Perfect cup cakes delicious and I really love they have a sugar free cupcake for the healthy conscious! Service is great too.

Came here during Festival of Lights because I have been dying to try out the cupcakes and what a disappointment! We took the cupcakes to go and ate them at home when we got home and they were not good at all. The tallest cupcake (tree cupcake) was flipped upside down and smushed, the confetti cupcake was just OK but the vanilla one was just not good at all. I picked at that over the next day but ended up just tossing it. The confetti cupcakes out of the box are the way to go read more

I have purchased cupcakes in the past from Casey's and they were delicious. We went to Casey's last weekend and regrettably it was a disappointment in comparison. The selection of available flavors was very small and the ones we did buy were fairly dry and had a strange layer of sugar crystals under the frosting which added an unpleasant crunchy texture. We also bought some creme brûlée macarons and they were dry as well with not a lot of taste. For the expense of these items I expect much more. The service from the ladies behind the counter was fine but they didn't seem very interested in the customer. Not a memorable experience. read more

Hotel guest. No greeting what so ever from the staff member. I've read other reviews and it seems lack of greeting or rude customer service is the mandatory training here. Gnats flying in the enclosed cupcake case. Employee was put off and the vibe was not welcoming which is totally different from the hotel staff. When we left clerk asked us to close the door. I wonder if I should've offered to bake the cupcakes, clean the case or train her on why she has a job. Without the customers, there are no sales! Shouldn't be advertised in the hotel because service skills from staff are polar opposite. Won't be back. read more

Very stylized, cute little shop to visit if you are near downtown riverside! We stopped here New Years Eve at night, so stock was understandably limited. I tried the carrot cupcakes and it wasn't too sweet which is what I like. The only issue is parking so be sure to stop by of you are already in the area. read more

I'm not trying to be dismissive of other peoples reviews on this place but I can't help but wonder if people have really tried artisan deserts before. I see low scores for this establishment and definitely wonder if it's a cultural bias or feminism at it's worst. I have to say my experience was nothing short of amazing dare I say it orgasmic and that's definitely complementary from a man.lol I ordered the German chocolate cupcake and was immediately transported to my youth in the alps of Bavaria! I was back to my grandmothers kitchen and some of the best German chocolate I've ever had and Hamelin Germany had to offer. I think that's the biggest complement to any food when it can transport you or propel you to a beautiful place and time in your life and leave you truly reminiscent! I already look forward to coming back!!!! read more

Cute and inviting little shop. Although the cupcakes are pretty to look at, it was probably the worst cupcake I've ever had. The cake was dry and stale. I also ordered a pink lemonade and it tasted like flavored water. I asked the employee why and she said she could add more POWDER!!! Seriously, powdered lemonade for a fancy shop like this is ridiculous. read more

First and last time trying this place. Don't let the little pink cupcake boutique fool you by it's appearance. These were the worst cupcakes that I've tried my whole life. I would not recommend this place. If I could give it a ZERO I would of already. Cupcakes tasted old and I almost broke a tooth trying to bite the confetti cake bomb. read more

Last time I purchased here was 9 years ago. Was hoping it was still good but knew there was a chance it wouldn't be after all this time. Well I have to say I was extremely disappointed. My lemon cupcake was so dry i couldn't even finish it. I bought some water and threw the rest away. Too bad. It was pretty to look at though. read more

Casey's Cupcakes - Lemon Cupcake - Cupcakes Near Me - Riverside, California

I've been a fan of Casey's cupcakes for 10+ years so this review is long overdue. There used to be a storefront location in Orange County and I was SO bummed when it closed. I don't get to have Casey's cupcakes as often unless I find myself in the riverside area- but when I do, I'm reminded of how amazing these cupcakes are. I've tried so many types of local bakeries and Casey's remains my favorite. The confetti cupcake is my go to but all the flavors are incredibly tasty. The cupcake itself is moist and beautifully decorated. It's hard to find a cupcakes that tastes as good as it looks. The quality has remained the same throughout the years, and I'll continue to come back. Go try for yourself! Please reopen a location in Orange County!! read more

Favorite Cupcakes! They are so tasty, so yummy, moist and the shop is so cute. I miss having one close to me but today I am here for a sweet treat. I got the chocolate, strawberry, vanilla bean, sprinkle cupcake & German Chocolate sharing with the family read more

