Had a phenomenal dining experience, here. Honestly, this was our second choice for dinner and couldn't get into our first. Which was for the best. I had the special, lobster fra diavolo spaghetti, it was so good. My wife had the lobster ravioli. The restaurant was very intimate, read small, which was nice, service was excellent. read more

Appetizer burrata was good, but wished was not just lettuce but say arugula or something to partner better with the burrata stronger taste. Pappardella bolognese, and lobster ravioli were very nice. The star surprisingly was the chicken parm. Just One bite sold me. Then everyone sampled it and all aligned it was the hit. Really really perfectly cooked, it is easily in top 5 of this dish I and others have had in our lives. My son lamented not ordering it.... Note my picture may not do it justice. read more

We had a reservation for 7 pm on a Thursday and got seated pretty quickly after arriving. It was busy yet food and service was timely. We shared a salad, had lobster ravioli and tagliatelle bolognese. Everything was tasty. Small cozy place so get to know your neighbor-style eating experience. All was good. read more

Let me explain - first, I'm on vacay in one of the oldest cities in the country and in Italy town, so it goes to say my expectations are high. I'm expecting to forsake my Italian foods back home, but I must say that didn't happen. Food was pretty basic. First of all, the staff was friendly so they get 4 stars (but, we don't go to restaurants to greet, we go to eat ). Overall, establishment was pretty classy and set the tone well for a date night (also pocket-sized so attention was great). Glasses had a little residue (hard water, lime deposit)? The Moscato was a bit on the dry side (which was for my girl, who loves moscato and made me drink it - not a moscato person :D). Bread was cold and very simple sourdough. The mint in the pasta was a little overbearing. Pasta wasn't as al dente as I would have expected for being fresh, homemade. I know they take great pride in their work, so kuddos on being fresh! Chicken parmigiana had a large amount of cartilage, which is super unfortunate because it was starting to be tasty. Eggplant parm was a little on the "weak" side from a flavor perspective. The sauce helped but I would not focus on just the sauce being center stage. Oh...also, my parm looked like it had 2 mozzarella squares on top - a lot of cheese. The Ceaser salad was actually the best part of the dinner, but $16 for a salad is a bit much... Overall, food was not horrible (at the very least, basic) but I would not return when back in Boston. Just my opinion and based on my first-hand experience. Another night, another meal could have brought a different review - this is the review for my night tonight. Thanks! read more

So we had the opportunity to try this place the service was phenomenal and they ended up seating us pretty quick even during a busy Saturday evening. I'm giving it three stars more for the food. I didn't really enjoy my dish. It was not so flavorful compared to other Italian dishes I've had that are the same dish, like it was lacking some of the meat that needed to be in the sauce my wife got lasagna Bolognese, which OK it was missing meat sauce between the layers. It seemed like it was just noodle cheese, noodle cheese, noodle cheese, noodle cheese, and the meat sauce on top so the times that I've had, there goes noodle cheese sauce, noodle cheese sauce, noodle cheese sauce, sauce on top you know and then cheese, but it wasn't like that so it was a little dry in the sense and lacking some of the sauce service I would say was four stars they sat right away was quick check came out quick didn't feel rushed overall great experience read more

This place is among so many that look the same. They have the same small space, tables right next to each other, basically the same menu with minor variations, basically the same prices, and similar ratings. I went with my new boss, I will admit to trying to impress her with my ability to pick a good place. Choosing which one to go to was not easy, I think I nailed it. She had the special, a branzino with a fish sauce risotto. I had the shrimp risotto. They were both amazing. The risottos were different and both delicious. The service was prompt, informative, and speedy without making us feel rushed. It was a squeeze to get it the table (I am a bit of a big girl) but once we were there and seated, it felt like just the right amount of room. I would recommend going here. I can't speak to the other places. All I can say is you won't go wrong here. read more

Had lunch at Casarecce. The service was impeccable. The sever was very friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu. I had the Cesar salad to start and the porcini mushroom ravioli for my entree. The sauce on the ravioli was incredible. Everything is made in house including all the pasta. I would give 10 stars if that was an option. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back next time I'm in Boston. If going for dinner make a reservation. The restaurant is cute and inviting but only has a few tables. Great find! read more

