My family and I wanted to get take out from Casey's last night...Website is"under repair" so I took a quick ride down there to get a take out menu to bring home so everyone could see. They have no take out menus! Really annoying. Since I couldn't memorize the entire menu so my family could choose something for take out, we ordered from somewhere else. Too bad! I also stopped in here for a drink or two with a friend of mine last summer and the bartender ignored us and talked to the townies about her new boobs the whole time. Classy! I really like Casey's and frequent there multiple times a month. Their food is always good but sadly I can't say the same for their service. The first couple times I had visited I had to wait long at the bar to even get acknowledged which is really unacceptable and I could tell the regulars were being favored first. For the most part the servers are all very nice but what is truly amazing is the food. Great pub food, love going here with my friends for a couple drinks and apps or even have visited for a birthday party which was awesome also. The only thing I would change is them being more observant. Recognize newer customers and favor them rather than the regulars because they may be new to town (in my case) and bring in other customers. Bad service like that pushes people away. Could easily be 1 star. Wings are not good. Burgers are not good. Fries were pretty good. Mediocre beer selection. Waitress screwed up and brought me the wrong beer but I said I would drink it anyway. She charged me full price which was more than the beer that I originally ordered. Lame. Got a large order of boneless wings for $17.99 which is a dollar per wing. Got half buffalo and half Roman. Wings are decent size but had no flavor. Blue cheese was bland too. The burger was pretty much a frozen patty that was overlooked. I feel bad for the people of Holliston that are forced to go here because of limited other options. The last two times I went to Casey's Crossing for dinner, my son & I ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer & burgers. The mozzarella sticks were brought out still half-frozen in the center both times we went there. I was brought the wrong drink, and my burger was not as ordered either. I was polite each time things were wrong, but the waitress was not terribly friendly about correcting the mistakes. I met a friend one night for a beer it was flat and disgusting. So disappointing, because the food used to be great and I really like to support local businesses, but I will not be going back there again. read more

Nice place to have a drink but, MY GOD, the food is awful. I live close by and stop in for a beer. Every once in a while I summon my courage, hope for the best and order some food. And, I feel like a fool. This last time the cook refused to cook my chicken sandwich again because " that's how they all come out" , blackened from a fryer with oil that hasn't been changed since the Clinton administration , he's probably right. Food's ok in this Americanized Irish pub. I enjoyed the onion soup I had, but it wasn't anything to call home about. They also have something on their wall that says "Pog Mo Thoin" which means kiss my ass in Irish, which the waiter had no idea about. read more

The reviews aren't steller here but I must say that the best burger I ever ate was at this place. Big patty with some sort of red chili rub on it. DELICIOUS. Add in the fresh kettle chips and it's a winner. Now, I wasn't there for the "sports bar" part of it, I went there during lunch and there were only a few people there. Went after work on a Friday and the crowd was OK. I didn't see any of the crazies other reviewers saw at this place. It was mostly people in their 30s and up there after work. The bartender was very friendly and their selection was OK. The atmosphere was typical of most bars in the area. read more

The food's decent here - standard Irish pub fare. I work near here and go here occasionally for lunch or after work. Nothing on their menu stands out for me to write about but nothing is ever bad either. Oh! They have sweet potato fries. Any place automatically gets at least 1 extra star if they have good sweet potato fries. read more

When I want a really juicy amazing burger, this is the place to go

Stopped in here for dinner the other night..had been once before for drinks and really liked the atmosphere but the food wasn't that great. I should have known better than to order fried pickles anywhere but in the south but these tasted burnt and way too over breaded..I ordered the pulled pork platter but they were all out (which must be a good sign!) so we both ended up getting 2 different versions of steak tips and neither of us really loved them. The portions are very generous but wish it had just tasted a little better! Service was pretty good for as busy as they were and we did win a few bucks at keno while we were waiting so that was a plus! Would definitely go again for drinks and probably give the food another chance..hear they have excellent wings! read more

There has been a huge improvement in the food and atmosphere at this bar since we went there first a few years ago. The new menu is popular with my kids, and I think the smoked pulled pork, braised ribs and burgers are all excellent and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent at first following this change, then the last couple of times it was very busy and no one greeted us when we entered. Several groups of people were standing around waiting to be seated. I guess now that they have good food, they are getting more customers, but they need to come up with a better system for waiting tables and assign someone as the hostess. read more

