I scheduled an alignment after texting with someone who quoted $120/hr and said it would take about…read morean hour, even for lowered cars with specific specs. No extra fees were mentioned. I arrived a few minutes before my 10am appointment, and they didn't finish until 12:30pm. As soon as I mentioned my car was lowered, they brought up extra charges for camber adjustment. It would've been helpful to know about the added fees before I showed up and took time off work. One hour and 30 minutes in, they said the rear was done and asked if I still wanted to do the front. Of course I did though I guess I appreciated that they at least asked. About 30 minutes later, they said they couldn't raise the front camber above -1.2. I explained my car has adjustable bolts, but he insisted it wouldn't adjust and seemed to try to entice an argument, saying I was giving him an attitude when I was being respectful and simply explaining. I said fine can you please just set toe to zero. When they finished they casually mentioned they shaved the bolt slot to gain more adjustment without asking and without ever telling me they found a solution after the earlier argument. Even then, the camber was still off by what I asked and the toe wasn't set to zero. When I brought it up, they said the numbers fluctuate. I understand alignment numbers can shift slightly, but I believe if they had taken the time and care, they could've met the specs I asked for. There was also a caster imbalance--6.5 left, 5.0 right. I pointed it out, but they said it was fine. After driving, I now feel pulling and odd steering, which after researching, caster differences can cause. To be fair, the guy at the desk was friendly to all customers while I was there, and they were very responsive by text. But that surface level professionalism didn't match the quality of the work. They also couldn't print my alignment sheet due to an outage and only sent photos. On top of that, I had to drive back after realizing they left their magnetic sign on my trunk. They only charged me for one hour, which I appreciated but overall, the lack of upfront communication, unauthorized work, and incomplete results left me disappointed. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend them if your car needs precise alignment.

After finishing with my oil change, he told me there were 6 things that needed to be fixed. One of them was a filter replacement for a $145.00. If you think I'm kidding, I'll post the pictures. I took my car to my regular mechanic who is my friend. All of those things that he said that I needed, don't need to be done until I hit 50,000 miles. My car only has 30 430 miles. I'm not sure if he thought that he could take advantage of me because I was a woman. My mechanic also laughed at the prices & said they were outrageous. They don't even charge labor to replace the filters. Ps I can buy the filters & replace them myself. I'll have to say I will never come back to this place ever again. This is in response to the owner's response. Even if that was the case there are 3 other services that you wanted to charge me for that were also not needed. Also, no response to a $145 charge for a filter replacement, which is ridiculous. The way this economy is now and everything is already outrageously expensive due to this administration. You need to stop taking advantage of people. Andrea, we recommend servicing CVT transmission fluid every 30K miles because they fail quite often and sometimes with very low miles; Jason did a wonderful job educating and communicating this. Even if your friend doesn't agree, have it performed anyway :) We wish you the best and hope you find a shop that better aligns with you.

Have brought two vehicles here in last several months and first positive impression reinforced and validated with the second. The process is straightforward, no effort to "upsell" quality tires to choose from and quick work. In fact, they finished my car a full hour before they said it would be done, which, again, is not the usual experience with auto shops. Highly recommend! JohnG

Great, kind, quick service with a dangerous and crucial mistake…read more I'll break this review into two parts. The first part will be about my experience getting serviced by Clarendon Tire, and the second part will be about what resulted. Service experience itself was great. I had noticed a slow leak in my top left tire this past week. At first, I thought it could wait for my regular mechanic to see, but I decided to get it checked ASAP at Clarendon Tire. If it was a nail, maybe it could be patched. I called ahead of time in the morning, and the woman on the phone let me know to bring it by that day before 4, or else maybe it would be too busy. Sure enough, I show up at 3:45, it's getting busy, but they make an effort to take my car in immediately. The mechanic gets to work checking the tire, and the woman behind the desk lets me know a patch fix takes about 40 min and $60, reasonable to me. I go to the bathroom, and by the time I'm out, they flag me down and show me my wheel--no nail, but in fact a small crack near the edge on the inside of the wheel. I really appreciate that they worked so quickly and saved me from preemptively buying a new tire for a non-tire problem. They gave me good suggestions for nearby places that could fix the wheel if I didn't want to replace, and they didn't charge me for their service. I gave the mechanic a $40 tip for his quick and helpful work, and he offered to fill my tire air up before getting going. Overall, very positive experience, and I would have happily returned any time I had tire trouble. 5 star visit, so why the 2 stars overall? Didn't drive for a couple days after, but before I left for work, I went to check my tire pressure to see how much I should fill up to for the day. My tire pressure was more than 60psi. The tire mechanic filled my front left tire up to more than 60psi. Most consumer vehicle tires are rated for around 30psi. My tire pressure meter only goes up to 60, but it stayed at 60 for a while when I was letting air out of the tire. This is insanely high, and dangerous to drive on--my friends exclaimed they're surprised my tire didn't pop on my way home. I would hope that tire mechanics would know the right psi range to fill up a front tire. Instead, I think he filled it up as high as possible or kind of without looking, and it could have caused a really dangerous accident, and cost me a lot of money. The psi is clearly marked in the driver-side door, and I'll need for this place to read that number before filling up tires. Until then, I will not be taking my car here again out of precaution.