Came to the North End to eat, but everything was crowded. Everything except here. And, looking back, I have no idea why it was the only one that wasn't crowded. This place was AWESOME. By a long shot, this was the best Italian restaurant in the known universe, and possibly the unknown, although we can't say for sure because we don't know what's out there. I've never been to Italy, but my wife has, and she said the atmosphere was just like Italy, so good job in that regard. The food was exquisite as well. Personally, I'm so happy everywhere else was crowded, because then I wouldn't get the pleasure to eat here. And honestly, everyone from those oter restaurants need to move here. It's that good!!! I LOVE IT!!! Definitely plan to return. read more

Service was not what we expected. We arrived at 6:10 for a 6:30 reservation and they hesitantly sat us because we were early. The restaurant only had 2 other tables at the time. As we waited to get service, 2 other groups came jn and asked if they could be seated and they did not have reservations. The 2 other tables were served drinks and appetizers before we were even able to place our order. My husband and I were shocked. Once we ordered and food arrived, it was good. Not the knock your socks off good we expected though. We were in town visiting and If we come back to Boston, we will try another Italian restaurant on the block. read more

We stopped in for lunchtime after another nearby spot was sold out. The place was fairly empty so they easily accommodated our party of 9. The restaurant was hot as it was mostly just outside air with a small wall A/C. Service was okay but of the 9 water glasses, two were dirty. Most of shared and the entire bill came out to ~$320, which was okay. The food was very good however, along with the drinks. Be forewarned, a soft drink costs $6+. read more

Amazing. Price was great and the food was even better. Can't go wrong. Give it a try. Veal was plentiful and very tasty.

This is a place you'll pass by every time you head to the north end as it's close to the beginning of north end and not realize you passed an AWESOME italian restaurant. First - their pasta is home made. Their calamari was made perfectly not over cooked. Their white clam was tasteful . We had the lasagna and the fruiti de mare which had plenty of seafood. Customer service was very good and never did we have to ask for water as they were very attentive to all customers needs. They do not have a lot of reviews which is probably because they opened 2019 and of course a lot of people do not take the time Give this restaurant a chance and it'll compete with all the other restaurants of equal rating if not better . read more

First time in Boston and stumbled on this gem! Not only was the service first rate, thank you Joshua, but the food was outstanding! My veal parm was the best I have had in decades. Small, quaint, reasonably priced and large portions just added to the overall experience. I can't say enough great things about this place! Definitely will return next time we are in Boston!!! PS...I hardly ever leave reviews, good or bad, but writing this in the car as soon as we left. read more

Worst spaghetti and clams I've ever had in my life. It was some how tasteless, it didn't even taste salty or garlicy AT ALL! I should have sent it back because the price was abominable! Good stuff.....I'd go back but expensive. 3 meatball appetizer & Chicken Parm appetizer were $15. My son loved the Chicken Parm appetizer and I thought the meatball appetizer was good.... not great. The garlic bread with the Meatball appetizer was very tasty. My wife enjoyed her; mozzarella, basil tomato appetizer. My wife's Gnocchi was the best she has ever had. My veal parm was good and my son had the fettuccine Alfredo which he enjoyed. Service was very good. Plus the outdoor seating on this perfect summer day in Boston was a huge win. Overall I would comeback but just know it's a little on the expensive side.... $165 + tip for 3 people with 4 total drinks.... 2 beers/2 wines. read more

A bit shocked by all the positive reviews... did we all eat the same food here? First off, let me start by saying that the service was excellent - no complaints there. However the food... meatballs were ok, ravioli was just ok (muted flavor in my opinion, but the lobster rav was at least better than the mushroom), and cannoli might have been the only slightly better thing on the menu. The price that this came out to... not worth it, regretted eating here and spending on what was just a very very mediocre (if I'm being generous) palate experience. read more

Dined here back in Feb during the arctic blast we had and still this restaurant was jam packed! We were a little early for our reservation but they were able to sit us almost immediately. Drinks: I had a Cosmo and my boyfriend had the espresso (unfortunately didn't snap a picture) both delicious highly recommend the espresso. Went there with my boyfriend, we just wanted to have an appetizer and some drinks. After our drinks were brought out, my boyfriend tried to order an appetizer, but the staff told us we had to order entrées or leave. No one mentioned this rule when we walked in, and it wasn't written anywhere on the menu. We asked if we could at least finish our drinks before leaving. The waiter said that was fine and told us the table would be available for another 30 minutes. But about 15 minutes later, he came back and said, "We need the table right now." I said no problem and asked if there was somewhere else I could go to finish my drink. He replied, "Yes, in the back." I assumed he meant there was another seating area, but, to my surprise, there was nothing back there. Apparently, he expected me to stand and finish my drink, which is absurd for a restaurant Thus, only 1 star for the customer service read more

