Our salads came out and all was well. Then we waited and waited. We were informed that one of the potato pizzas we ordered couldn't be made because they were out of potatoes. No big deal. We changed the order. Then the group next us - who came in 20 minutes after us and ordered after us all got served their pizzas(including a few potato pizzas). While we waited and was not served. Finally realizing that our diverse group of 5 was being shafted for the very non-diverse group of 8 we asked for our pizzas to go and we left. So if the intention of Il Lazzarone was to make us feel sidelined and "othered" - congratulations. Job well done. Because we left there being reminded of just how how bigotry feels. I opted for a 12" buffalo chicken pizza with some pepperoni. I chose well... it's one of the better pizzas I've ever had. Unfortunately the 12" was too much. Take heed: a 10" is probably enough for anybody, even if it's thin crust. Service was generally quick the entire time. If you're feeling pizza and are in the area, this is a very good choice. Just maybe stick to the pizza over the pasta?
