I was safe with credit card protection, so I felt I had little to lose). From time of order, until installation, the timing was about 7 weeks. When it was all said and done, Cruser answered all of my questions and he built us a custom KING SIZE Murphy Bed with bookcases on each side, with side drawers that serve as nightstands and in power and USB plugs on each side bookcase. He also installed lights that shine down on the pillow area when you are in bed, that turn on/off and dim with a remote control (you can read while in bed and turn the lights on and off without having to get up). He also let us pick out our cabinet hardware and paint color. An added bonus, the compression shocks that help offset the weight of the bed when opening and closing, and the Murphy Bed hardware he uses has a LIFETIME GUARANTEE! Cruser showed up promptly this morning to install our bed. He arrived with bookcases that were assembled, and all other wood panels and other trim arrived in separate pieces and painted to the color of our choice (we picked out in advance). He began putting the bed together and installing the bed and spent more than 4 HOURS assembling and installing the bed. When it was all said and done and we saw it fully installed, my wife, who was reluctant to buy a Murphy Bed from the onset, summed it up in one word: "AMAZING!" He told me, he has built MORE THAN 1000 MURPHY BEDS and has delivered and installed them as far as MAINE! Cruser did a wonderful job, our bed is beautiful! We give Cruser a resounding 5 STAR RATING and we could not be happier with our choice! We are now raving fans and would wholeheartedly recommend you contact Cruser if you want a MURPHY Bed. TO BOOT...His price was considerably less than store bought beds and other prices I got from local folks who build Murphy Beds locally in the Houston area. We hired Joy and her crew at Reflections Remodeling to completely gut and remodel two bathrooms. We…read morereceived several quotes but went with Joy because I felt very comfortable with her and she was easy to work with. She has lived in or around my neighborhood for decades and I liked that her shop was just up the street. Her crew was very respectful, professional, always on time and willing to answer any (and all!) questions. It was a long project and there were usually two people in our house for 6 weeks. Like I said - it was a full gut to the studs and then built back out. The project was completed on time and the changes to quote/contract were only due to requests and changes we made. There were never any surprises. They laid down floor coverings every morning to protect the hallway, front entry and bedroom and then cleaned up every day when they left. They did our master bathroom first. They ripped out a 40+year old tub/shower combo insert, toilet, vanity, mirror, popcorn ceiling, etc. They built a custom shower floor, moved the drain and installed new plumbing. They tiled the floor, the walk-in shower and a full wall of tile behind the toilet and vanity. The end result was beautiful and the work was fantastic. There will always be questions and some touch up on a project this size but they were always quick to fix anything that I noticed seemed "off" to me and even came back on a Saturday to check on a non-emergency item that they knew we were anxious to have completed. They did the guest bathroom after the master was complete. Same thing - ripped out an old tub/shower insert, removed everything down to the studs, removed popcorn, etc. They then installed a brand new tub, toilet, plumbing, vanity, mirror, and added some electrical. They tiled the floor and around the shower, build a custom shelf at one end of the tub, installed a light tube (a great way to bring natural light into a dark bathroom/hallway!) and installed the vanity, mirror and lights. Joy and her team were a pleasure to work with and very helpful when I had questions about some final decisions I had to make. They offered suggestions when I asked. Thanks Zach, Donna, Felix, Stephen and Eduardo!

We purchased our kitchen during IKEA kitchen sales - and realized later it is a pain to find the right crew to do it, as a lot of general contractors out there are either not willing to touch IKEA products or to charge ridiculous amount to read through the manuals. Of course we can go with IKEA partner - but they are kinda on the expensive side and so swapped due to the sales event. I met with Joy and Donna - both are very knowledgeable and decided to work with them. Joy's crew worked hard to stick with the agreed timeline and the quality is beyond expectation. From the very beginning the quote Joy sent over was itemized, clear and precise. They also have a very comprehensive contract to sign with you (I was surprised to see some of the companies dont do that!). Before signing - all the terms and clauses are carefully explained. During the process - her crew is NEVER LATE. Actually they are often early! Martinez led the project and he is very dedicated, detail oriented and patient. He helped answer all my questions (yes it is very important for a remodeling new-bee). Whenever there is a problem he would always make sure to walk me through the options and offer his professional opinion. The office crew is amazing to work with as well - they are very responsive, willing to listen and accommodate. We had one minor fix after the remodeling and when I raised the question, the office sent their guy over right away. Overall I will definitely recommend them!
