I cannot recommend Shayla Green highly enough for anyone in need of top-tier property management…read more Shayla managed my property in Maryland for the past four years, and her level of support, dedication, and professionalism has been absolutely exceptional throughout our entire time working together. From day one, she took complete ownership of the property, providing me with total peace of mind. Her communication was always prompt and transparent, and she handled every detail, day to day issues and tenants need seamlessly. Thanks to her proactive management style, I never had to worry about issues of being a landlord. My primary focus right now is to sell the property, so our contract is coming to an end. However, if my selling plans change or do not work out exactly as anticipated, I would love to reach out to Shayla again to utilize her services. If you are looking for an experienced, reliable, and highly professional property manager who truly cares about her clients, look no further than Shayla Green. I am forever grateful and appreciate all she did for me. It felt really good to just look at monthly rental bank deposits instead of day-to-day issues...Thank you so much Ms. Green...I really appreciate you and your terrific team.!!!

I would not recommend Prime Resource as a Property Management firm. The company was easy enough to…read morereach throughout my time working with them, but I was not happy with tenant placement and general customer service. I hired Prime Resource to manage my property at the end of 2019 and allowed them to manage my property for a little under 2 years. I would have likely had better luck managing the property on my own, as the things I aimed to avoid when deciding to hire out happened anyway. I understand tenants are unpredictable, and if the case was a thoroughly vetted tenant, turned bad - this would be forgivable. This was not the case for the tenant selected for my property, however! There were plenty of red flags, easily located by just a MD court search - no complicated vetting needed. The style of management was not proactive, but rather reactive - with most actions being requested by me. Along with the slew of issues with the tenant, to include but not limited to, nonpayment of rent, destruction of neighboring property, disrepair of appliances, several break-ins when none existed before and no further reports of increase criminal activity in the neighborhood; we discovered even more after the property was vacated that could have been mitigated with basic management. The tenant clearly had pets, a non-documented occupant, and was smoking in the home. I terminated my contact with 'no cause' in order to easily move on, but I had a feeling my property was not being managed well. I am glad I did!

We live in a rowhouse with all the normal problems one would expect over the years, and they've never let us down. I have worked with Yarmouth Property Management in Washington, DC for decades, and I cannot…read morerecommend them highly enough. They currently manage five properties for me, and over all these years their communication has been consistently excellent--clear, timely, and proactive. I am never left wondering about an issue, a tenant matter, or a maintenance decision. They anticipate questions before I ask them and respond quickly and thoughtfully whenever something arises. Their financial reporting is exceptionally clear and well organized. The statements are easy to understand, accurate, and dependable, which makes long-term ownership and planning far less stressful. As a property owner, that level of transparency and professionalism is invaluable. Equally important is their dedication to the properties themselves. Yarmouth treats each building with care and attention, not as a commodity but as a long-term asset that deserves thoughtful maintenance and stewardship. They balance tenant needs, regulatory requirements, and owner priorities with real skill and judgment. It is rare to find a property management firm that delivers this level of consistency and integrity over such a long period of time. After decades of working together, I can say without hesitation that Yarmouth has earned my complete trust and continues to be a pleasure to work with.

She explained the owner wanted income before completing the renovations so we would rent before they were completed which is odd. She also mentioned that maintenance sometimes falls on the tenant if the company seems you at fault, which felt like a nice way to say "we will charge you regardless of the reason for the issue". We followed up about applying and were willing to after getting our questions answered, but she never replied. We messaged her personal number she gave us multiple times, followed up through Thos D Walsh, and emailed, never heard anything back. Overall, felt scammy and never got a response from her or anyone. I've seen other reviews saying the same. I'd recommend staying away.

I finally received a response on the 15th--five days later--and scheduled an appointment to view the unit. They were fully aware that I would be traveling over 8 hours from out of state for this showing. After that one response, I was completely ghosted. No confirmation, no follow-up, and no one showed up for the appointment. Even after emailing again for clarification, I never heard back. For a company that manages rentals and deals with people making serious life decisions, this kind of behavior is not only disappointing--it's deeply unprofessional. Luckily, I had three other property visits planned that day. But to treat someone who's investing their time, money, and energy to relocate so carelessly is unacceptable. I strongly caution anyone considering working with Thos. D. Walsh, Inc., Realtors. If this is how they treat prospective tenants before a lease is even signed, I can only imagine how difficult it would be once you're locked into a contract. Do not put your trust or faith in this company. They have shown a complete lack of reliability, professionalism, and basic human courtesy.

They seem to have denied responsibility and have continued to ignore requests to repair these pipes and the related damage. They're also quite rude. They left a Washington Gas account open at our new address for more than a year and repeatedly refused to call Washington Gas to cancel it. So, my wife had to do it for them instead. All the while, the people in the M Squared offices dismissively claimed they had nothing to do with it. Starting off the list: 1) They allowed our AC/Heat to stay broken in the dead of summer for 5 months. The only reason they fixed it was because we said we were moving out. They said it was our fault, that we didn't change the filters, but we had proof that they were changed. And the technician told them explicitly to replace the blower the first time he came to fix the AC. Luckily we left before it got too cold. 2) The paint they used on the walls was very cheap and cracked very easily. Leading to them taking a large chunk out of our security deposit because they had to double paint. Apparently $3300 is how much it costs to paint 1 floor of a house with cheap paint. 3) They raised our rent $300 at the start of the pandemic before it became illegal. $200 extra for month to month and $100 for an annual rent raise. 4) They offered us the parking space in the back but then took it out from under us to sell the downstairs unit. 5) The house had mice when we first moved in. 3 of them within a month span before we finally found and patched up the hole. But I will say this is common with DC houses so not their fault. Unfortunately they let landlords walk all over their renters and refuse to fix problems. Especially in old houses that are bound to have issues. They use the fact that renters don't want the expenditure of taking action in court so they make every excuse to squeeze you. Absolutely the worst experience we've had renting in the 10 years we've been renting apartments/houses.