Brought my in laws to Casadecce who work in the wine business in Napa. They saw their wines on the wall and were excited about that-- +1. Great wine selections! Small but beautiful restaraunt, love the small personal feel and the service was wonderful. Felt attended and was so helpful! We got the shrimp scampi, chicken parmigiana and forgot the other. All was delicious! Loved the peppers in the scampi. Chicken parm was nice and crispy. 10/10 experience, can't wait to come back! read more

We have been to this restaurant twice now. The atmosphere is great. Very mom and pop in a good way. Service is excellent. And the food is amazing. This is what we have ordered: 1. Meatball app - 9/10, red sauce is amazing. Just wish you got more than 3 small meatballs for the price. 2. Cesar salad - 9/10 3. Carbonara - 6/10, this was not a carbonara at all. So as a carbonara, its a 6/10 dish. But as just a regular cream sauce pasta dish, it was tasty. 4. Lasagna - 10/10, delicious! Must order! 5. Gnocchi pesto - 9/10, pesto sauce is awesome. Make sure to ask for more bread to use the sauce as a dip. YUM! Overall, we love this place. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is I feel like the price is a little high for the portion sizes you are getting. read more

We sat to eat at 3:00pm for a late lunch. We sat at the open windows on a beautiful sunny day. Perfect. Fried calamari was cooked well, not chewy, would have liked the lemon to be fresh and not fried. The pasta was al dente and fresh. The sauce was great for a hot day, light and flavorful. Casarecce had the best Italian food we have had since we were in Italy! Little Italy in Boston has so many options for a nice dinner that it was just by luck we decided to eat here. We were sat immediately by a window seat and greeted with water and fresh bread before we even had our coats off. The whole place is no more than 10 tables and so the servers can spend extra time walking you through the menu and helping you choose a wine pairing. Our waiter was also very funny and personable. They played Italian music and had wine racks all over with very interesting labels to look at. The food was delicious! Everything came out hot and quickly. The portion sizes were quite large and we still tried to eat slow to savor every bite! Dishes usually range between $20-$30 but the meal you are going to have here is well worth that price! read more

The Amalfi veal was OVER THE TOP delish!!! You can certainly tell that they make the pasta fresh. The garlic in the dish put it over the edge. Mushroom ravioli was also great. I'd give zero stars if possible. The servers continued to place food at improper tables, once we had to bring it to the attention, food was then brought back to the kitchen. As if we were to assume that we were about to receive a fresh new order.. (shady) All 3 entrees were a disaster. Lasagna was re heated after some one had already sent it back, then was given to us. Lobster ravioli was hardly mid with the filling being dryer then the so called bruschetta bread. The chicken parm would have been better from an Olive Garden. Your red sauce has zero flavor, defend your fresh rolled pasta all you want. You can have fresh pasta and kill it with your bland sauce. Oh and did I mention we returned all three entrees, and was forced to pay half the bill anyhow. Do not waste your money. Take it to another place (The Daily Catch) read more

This is the best Italian restaurant in the north end. The gnocchi is phenomenal with its pesto sauce and the chicken risotto was so flavorful and creamy. All the wines are super tasty. Meh. The lasagna is a big block of pasta and cheese. It's ok tasting but it's nothing to rave about. Less is always more when it comes to a great lasagna. Nice ambiance, cute decor. However, tables are 6 inches apart -- hope you're comfortable being close to strangers while dining. Bread was great! Unfortunately, the spaghetti and meatballs were extremely underwhelming (bland) and the chicken parm followed suit. Also overpriced -- over 80$ for 2 entrees and 1 wine, you could get better at any other restaurant on the street. To add insult to injury, our server couldn't be more disinterested in his job... plus it's a little awkward to watch him sitting on his phone in the dining room. I honestly think this place is a tourist trap given its quality and location. Would not recommend. read more
