I've gotten my VA state inspection here twice. It's super fast, but the interior waiting area is a little cramped in the convenience store section of the gas station. You pull up and they come snag your car. Once that happens you're out of there in under 15.

Needed a tire patch repair and they were able to do it same deal at the end of the day. Very convenient and efficient.

Locally owned Great Falls service station. Friendly staff, knowledgeable mechanics, and reasonable prices. Modern, exotic or antique cars.

I bought high-quality full synthetic oil and a premium filter and started calling around to see if any shops would let me bring my own parts. Many places wouldn't allow it at all, and some that did still charged over $100 just for labor. That's where Manjit at Sunoco came in. I called a day ahead and was told to come in early--which worked perfectly. This was actually my second visit to this location (the first was for a tire puncture), and once again, the experience was great. Manjit and the team were friendly, professional, and efficient. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and I was able to get to work with time to spare. What stood out most was their willingness to accommodate and the level of service they provided. I'll definitely be coming back for future maintenance--and will check with them before heading to a dealership.

This used to be a great place but with this new inspector, I'll never be back. He needs to go back to school and learn more about cars.

It's a review of a gas station! Clearly, gas stations are on every Yelper's mind, right? I know,…read morebut I write this review for good reason. This gas station has something rarely seen at other stations and retail: employees who care. Employees who make me WANT to come back. I've been tanking up at this station a little over 5 years, and the employees have consistently impressed. They're polite, eager to help. If there's a sale going on the employees will try to alert you to it in effort to save you money. Not to be obnoxious, but to genuinely try to help you save a few bucks. I can't stand retail stores where the employees try to push you into buying products, but here they do it to save you money. And that? That I like. So yeah. I'm definitely a fan of this lil' station. They've saved me quite a bit of money over the years, gotten a lot of good deals and the employees are solely to thank.

In nearly every visit, my experience at the store has been pleasant and the staff professional -- with the exception of two troubling encounters, both involving the same employee (a woman who wears glasses). The first incident occurred during a car wash purchase. I presented my rewards card at the time of purchase, but she failed to scan it. When I pointed this out, she told me I should have mentioned that I had a rewards card -- despite the fact that I had done exactly that. Rather than argue, I let it go and assumed it was a one-time lapse. The second incident, which prompted this complaint, was far more concerning. I went into the store to have a lottery ticket checked. As I was walking around trying to locate the ticket-scanning machine, I noticed her watching me. Unable to find it, I approached her and asked if she could scan the ticket for me. She took the ticket and walked to the machine located beside the cash counter, and I moved to the customer side of that same counter -- not behind it, not into any staff-only area -- simply to be able to see that she was scanning my actual ticket and not someone else's. At no point did I step into the area reserved for cashiers or staff. After scanning it, she informed me the ticket was not a winner, and then told me that next time I should not walk up to the side of the machine she was using. I explained, politely, that I had done so only to confirm she was scanning my ticket, since I don't personally know her. I also suggested that if the store didn't want customers standing near that area, they should consider putting up a sign to make that clear. Her response was to sarcastically claim that I would apparently follow her "to the back of the store" -- a clear exaggeration of what had actually happened. I calmly reiterated my reasoning once more, and she ended the exchange with a sarcastic "have a nice day." My brother-in-law was present for the entire interaction and witnessed her behavior firsthand. He, too, was confused as to why she responded so rudely when I had remained calm and courteous throughout. I have no doubt the store's CCTV footage would confirm that I never crossed into any staff-only area and that my conduct was reasonable and respectful from start to finish. This kind of treatment is disappointing and out of step with the otherwise excellent service I've received from the rest of the staff at this location. It's unfortunate that one employee's repeated rudeness can overshadow the genuine effort the rest of the team puts into providing good customer service. Given that there are several other gas stations in the area offering a more pleasant experience, I don't see a reason to continue coming back to this one. I'm writing this in the hope that the owner or management takes customer service concerns seriously and addresses this pattern of behavior -- though I admit I'm uncertain whether this feedback will lead to any real action.

Advice: have a dealership telling you that you need thousands in car fixes? Come here before you…read moresign off. Due to a Honda recall, I dropped my car off across the street at the Honda dealership. I received a call saying my timing belt was rotted, I had multiple oils leaks, water pump problems, and more! All totaling about $2,900. I promptly called Schmitz's on the recommendation of a coworker and explained the situation. Al assured me that I could bring it by when Honda was done and he would review the quote and give me an honest answer on what my car actually needed. Later that afternoon, I dropped my car off and went over the list with Al. He went out with me to take a look under the hood, kindly showing me that my car doesn't even have a timing belt! The serpentine belt and timing chain were clearly fine. I went back to work and got a call about an hour later with a recommendation on two things to fix now and a couple to keep an eye out on over the next two years. It was fixed by the end of the day. He could have taken Honda's quote and said yep that is all true and charged me just a little less. But instead Al took the time to show and explain, thoroughly "diagnose" my car, and handle it all in a couple of hours. By the way, it cost me less than $500. I will 100% be back when my car needs it.

At first I was thrilled as the service manager was nice enough and I enjoyed going there. -This past weekend it changed dramatically and NOPE will never go back. Backstory- called roughly 2 weeks ago because my car needed some items done. We agreed that because the parking lot is small, I'd swing the car over to have them look at it so they could order the parts Saturday- stopped in and someone I've never seen before essentially refused to look at my broken mirror. Saying "well I can tell you now you need a new mirror" ironic considering he hadn't step foot from behind the counter. As he was "too busy" LUCKILY A SHOP WASNT "TOO BUSY"- walked out of there vowing to never go back and called another shop in Falls Church. The gentleman said "bring it on by. Happy to look at it" went to that shop and the nice guy not only looked at it but showed me the parts online to order (spoiler I don't need a new mirror) so I could save money from buying through a dealer. He then went as far as to remove the hanging pieces so they wouldn't damage the paint In conclusion- Schmitz managed to lose out on a broken mirror (purchase and replacement) fixing the cable for the gas tank, oil change, emissions and state inspection, and a car wash all because the guy "was too busy" I suggest finding other places that value customers