A small pub in the small town of Holliston I have been there many times, and will go back many more. I have had great service, and not so great service. I have brought the kids (much earlier in the evening before the foul mouthed townies wander in) and joined many other "families" that frequent this establishment. Our four-year old begs to go every time we say we are going out. If you are looking for a place to go, and really have nothing else to do that evening (since the service can be spotty) I recommend it. We stay away if we are in a hurry! The food is really exceptional... hamburgers are to die for and all their dressings and sauces are homemade and really good. Try the BBQ wings or their homemade pizza. A wedding after party was held last month on the second level. The food was enjoyable, but the most enjoyable part was one server named Izzy. She stood out with her cheery disposition and dedication to assisting another server who was assigned the wedding party. She should not only be commended for her hard work and attitude, but others should look to her as an example of what a quality server/bar tender should be. read more

We had a wonderful dinner/drinks at Casey's and took the onion rings home they were so good. The wait staff and bartenders were attentive and pleasant and the prices are pretty reasonable. our family attended a fundraiser for the holliston food pantry the day before the superbowl (SUPERbowl). there were five local restaurants that provided all you can eat soup. casey's offered clam chowder. it was the best clam chower i've had the privileged to eat. and eat i did. my wife raved about it, and our 7 and 11 year old boys couldn't get enough. so, i sought out casey's to try some of their other offerings. i ran across the reviews on yelp and was rather surprised. there are a lot of people suggesting there is a bias toward locals. that may be the case, but i am going to give it a try. not only did they serve up an amazing chowder, they did it for free for what must have been well over 100 people. that says a lot in my book. i will update this review after our visit. read more

Went to Casey's on a week night recently. Its was fairly busy and sat upstairs. After waiting 15 minutes for a server had to go find one. Only one waitress working that night. She said she would get to us when she could. Not her fault, just not enough help. Had to wait a long time for drinks and to order food. Ordered nachos and burgers. Nachos were terrible. Hardly any cheese on them, the rest of the ingredients were just thrown to one side. Just not worth ordering again. Burgers were ok, nothing great. Wife had a salad with chicken on it. Overloaded with dressing and chicken was a little tough. After finishing we asked for our check. Again with only one waitress and she was busy with other tables. Ten minutes to get the check. Won't be back to Casey's. Too bad, nice location for Holliston people. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. My family and I ate here once. We walked in the front door and were ignored by the entire wait staff for about ten minutes. We finally got seated. The food was ok, but took a long time. Tried to go back tonight. Same result, all the employees walked right by us. We stood there and waited for approximately fifteen minutes, no one came over. As soon as a table opened up, a waitress walked over to the group of four "townies" (that came in ten minutes after us, but she knew them) and told them to sit down. We eventually left. I have never been to a place like this before. If you want to be ignored, this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

We decided to try Casey's because we live close by. They kind of ignore you for a while if your not a "regular." As we sat there several quite filthy men came in to sit at the bar for that obviously necessary after work drink. Finally we were allowed to place our order. The chatter at the bar was heard by anyone sitting even reasonably close to the bar. Mostly work complaints though it looked like most of them had been napping under a dirty rock. Food arrives and is just barely ok. So, unless your a town worker or local landscaper ya might want to skip Casey's. read more

My office just ordered from Casey's. We have done so in the past a couple of times. I think it's hit or miss. We ordered about 8 or 10 meals. I got the buffalo wing salad. Not Good. It was lots of the white sour inner pieces from the head of lettuce. The menu specifically mentioned celery and there was not one piece in the salad. You MUST have celery when you're eating buffalo chicken. There was plenty of chicken but It had hardly any sauce on it. One piece didn't have any at all. It's almost like someone was in a rush, but that's no excuse. But.......the bleu cheese dressing was delicious. read more

Went to Caseys on a friend recommendation. Atmosphere was great for a small pub. Our waitress was very inexperienced and every question we asked her about a menu item we got the same response " I wouldn't know, I am a vegan". After the 3rd or 4 question we asked we realized we were not going to get any kind of answer from her. She came by every 3 minutes to see if we were ready to order. I ordered a bourbon and water and she came back with a shot of bourbon! Although young and inexperienced waitress did make us think twice before returning to Caseys, our overall opinion was the food was good pub food. Please train your staff to address the questions about food times you offer on your menu. Even if they have never tried the item a simple reply " the fish tacos are very poplular with our patrons". read more