This is your standard novelty cupcakery with mediocre-tasting cupcakes and over the top packaging (which semi-justifies the heavy pricing). My husband and I stopped in for some hot chocolate and a cupcake after walking around the Festival of Lights. We were disappointed with the meager selection of cupcakes left with over an hour left until closing and they were out of hot chocolate too. There were just two employees hustling to manage the long line of customers (which was moving quite slowly for a grab-and-go type place). Overall, I think they need to improve their operations, especially during a high-traffic time at the Mission Inn. I would also recommend them offering customers if they would prefer their cupcake on a small plate or to-go (which will eliminate wasteful packaging). The cupcakes themselves were moist and had plenty of frosting (which I love). read more

During my stay at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa Casey's Cupcakes is promoted as a place to grab a yummy treat. I have never been to this place and it seemed nice, but like any place the staff can make it or break it. We walked in and said good morning to all staff and they just turned around and gave us blank stares without saying a word. The young lady boxing up our cupcakes was far too young to be that bitter looking. Not sure if she isn't a morning person or hates her life, but that shouldn't be for the customer to know or experience. Her poor attitude assured us never returning to this place again. The cupcakes itself aren't worth the trip, money spent, and let's sprinkle on poor customer service. It falls completely short of any great expectations. It's a shame too considering it's Casey's business. Not sure how many branches she has out there, but she may want to look into improving this one. It's not doing her any favors. read more

We went to see the lights at Mission Inn and I found this cupcake shop. My husband pointed out that this place won in cupcake wars. When he said that I anticipate that the cupcakes are going to be good. I love cupcakes! I quickly went and got in line. The line was very speedy with only two ladies working there. All cupcakes look scrumptious! I got the creamy carrot, and my sons got a dark chocolate and the beach boy. The carrots cupcake taste ok, kinda like store bought, the frosting wasn't so sweet which is good.the dark chocolate was too much chocolate for my son, I tasted his and it was dry and not a great flavor. the beach boy was good. We also got 3 small hot chocolate, it was too expensive knowing it was made from nestle hot chocolate (I saw when she was putting the powder to the machine). I was excited to stop by, but would not buy cupcakes there. read more

Best. Cupcakes. Period. That is all. Oh. You want more? Ok. The cake is always moist and the perfect consistency. The milk chocolate frosting is the absolute best I've ever had. This is my go to stress/comfort treat and hubby knows it's a good way to get him outta the dog house too. He likes the beach boy cupcake, white cake with a blue frosting and red gumball on top. Be sure to get stamp card to earn your free cupcake because you'll be hooked. Oh and happy 2-4-1 starts like an hour before closing I believe. Oh! And they also have cupcakes for your fur babies...along with macaroons, shakes and coffee but if you can't tell I just go for the cupcakes! read more

REALLY cute store and cute cupcakes. I will be extremely honest though, the cupcakes taste like box mix. There's nothing too special about them. It's a fun stop for a sweet treat but if you're expecting homemade taste, you won't find it here. They're always really nice in there, service is fantastic. It's just not an often occasion for me because of the taste. Completely nailed it on presentation, but that's all. read more

My daughter and I have been enjoying Casey's Cupcakes in Laguna and Irvine over the years. Now with Riverside as the only one around decided to make the drive to get cupcakes for my daughter's birthday because Casey's has always been her favorite. Was hesitant due to the reviews but took a chance. Karol was so kind and helpful and helped me decide on flavors for the small gathering and packaged 1 for my daughter confetti cupcake separately. Then put them all in a very nice bag. The cup cakes were absolutely delicious. My daughter was so thankful as it's been awhile since the stores in Laguna and Irvine have closed so she hasn't had Casey's in long while. The lemon and vanilla were also delicious. The Smore was adorable and no one wanted to eat it and ruin the little camp fire. I highly recommend Casey's Cupcakes in Riverside great customer service, going rate for specialty cup cakes, and they are so moist and yummy. Thank you Karol for your help today, my daughter appreciated it and so did I. read more

