    Crispy chicken tacos
    Emily P.

So glad to have somewhere open up in the old Jinya location! The service was a little slow on the day that we went (but it was pretty busy and they're new!). But food was great. We had fish tacos, the crispy chicken tacos, and chips and guacamole. I also had a lychee martini and it was delicious! I wish they offered chips and salsa either on the menu or with the guac but they're operating on a really small menu for now. Excited to see this place continue to grow!

Such a cute place!! Very spacious and pretty inside. All of our food was amazing, but the coconut flan was definitely the highlight! Our server was very helpful and gave us great recommendations.

Great food! The best rib eye tacos shrimp cocktail and quesa birrias. Family restaurant

Grilled Red Snapper Adobo, black beans and white rice, mild salsa, warm corn tortillas and a classic margarita with Tajin rim

Cantina Paraiso is hands down the best Mexican food in the area. The items are fresh every time we visit. The customer service is 10/10. Also, the classic margarita with the Tajin Rim 10/10. So let me get to the best part, the Grilled Red Snapper was so fresh, marinated so well, accompanied by rice and black beans, home made corn tortillas, fresh garnishments. Just look at the photo. Shout-out to all the team at this location. We are happy to have you at The Parks at Walter Reed. Welcome to the community.

Great service and a yummy lunch! The lunch menu is a little limited for now. Excellent breakfast tacos with chorizo, eggs, and potatoes.

A couple of feedback issues from a regular: the tostadas are too hard and please bring back the short rib for the dinner entree, which was easily the best tasting item and value of any restaurant anywhere. This place is amazing. Recommend: birria, Guac (don't add the herbs), carne asada, house margaritas with tequila, enchiladas with tres moles, and the pan frances for brunch. Thank me later. Service is always great, but please provide more napkins at the start.

Great Vegan Options (4.25/5)…read more Cielo Rojo is in an awkward location, sandwiched between a firehouse and a car shop. However, their food drives many customers to their doors. My family and I were looking for a new and different Mexican place with lots of vegan options and Google search showed me Cielo Rojo. I was happy to see a dedicated vegan menu and some excellent reviews so we gave it a try. Overall we were pleased with the unique menu but thought the flavors could have been elevated. Food (1.75/2) - most of the picks we had were great but some were lacking.... Flavor. The pan y macha butter was pleasantly a great start to the evening. Though the bread could have been a little softer, the macha butter wasn't overwhelming. The queso fondito could be skipped, there wasn't anything special and in fact I wouldn't order it next time. The guacamole was fresh and herby, however, there just wasn't enough of it in one order. I wouldn't recommend ordering two even for just two people. The street corn was a hit between my kids and my wife. They loved the sweet, tangy, and spicy corn that melted in their mouths. And the tacos were great as well. However, I felt the Gorditas under delivered for sure. I was expecting a flavor punch but received more of a chewy patty on a bland sauce. But if life could be thrown on it by additional fresh herbs and flavors. Drinks (1/1) - we only tried one cocktail and ordered a Mexican cola for our dinner but what we received was good enough to show they know their drinks. My drink wasn't under spiked or unbalanced, it went smoothly. The hibiscus flavor along with the spirit was showing boldly through the syrups. I wouldn't recommend ordering love to try another cocktail next time. Service (0.75/1) - I wish I could say the service was exceptional but there were times we were waiting too long for a service member to show up. They were friendly and polite but definitely could have had more touch points with us throughout the night. We sorta felt abandoned at times. Again, nothing much to complain but something to improve upon. Decor (0.75/1) - overall, it's a welcoming spot with art pieces of their heritage. However, there were lots of dusty sellables that probably should be removed from the dining floor. It didn't mix well with a great restaurant. Not sure if they really need to sell a rack of clothing right next to where we were sitting to be honest. In the end, the food was decent, unique, and welcoming to vegetarians so we would comeback again and give other items on their menu a try. Hopefully, flavor profile can be more prominent next time.

I had dinner here recently and I enjoyed the casual nature of the spot. I've gone to their previous location, which had a fire, and I like this current location much better even if it doesn't seem as popular as before. The food remains the same. Good, but not the best mexican. Though, I was spoiled living in california previously. The tacos and dips are the winner here. The quesadillas are heavy with the thick corn meal outer coating. It's just not to my taste. Overall, it's a great spot though. If it's nice weather, this is a go-to to sit on the deck. On my visit, they didnt have a liquor license but they now have it!

Tacos - Overall quite generous portions of filler. Rajas: This was my wife's favorite by far. Al Pastor: Far and away my favorite taco. Carne Asada: Tasted great and was what we wanted. Suadero/Carnitas/Pollo: These were fine. They lacked the intense flavors of the other tacos and while none were bad, I wouldn't get them again. Shrimp: My wife did not really like this one. Passionfruit Flan: Very subtle and not too sweet. The price was great and it was larger then expected. We enjoyed this. We enioyed our dinner on the upper outside patio and the service was great. The guy who delivers the food is so cheerful and our server gave great recommendations.

The chips are perfection--very thin, crunchy, fresh, with a slight amount of salt. The salsa was tomato forward, and while I usually crave heat, I really liked the balanced flavor--so much I had two bowls! I orders the cheese enchiladas and it was massive and oh so cheesy. There were cheese pulls for days. The rice was good, I tasted the beans and they were also okay. This really hit my craving spot on, and I had a few beers on the patio because the weather and vibe were just right. My server was Eric and he was very consistent and very great. Mi Rancho's prices are reasonable, the portion sizes good, and the staff friendly and helpful. I appreciated the delicious complementary chips and salsa, and we were able to get refills. Mi Rancho is also very family-friendly-they have high chairs, an extensive kid's menu, and we saw several kids there. I got the mixed chicken and beef fajitas for my dinner. While the meat was a little tough and needed a bit more flavor, the accompaniments were good and combined with the salsa, produced great flavor. I would recommend Mi Rancho if you're looking for a family-friendly, laid-back dinner in Silver Spring.
