They arrived on time and got right to work, bringing in their equipment carefully and putting corner guards in place throughout the house. One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent. They were efficient and quick (but not too quick!), and the carpets looked very clean when they were through. The price is one of the most reasonable I have found in Reno and includes a military discount (thank you, Zach, for your patriotism!). Fresh Start is fairly new to our area, but not new to the business of cleaning flooring. We look forward to trying their tile cleaning service next. The gentleman on the phone told me that rooms larger than 200 square feet would cost more (I forgot the actual price) and any special treatments would cost additional as well. He helped me schedule a time for the following week. About 15 minutes before the scheduled time, I received a phone call letting me know that they would be arriving soon. I wasn't there but my partner was there and said everything went well. We opted for the basic cleaning and didn't expect all the stains to be removed (for example, some chalk paint in the hallway). The carpet looks much better! The invoice noted the stains that couldn't be removed and the traffic wear pattern in the hallway. We had reasonable expectations for what carpet cleaning could do and are satisfied with the entire experience. Would definitely hire again for future carpet cleaning needs.

On this occasion she was visible to all in the meeting, she's wearing a caftan, and her sleeve gets stuck on the doorknob. You know what happened next. Green drink is everywhere, and now we have got problems. My wife is trying to apologize, my peers are seeing and hearing the pain and I am sure they're uncomfortable at the site of the green drink spilling all over the room. It's a bad couple of minutes, but it brings us to the purpose of this review. We need professional help. As usual, our first stop is Yelp, and, again, we are not let down. Connoisseur Carpet, Tile and Upholstery Cleaning has 12 reviews and five stars, and they are from our local community, what's not to like. We give them a call, and they come by that afternoon and take care of the green drink dilemma. But the fun does not stop there, we've got additional needs. Green drink is prompting us to take care of some other issues. You see we need to have some tile cleaned in a shower and in our kitchen, and so we need to make an appointment for these services. That all got wrapped up today. So, now in the Zoom room even though it did have a positive outcome, as it caused us to take a few items off of our 'to do' list. We have got a clean and sealed shower, a cleaned and sealed kitchen (both, by the way, are made of travertine) and a spot cleaned carpet in one of our rooms (my Zoom room). What are you looking for in a professional tile and carpet cleaner? Should they show up on time? Should they communicate if they might be a couple of minutes late? Should they give you a price and stick to that price? Should they, if possible, stop by on the day of the incident to clean up the cause of the phone call in the first place? If your answer to these questions is yes, then I'd encourage you to consider Connoisseur Carpet, as Mike delivered on all of the above, and it was clear to me that he had knowledge that augmented his credibility. I requested a quote and an appointment via yelp for a move out clean and was quoted between $120-$140 and was scheduled two weeks out. I called two days before to confirm the date and time and then received a call the day before and was confirmed the time and the price. The day of, I was called 45 mins before the scheduled time and was told they were there waiting for me. So I had to hurry out of work to get there to open the door. The techs reviewed the carpets and told me it would be $300 without a deodorizer! The woman stated it's because the carpets are dirty (obviously they are or I wouldn't be having them cleaned!) ‍I told them I was quoted between $120-$140 and they wanted the name of the person who told me that. I told them I had it in writing and confirmed it the day before with a woman over the phone. The two techs talked in the other room (not too quietly or politely) and agreed to do the carpets for $140 without the deodorizer to "give her what she wants and get it over with". I left the techs to do the carpets and return back to work. The next day I checked the carpets and they were done basic and didn't look like they were done at all. The pictures show the "cleaning after their services". It's such a shame the new owners techs are ruining the clientele the previous owners had spent years establishing. Sadly I will not be using their services again or recommending them to anyone else. We are in the middle of a pandemic and it's shameful that people see a single mother of 3 as a way to up charge $160.00! Shameful.

I had huge black spots on my light tan carpet in both the entry way and the hall. He was able to remove both spots. I felt the cost of the service was well worth it...I actually kinda felt like I got a bargain. I also was delighted that he didn't leave the carpet soaking wet. It only took about 5 hours to fully dry. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!
