We have been going there for about 15 years. Used to go all the time but will take a long time to want to go back. I get the food is pretty simple but we always liked the place anyway. The problem is the people there always liked putting people on edge by being rude rather than welcoming. They have taken their rudeness to a new level. Nice hidden jewel. First time here. Burger and hotdog was good. Would like to try the breakfast sometime soon. Only thing is no fries are included which kind of left me still hungry. Lol. This is the place that my dad and I go to for a burger and a hot dog. I have been going here for years and I love this place. If you have read other reviews of this place, this place makes a wonderful boiled hot dog, and the environment is reminiscent of the old fashioned diners. The hot dogs are so addictive that i have to return often to get my fix. I think that they must add something to the water that make it so good. Beer is my guess. Brian, the guy at the grill, also cooks up a tasty burger. It is a hand made burger, not frozen and purchased from the warehouse store. You can taste the difference. Two thumbs up. Very disappointed. I will never go back. I went with my daughter and ordered 2 burgers. Long wait and she got hers and I was told mine would be out soon. My simple order of a cheeseburger took half an hour or more, with numerous mistakes. I asked for bacon, didn't come with it, asked for fried egg, didn't come with it. The foods fine, the employee who served me acted indignant though, making excuses for why the food took forever, then he was unpleasant and unapologetic when I explained why I was unhappy with my meal and service. Casey's diner is a real old fashioned dining car with no tables, and only about 15 or so counter stools. The menu is limited to hot dogs, burgers, and a select number of sandwiches - but this is a gem of a place. The friendly servers are always chatting with the diners, and you get to watch the short order cooks right in front of you. So you kind of get a meal and a "show" for one low price. This place IS NOT fancy in any way. But the people are friendly, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is excellent. The hot dogs are simple (steamed), but excellent. I order mine "all the way" which basically comes with mustard and onion. The burgers are excellent too. Clearly these guys buy real good food products, because you can taste the difference when you bite into one of their hot dogs or burgers. A common "tradition" is to order a burger with chips, and a hot dog as an appetizer. A burger, chips, a dog and drink will cost you about $10. When time allows, my son and I make the 10 mile drive to Casey's on a Saturday for lunch - New England needs more places like this! read more

Let me got back to the first time or attempt to go to Casey's. Three years ago, I arrive in the lot of the hot dog place on a snow covered day.Parking was very limited The only place to park was to the side in front of the walk up window not to block it. Just as I got out of my car, a man opened the sliding walk up window and yells "hey don't park there" and slams the window shut. I was taken back so that I drove away. Today, no spaces in front so I head to the rear to my surprise, there where two vehicles right where I attempted to park that wintery day. No big deal. I walked in ordered a hot dog to a nice waitress. I was talking to the waitress about the parking incident she looked at the man working with her that was not part of the conversation and she left to the kitchen. The man said " because idiots don't know how to park" while looking at his friend. I smiled and said oh, was that you? He said "ya and your'e one of the idiots don't know how to park" I asked why would you talk like that" He said nothing I said there are no signs not to park any particular place. He said " yah there is it's called between the lines but idios can't follow that" I sad why are you saying that? I got upset and looked for the waitress pulled out my debit card to pay and leave. (after one bite of my hot dog) The owner or cook said "cash only, can't you read" I said I have no cash he said there is an ATM when I asked where he yells, out-side. I don't know maybe I need to come back and try something different. I ordered two hot dogs and a soda at the takeout window so maybe I didn't get the true Casey's experience. Hot dogs were okay, super thin, but with natural casing which was good. The roll was a little flimsy since I think they steam them as well. The interior is really small so it is hard to get a seat, hence the long line at the take out window. I like the idea of this place better than the actual food and service, but I might give it another try when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Seating is very limited but the outside counter does help when you are in a rush. This is my 2nd favorite place to grab a hot dog. Talk about historic little diner, I once went to Coney island in Worcester and had four hot dogs, then stopped at Caseys for two more. If you can get a seat at the tiny counter it makes it so much more fun. Love the sliding door to enter the place. It began as a hot dog cart on wagon wheels and got pulled around Natick before landing on a foundation, very neat history. read more

Believe the hype! For a long time, we resisted going. The menu just sounded too limited. Hot dogs and hamburgers. No fries. No home made pie. But Diner Don (the diner artist) told us we really needed to go. So we did. Fortunately we read the yelp reviews, so we knew to get a burger as well as a hot dog. First off, the place is charming and well-maintained, in spite of its age. The flowers add a a lovely touch of homeyness. Unfortunately I forgot about the review I had read that the front door slides open, and I was afraid we wouldn't get in. Fortunately someone inside helped us out. The hot dog was pretty ordinary. But tasty. Heck, I don't think I've ever met a non-tasty hotdog. It would have been better with sauerkraut, but they don't have it. The hamburger, on the other hand, was sublime! They cook it to get a beautiful crust on the outside that elevates it far beyond the humble hamburger. And they'll cook onions into it, which tastes terrific. The service is of the brusque, but friendly hockey player Boston-guy type. Needless to say, it's attentive, since you're always only 2 feet away (if you eat in).
