pretty good experience! paid street parking or nearby garages. [[HIGHLIGHT]]the place is pretty small, casual, and "no frills".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]there is a small indoor dining room and uncovered outdoor area with tables and benches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] service was a little slow (sunday night dinner) but nothing outrageous. delicious margaritas, tasty chips, and awesome fajitas!! fajitas enough for 2 meals. they gave free vanilla ice cream with sprinkles for birthday.

Good solids Mexican food. Idk if it's authentic but it looked and tasted like it was. Ask for the habanero hot sauce. Tacos come with ample fillings, even the veggie ones. Food tastes fresh, tortillas feel and taste authentic. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is a bit more casual which is awesome; it's not gringos which is a bit "fancier" but the food is as good if not better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Churros are definitely the way to end your meal here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the food, service and the outdoor ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had the Oaxaca Old Fashioned and the Peach Margarita. Plus lotsa tacos: lengua (tongue), carne asada, cactus leaves and birria. We will come back for sure!

At first glance, this place looks very unassuming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But they have the most adorable outdoor seating with cute colored lanterns and that was really nice! Especially with the weather![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But I'm glad we ended up going and could experience this good food! So yeah, the food was tasty. The only let down was the Mole enchiladas which were fine, but not great. Everything else though was delicious, especially the queso! That was stellar with the homemade corn tortillas!! Oh and the churros. I could have eaten the whole plate myself! The service was good until the end of the evening and we waited a solid twenty minutes to get our check and we were getting a little antsy! It was near the end of the night and they were closing up so I understand that, but otherwise service was good and she gave us recommendations that were wonderful! Overall, it was a really nice dinner and a good price.

My Valentine's Day tacos were amazing. I just love the food here! Can't go wrong with anything you try.

Casa Oaxaca is located in Bethesda - metered parking as well as garage parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a nice tented party room with heating lamps and fire pit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were attentive during the event. Food was good and the margarita was pretty good. I had a great time.

    Carnitas taco (happy hour)

I came for happy hour (only offered at the bar) and we got a few drinks and carnitas tacos. Tacos were $3 each and they were decent. Drinks were good and cheap. They give free chips and salsa. I would come back again for happy hour, if I'm in the area. Service was good and attentive.

Came on a beautiful Fr night and service took a long time...had to ask someone to get our server and then still wait. Then it was fine... Shrimp tacos were pretty good but a bit cold. Husband had mushroom tacos and said they were ok. It's a fun outdoor spot on a nice day. Margarita tasted weird...strange for a Mexican restaurant. Was very disappointed about that! Atmosphere is nice with a cute outdoor patio but food and drink were not great.

The birra tacos were good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small, but had a fun, festive atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came here for lunch on Monday and was able to get a table easily. They have more adventurous tacos such as grasshoppers and cactus. Would come back and recommend to others!

Decent modern Mexican joint. They have really nice outdoor dining area for the warmer weather. Came here for lunch and tried the Chicken Mole Tamale and Fish Taco. They start you off with chips and salsa and I couldn't get enough of the chips. I'm a huge fan of mole and tamale and was excited to try this but ended up being VERY disappointed by their Chicken Mole Tamale. As for the Fish Taco, it was delicious and ended up ordering second round. Their tacos seem to be their specialty. I would be back to try mother food and drink items. They have a nice menu items for traditional Mexican non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. I went for a late lunch and it seemed to be after the lunch rush. Both my server and the hostess were attentive and super helpful during my visit.

Service was quick and prompt, drinks were strong and good, [[HIGHLIGHT]]outside patio was nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the octopus tacos were generous with the octopus and filled with flavor! Will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu

Really enjoyed Casa Oaxaca! We made a reservation for during Bethesda's Friday night concert series. Small inside, larger outdoor patio. Music playing the whole time! It started to drizzle halfway through dinner but they have an awning that stretches across the full patio and they set it up as soon as the rain started. The complimentary chips and salsa was GREAT. The chips are thin and salty, my personal favorite. We shared the mixed ceviche - delicious! I ordered the al pastor and the pulpo taco to myself. I wish I had gotten another pulpo taco, the meat was so flavorful and tender!!! I LOVED IT and I never see octopus tacos so it was just an exciting and delicious taco altogether. Would definitely go back!

This is a great Mexican restaurant. I really liked the birria tacos. They were meaty and savory and went well with the consomme. The esquites here were good too and the margaritas were made well. They have limited indoor seating and a lot of outside seating. The service was great and I would definitely come back.

The hostess was very sweet and I got to take advantage of the nice weather and sit outside. It's taco Tuesday, so the hostess and the server both reminded me it was "buy one get one free" - a great deal! I decided to go big and try four tacos, and all of them were very good! I'm from Southern California, so usually am picky about tacos, and some of these really exceeded my expectation. Al pastor: very tender and flavorful. A teeny bit dry, but perfect with the red salsa they brought for the table. Beef birria: nice and crispy tortilla, the consommé was very fragrant and not too salty, and they were generous with the beef. As normal with birria, it's a bit heavier/oilier, so one was enough, but it's very good! Baja fish: probably one of the favs! I made the mistake of leaving it to last, so the outside of the fish was a little less crispy, but if you eat it sooner, that shouldn't be an issue. The piece of fish was very large and cooked perfectly (very flaky). The flavor was great, especially with that red salsa. Avocado tostada: generous toppings, great flavor balance, fun crunch with very soft toppings. If you've ever eaten a tostada, you know you have to approach it like I imagine people approach skittish horses: with total confidence, even if you know it'll end up as a mess on the place. Otherwise, service was very quick and friendly and they didn't come and bother me during the meal, which I love. It really filled up while I was eating, such a testament to how good this place is. I definitely can't wait to come back!

We started with the Shrimp & Mango Ceviche, which was incredibly refreshing. The combination of avocado, mango pico, jalapeño, radish, cilantro, and fresh lime juice created the perfect balance of sweet, citrusy, and just the right amount of heat. The Elote was another standout. The grilled corn topped with their signature sauce, cotija cheese, and guajillo powder was creamy, savory, and packed with flavor. It's a must-order. For tacos, I tried the Ancho Shrimp Taco, which was topped with chile-lime sauce, red cabbage, and pico de gallo. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and one of my favorites from the meal. I also had the Carne Asada Street Tacos with pico de gallo added, and they were simple, fresh, and delicious. Another favorite was the Blackened Salmon Taco. The blackened salmon paired perfectly with the jalapeño sauce, red cabbage, charred corn, and cilantro, making every bite full of flavor. I also ordered the Chicken Rice Bowl, which came with pico de gallo, charred corn, crema, and guajillo sauce. It was filling, well-seasoned, and a great option if you're looking for something other than tacos. To top it all off, I tried one of their margaritas. They offer them frozen or on the rocks, and I highly recommend the frozen version--it was refreshing and the perfect pairing with the meal. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and everything exceeded my expectations. With multiple locations throughout the DMV, Fish Taco is an easy recommendation for anyone looking for fresh tacos, great margaritas, and a casual spot that's consistently worth visiting.

I liked the fast service and the ambience was nice enough casual, but not too casual. It was a great spot to go right before the movies. Street/county garage parking.