Worst service and cupcake ever. The young girls at the cashier had major attitude for one. And there were gnats in where they keep the cupcakes. I should have walked right out but I didn't. After paying, they notified us they charge extra for a bigger bag which is ridiculous. I walked out and came back to work, I opened up the cupcake box and my cupcake was pretty much falling apart. It was bagged so messy. I'm so disappointed with this place. After I took off all the frosting, I was left with what appears to be just crumbs. No actual cupcake, it was all frosting. Never going to this place ever again. read more

I'm honestly pretty surprised by the reviews snd feel like I need to leave a review because of it. We got a good sized cupcake for the price and it wasn't dry at all. Very moist. The icing was very smooth and tasty but a bit overly sweet balance-wise. I'm not a cupcake person and was still satisfied. The guy working there was really nice as well. read more

Casey's Cupcakes - Cupcakes Near Me - Riverside, California

Expensive $5 cupcakes! Are they worth it? Absolutely not! Overpriced for average quality! I can wait in line for average gourmet cupcakes. What I have a difficult time with is paying for expensive, average cupcakes that are handled unsanitary--and served with the rudest form of customer service. I was at Casey's on December 6th- I had to request that the cashier change the cupcake she had just handled with the same latex glove she held money with. She was rude about it, but ultimately changed her glove and packed a clean cupcake for me. I was going to let the above slide, but I experience aggressive rudeness at Casey's, AGAIN, on December 13th... This time, the server did not securely box my $5 cupcake....As I was removing the boxed cupcake out of the bag, the box came undone and cupcake fell over and damage the decorative frosting. I requested that the cupcake be replaced because it was boxed improperly... My intent was to gift this one particular cupcake to a friend that was looking forward to trying Casey's for the first time! Not one, but two servers aggressively-AGGRESSIVELY!!!!!!! refused to replace the $5 cupcake! This went on for several minutes-I refused to leave until it was replaced... and it eventually was! Replacing the cupcake without acting like street-fighters is customer service 101. I will Casey's one star for being the only gourmet cupcake place in the area. Only reason, I believe, keeps them in business. Experience always makes the product taste better! read more

A friend and I were at convention over the weekend and happened to stumble upon Casey's cupcakes after lunch. Walking in, the store was a girly girls dream come true. It was so bright and cheery. There was pink everywhere and it was just SO cute! The cupcakes were so beautiful and also super adorable. There was glitter sprinkled over a lot of them and my friend and I were SO excited to try them. I was bummed they didn't have any deals for buying in bulk. It was $3.75 a cupcake and some of them were $4.75. They don't have pricing on their displays which was a little inconvenient when your picking a cupcake. Our biggest disappointment though, was the cakes weren't as good as they looked or sounded. I got the red velvet cupcake. It was dry and there were huge air pockets throughout the cupcake. It also had a weird spicey taste to it while eating bites with frosting. I will say the frosting to cake ratio was almost perfect! My friend had the confetti cake which was supposed to be a vanilla cake. It was mixed with a pink cake and the yellow was so bright- more like the color of a lemon cake rather than vanilla. My friend also noted the cake was dry and just tasted like a regular box cupcake. In a nutshell, super adorable cupcake shop and the display is beautiful! Cupcakes were nothing special and we were expecting more coming from a cupcake wars competitor. read more

Still riding off the Cupcake Wars victory of years' past and a long-since departed chef who got that laurel in the Duane family crown, I suppose it's inevitable that Casey's (named after Duane's wife's daughter who has a spa named after her to boot) joins the mythology surrounding the counterfeit mission dominating downtown Riverside. A couple of years ago I would have given the place 2.5 to 3 stars max in a review, however, something evidently kick-started the company into high gear. Could it be superior competition and sitting on their laurels? You know, the euphemism for 'ass', not accolades. Where to begin? The past was uninspired overpriced (nothing changed there) dry and highly uninspired product. Presently, there are good signs the original reputation might be back on track. Money certainly bought the old boy love, but you can't buy good reviews when your product is second-rate. Waiting for the crowds to subside after the bloated spectacle known as the Festival of Lights is well advised. Thus, my recent encounter with my true love yielded two excellent cupcakes. We stopped by and found ourselves outnumbered by employees. As the only customers we were greeted in a genuine manner and to my surprise the young lady serving us offered the cupcakes to-go with ice cream. Although we had a nice home cooked dinner planned, why not? Dessert before dinner only kills two things: your appetite and waistline. The pics show the story but I conclude with yum yum, bye bye. Highly recommended to try at least once, and do accept the offer for ice cream! read more