This place kind of sucks now. They try too hard to be upscale but everyone that goes there is a drunk townie. They used to have buckhunter and golden tee and one of those photo hunt thingys, but no mas. It is kind of a drag that they got rid of it. They have nice leather couches upstairs and pool tables (they used to also have air hockey and foosball, but it wasnt klassy enough). The food is very good and the drinks are cheap. My boyfriend and I arrived here for a late dinner since he had fond memories of the wings(which I love trying anywhere) and he was in the mood for shepards pie. Parking looked full upon arrival but when we walked in I realized it was larger inside than I thought. There is a decent sized bar and high top area. Upstairs is a loft with a pool table if you want to hang out. We sat @ the bar and waited for the bartender...either they need more help(it wasn't that busy) or the staff needs to be friendlier. As one review said,if u aren't a regular expect to wait. The wings were blah...I had to add more hot sauce to give them any flavor and the shepards pie was 98% potato. Waiting for the bill after asking for it took longer than it should...I am not in a hurry to go back for a meal. If you want to stop in and grab a beer by all means enjoy the flat screens and the wall decor,otherwise I would keep driving. read more

This is a hard review. Casey's has the best BONELESS buffalo wings around. Period. The rest of the menu is horrible. So if you like boneless buffs, this is your place. The service is very inconsistent. It is either very good or bad. But overall a nice local pub. read more

We just went to Casey's for the first time, and I really had high hopes, but the service was horrendous. My husband and I brought our 1 1/2 year old daughter, so we got there at 4:45PM to make sure that we would get our food quickly and our daughter wouldn't have a meltdown. We ordered our food: a grilled cheese, wings, soup, salad, and a tuna melt at 5PM and didn't get anything until 5:45PM. There were quite a few takeout orders going out the door, but we were the first people in the restaurant to order food and there is no way that order should take 45 minutes. Also, a couple that came into the restaurant after we placed our order received a plate of wings before we got any of our food. Once the food arrived at the table, it was cold. The waitress dropped off the food and didn't even ask if we wanted more drinks which were empty. I had to go up to the bartender to refill my husband's water where I received an icy response from the bartender. At this point my daughter couldn't sit still any longer and didn't want to eat the disgusting cold grilled cheese we ordered for her. I had flag down the waitress to pay and get to-go boxes. Only then did the waitress express any real apology for the food taking so long. After I packaged everything up, I received the bill which didn't even include an itemized receipt. I'm not even sure what I paid for. The only positive was that the wings were really good, even cold. read more

Casey's is in a word, unwelcoming. Previous posts citing that they cater to regulars & no one else is spot on, so if you're not one, patronize another establishment. This place is out of the way - 30 minutes from home. I confirmed earlier in the day if the US Women's World Cup game would be watched that evening (and if not no hard feelings, I would just try Casey's another time.) When my wife and I arrived, no one was watching it, and the servers ignored us - walking almost through us to continue what they were doing. Every TV was on the last-place Sox game, and one TV was on a RE-RUN of the NBA draft. All the bartender would do was to put it on one small TV in the corner of the bar; a TV visible to only a handful of bar stools, all of which were taken, and for all intents and purposes unwatchable to any actual table seating. No idea if the food is inedible, good, great, because we weren't made to feel welcome, left, and will never be back. Casey's is entitled to run their place how they want, but being disingenuous and dismissive gets you placed on my blacklist because you don't deserve my money. read more

Went there a couple of weeks ago with friends on a Saturday around 5:30 after driving by it for about 8 years. Nice on the inside, husband and I were pretty excited about the potential of a new (to us) local spot to go to. Well, we ordered an order of buffalo wings (on the bone considered "the best", no heat if you like heat), an order of onion rings and an order of the boneless italian wings. Waiter brought everything, said we were getting more onion rings, fine. We never did. After eating several of the boneless wings, my husband started to eat one that was raw. Not just under cooked - RAW. The waitress took them away and they did take them off the bill. My friend and I got the onion soup. It was lukewarm, they took it back and threw it into the microwave, cheese and all. Still was lukewarm, salty, etc. Another friend got the ribs - dry and tough. My husband, however, did enjoy the shepard's pie. Needless to say, this place is not on our hit list. We'll never go back. read more
