I have been taking my cars here for years and have always gotten good honest work done. They won't rip you off and do the work right.

Sandy, it's interesting that you think I am the only unhappy customer, not true. There are other 1 star reviews due to your "arrogant, and dismissive owner," written in the other 1 star reviews. Sadly, you missed the following facts: 1) you had my car for 3 weeks with an appointment already scheduled; 2) my husband called to get the final cost for the repairs and agreed; 3) the owner told my husband, "I don't feel like working on your car anymore come get it." 4) He cursed at my husband who was a returning customer, after having serviced our Mercedes SUV several times. I wish I could tell my customers I don't want to work on their problem anymore, if I did I would be fired! We could have taken it to a dealer but, sadly after servicing our other Mercedes my husband wanted you all to get the business. Won't happen again. You lost us as well as the other paying customers who wrote bad reviews. Maybe you need to stop overbooking, just a thought. read more

Overall this place is great. They are honest and their pricing is reasonable. They talk through issues so you don't feel like you get caught off guard at the last minute. They're relatively easy to get a time slot with, but you might have to wait a day or two depending on the scope of the work you need done. I've been very happy with them through my multiple experience. The only thing I am disappointed about is they aren't open on weekends. In this region so many people work Monday through Friday, they're missing a huge opportunity for weekend business. I've had to take my car to the dealer for a basic oil change just because they were open. I'd much rather take my business to Great Falls Auto. read more

Props to the gentleman for listening to my problem and fixing it without objection and not trying to tell me something more expensive was wrong. I'm less pleased at being upsold so hard on little things and not entirely convinced about the labor times, but they did a solid job. It's unfortunate that I have to report that I believe the positive reviews below were bought and paid for. I have four cars and I am constantly using the services of the shops in the area. I read he reviews below and carefully approached this shop with a pristine car that needed a ge simple things done. Mount a couple of tires and give the car an alignment. I asked for their pricing in advance and agreed to the tires and alignment cost. Upon checking in they informed me that they needed to replace some parts which had already recently been replaced and that it would be 1300. I had had the same work done for 400 up the road. When I turned down the work I suddenly was given a new cost for evaluating the car and that the alignment would not be possible. So now I have two tires mounted and an evaluation, my bill is 295 dollars. Everyone knows tire mounting is 25 to 30 but they charge 50 per tire. The balance was a series of trumped up charges to get to the 295. When I asked about the upsurd cost considering that no other work was completed...the service manager went bully on me and told me he didn't want to deal with me. Too bad as all I wanted is a place that gives a square deal where I can drop my cars, but I will never ever stop in here agai U read more

I was in search of a quality, honest, and reliable mechanic a few years ago when I first stopped by. I was referred to Great Falls Auto Service by multiple family friends who take a variety of cars here for service. Year after year, this place takes after my car. The only downside is there is not much of a waiting area, but with the quality and honest service, it is well worth that one downside. read more

I took my vehicle there for a basic oil change. They conducted the oil change very quickly, but did not call to let me know it was done. The big shock was when I picked up my car -- they charged me over $90 for a basic oil change. Great Falls Auto Service used synthetic oil without asking prior to the service. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about this repair shop! Stefan and his team are very professional, their prices are reasonable and the customer service is fantastic.. I can tell Stefan is extremely knowledgeable, and he has been an absolute god send in working out some kinks in my Mercedes SL.. Not an easy car to work on, it's a car with some very complex systems through out.. I'm so glad I found this place and I would highly, highly recommend taking your vehicle there for everything from extensive repair to preventative maintenance.. Without a doubt, Great Falls Auto is the best shop around. The mechanics are excellent. Both the mechanics and the service managers have always taken the time to clearly explain what the issues are. I have always brought my Grand Cherokee and Range Rover to them for routine service and other issues that have come up. Range Rovers are infamous for mechanical/electrical bugs. Prior to discovering GF Auto I had taken my Rover to the dealer a few times (they always seem to find phantom issues) it cost me a king's ransom. Just a few weeks ago I brought my Rover to GF because I had warning light on dash that I was unsuccessful in diagnosing and I was ready for an oil change. They explained that my Tire Pressure Monitor had malfunctioned and they easily were able to reset it. I was charged only for my routine oil change. When find a high quality mechanic shop that is trustworthy and honest...I have no reason to go anywhere else. read more

This was a great find start to finish. They offer early hours very convenient to having to be at work early. Additionally, Rich took my car in right away on a Monday morning without an appointment. He explained to me the high estimate and the low estimate and said he would do what he could to get the lower one. In the end, his crew was able to do the work for even LESS than the lower estimate -- by a LOT less! I am so grateful for the honesty and professionalism that I experienced as I am sure that many shops look only to make the most money from people. I have lived here for twenty years. I have taken my MB cars to Stephan and am confident he has taken care of them like his own at a great price. It's just another gem of Great Falls. He also took care of my daughters BMW before she moved away. Anyway, it is so nice to trust your mechanics to such a nice local family. My son has my CLK, I totaled my E 500 wagon on the pike near Polo, where the sun hits your eyes, and my E coupe is ticking like brand new. I love this place. I have a 2000 Mercedes Benz Kompressor SLK 230. It is a weekend vehicle on nice days to drive with the top down. Last week, it would not start. Installed a new battery and nothing. Consulted with all the usual suspects who will go unnamed and the telephone diagnosis was fuel pump, or injector or... You get the drift. $1,500.00-$2,500.00 is what I was told. Had the car towed to Sunset Hills Automotive whom I trust implicitly and after 3 days, they to were stumped and recommended Stephan at Great Falls Auto Service. One more tow and the car ended up in Stephan's hand. Chuck was the person I dealt with on the phone and he was great. 24 hours later I got the call that I was dreading. And much to my surprise, Chuck said that Stephan had ordered a sensor for the vehicle without even opening the hood. And once Stephan installed it, the car turned over. So I asked, how much will this set me back. $125.00. A far cry from what others had said or quoted. These folks are a keeper. If you have any issues with cars, this' the place to go. The Mercedes vehicles will not be serviced any place else going forward. Well done guys!! read more

Total rip off - Had a single strut replacement for over $1200.00, and it has been leaking air all the time (returned twice for repair and still leaking). Then they asked for another $700 for fixing it again. read more