I don't understand why change recipes that work. I came for the gluten free vegan chocolate cupcake due to allergies. The frosting is definitely different and the bread is dryer. What is worse I had an allergic reaction due to the changes. Also there were flies all over in the cupcake case. When it was mentioned to the nice young lady she said it happens all the time. Over hyped and service, meh. We had dinner at the Riverside Food Lab and walked to the Mission Inn afterwards because the Christmas lights were still up, until the end of this weekend (first weekend of January). My friend mentioned that Casey's Cupcakes was nearby and that Casey had won Cupcake Wars in 2011 (almost 10 years ago). The line was about 15 people deep and stayed that way for most of the time we were there. Truthfully, my first impression is that it would over hyped and I was right in the dot. The price of the cupcakes were to be expected, $3.75 and up but there are no prices listed with each cupcake so I am unsure which ones are more expensive. The batter was dry, from the two cupcakes that I tried, and the frosting barely helped keep each bite moist. I am not sure how she won the competition, or the others just were even drier. A scary thought... Cupcake stores around my area are so much better, moist and flavorful without the overpowering sweetness of the frosting. The service was also meh, only one person sorting the cupcakes and one person at the cashier. We asked for two separate bags because my friend bought me a cupcake and I do not live with them so it made sense to have separate bags, especially as we were strolling around the area and it would be easier to hold. The cashier wasn't all that happy that we asked for separate bags. Get your sweet fix somewhere else and save money... read more

Made a quick stop tonight as we were visiting The Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn. We purchased two cupcakes: German Chocolate & Milk Chocolate. The vanilla cake for the milk chocolate cupcake was moist and tasty however, my dtr stated the frosting tasted like Playdoh. Casey's Cupcakes - Receipt - Cupcakes Near Me - Riverside, California

My experience/purchase should have been very quick and easy but unfortunately it wasn't. I purchased only 1 cupcake and paid. After paying I noticed I was charged a $1 for a bag. I asked why I was charged for a bag and she responded "because bags are a $1" I replied with "I ordered a cupcake not a bag" she then realized she missed up and said she wouldn't be able to refund me because there was no manager in the store?? I decided to walk out due to it only being a dollar and it was clearly not going anywhere. I ended up at this cute little cupcake shop cause I was at Mission Inn for the Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights literally led you to the front of their doorsteps. The cupcake shop is super adorable. Since I went on the last day of the new year, I decided I can enjoy one last, over the top, sweet before the new year. I decided my last 2017 cupcake would be the crownie. The crownie has a bottom layer of brownie and the second layer of vanilla bean cake. The cupcake is also topped with milk chocolate frosting. Yes, this cupcake was super rich. My last cupcake was not just a cupcake, it was a cupcake topped with soft serve ice cream. Who wouldn't love ice cream and cupcake together???!!! Of course, I couldn't say no. In the end, I thought the cupcake was okay. I didn't really enjoy the frosting too much and I didn't taste anything too different from all the other cupcake's places. However, the winner here for me was the soft serve ice cream. I just couldn't get enough of it. It was some good ice cream. Next time, I would skip the cupcake and go straight for the ice cream. read more

Having the need for a sweet treat and reward after the Mission Inn Run, I decided to give Casey's Cupcakes a try. I had a coffee/mocha Halloween themed cupcake. It was okay and maybe the other regular offerings might have been a better choice. The cupcake was a bit dry and the huge amount of frosting had little flavor. I think the cupcake's cost could be substantially reduced if less packaging. Just wanting a cupcake to eat outside, the small box and fancy bag was unnecessary. Perhaps a dollar discount could be offered for customers not wanting the fancy box and bag. I felt wasteful throwing it away when done. More importantly, it would have been nice to have had a fork, since the frosting to cake ratio is 3:1 and eating with fingers made me feel messy. The staff said if no forks on the nearby counter, they were out. No thanks for checking with a more certain answer. It seemed they were bothered. I'm glad I was not on a date for an after meal snack and trying to impress someone. read more
