Shawn did this Master Shower a little over a year ago. Please forgive me for writing this review late. But, every time I look at our shower, our tile and our floor; I fall in love with Shawn's craftsmanship all Over again. Shawn is very meticulous to details, especially with perspective and his cuts. Like a true expert and perfectionist. Shawn encouraged us to buy our materials at Floor n Decor (which we did). I encourage anybody looking at tile or flooring to do that. What I also love about Shawn and his work is he doesn't lie or BS. He actually isn't afraid to share bad news if he sees it, which I like. Better than finding an issue years down the road because the contractor didn't pay attention. Also, Shawn doesn't "over promise" and miss deadlines and under-deliver. Shawn is extremely talented and a hard worker! There are simply not enough good things to say about him. We contacted Shawn to get a quote for a new shower and bathroom flooring. Unfortunately the previous homeowners went with someone who did a poor job which resulted in a leak. We got a few quotes but felt Shawn was the most honest. We are SO glad we went with him. From the start he was a clear communicator. Throughout the entire job he kept us updated and let us know what to expect. Shawn just finished tiling our kitchen, pantry, hall, and bathroom with porcelain "wood" plank tiles. We found Shawn from a recommendation on our community Facebook page. Shawn quickly gave us a fair quote and was able to accommodate our scheduling needs. This is the second time we have used Castle Stone and Tile. Shawn and Matt are a great team, organized, and efficient. They did our guest house floors, bathroom /shower and entire kitchen wall with porcelain tiles and it turned out beautifully. We were happy they were able to come out and complete a couple of smaller bathroom floors for us this Spring. And, this time they were doing work in the house we live in so they were mindful to work around our lives. Shawn is a careful worker who obviously takes pride not only in his work and also in the flow of the process. He works in such a way that the job is executed smoothly and there are not long delays in between the steps of the work. If you get the tiles picked out - he can steer you through the rest. He advised us (wisely) to paint after the old floors were ripped out and we scheduled a few days in between demo and install to make time for this. They cleaned up every day after work and communicated every step of the way to make sure tiles were set the way in which they would look best. We would and will likely hire Shawn and Matt again, as we learned this time they can do fireplaces tile too! Finally - when Shawn noticed a crack in the grout of our shower from the previous job in the guest house (due to our property settling) he fixed it straight away. Looking at the photos of the other work that Shawn has done, my project was a piece of cake for him. For me though, it was just what I wanted and needed. I was converting an extra bedroom into a laundry room/office.
