After noting this place had such a high overall rating on Yelp, we were really expecting good…read morethings - and since we like wine bars in general, we were excited to try Sospiro. Our first visit here was on a Tuesday night. We arrived a bit more than an hour before their posted closing time, but the place appeared to be empty. After waiting in the main bar/dining area for a few minutes with no one greeting us (though I could hear people talking back in what I believe is the kitchen) we decided to leave. We returned a few nights later after having dinner at nearby Flemings, were seated right away, given menus and we each ordered a glass of wine. After our wine was poured, we were basically forgotten about and we kind of felt like outsiders here, because most everyone at the bar and seated at 2 or 3 of the tables all seemed to know each other: The guy who'd been our server sat down at a table and ate/drank with the woman there. The guys seated at the bar grabbed glasses and served wine to women sitting at the other 2 stools, but there didn't seem to be any staff simply checking on the rest of us. The one employee who did later check in on some dining patrons was walking around with his 1/2 finished glass of wine in hand while doing so. Needless to say, our 2 visits here were both a bit odd. Service, at least for us was badly lacking, and compared to another wine bar and a few restaurants we patronize in this general area, the pours we were given here at Sospiro were a bit stingy. Sad, too, as we really enjoy good wine spots and were hoping we'd found a solid one in Sospiro. Not the case, at least in our experience.

We received great, friendly, and attentive service by Jofrey. We enjoyed the short rib tacos, oysters, meat balls, grilled olives from the happy hour menu and the mussels, beets burrata, and tiramisu tres leches from the main menu. Everything was flavorful and delicious. We also tried their Cool Breeze and Mula Naranja mocktails, but very different but refreshing. Absolutely enjoyed them. If you are in the area, do not hesitate to stop by. It's really nice place. *Tip was not automatically included on the bill and suggested tip started at 18%

It's cute, moody, but not over done so perfect for date night or girls night. All their wines are great and you can't beat the price at $9 a glass. They recently extended the happy hour from 6pm to 7pm which I'm glad!! Now the food - I have never had a bad item from here. I will forever talk about their bacon wrapped dates (not pictured). And this trip I absolutely fell in love with the spinach cheese dip. My one complaint is why does it only come with three toasties? I had to ask for more, which they gladly accommodated me - and the same with the guys next to me. But if you're bringing me a whole bowl of deliciousness, I need more than three toasties with it!!!

I'd heard about Magie for a while from friends in the natural wine scene in Orlando and had to visit while in town. There is convenient (although somewhat limited) parking just to the side of the building, and entering feels like you just entered your cool friend's house. We almost sat inside on a couple of sofas, but opted to brave the humid Miami heat on the back porch/terrace since they were playing the World Cup game on a projection screen. The back is huge and has several sitting areas, including on an elevated porch with fans, as well as couches and bistro tables set up on the pavers down below. There is foliage everywhere and you feel transported (you'd have no clue this business was on a busy road). We got a couple of bottles of wine from their fridges, along with a smattering of shareable dishes from the kitchen (ordered inside). Everything was delightful and we were loving life (again- even in the humid summer heat!). I'd definitely return and enjoy the interior next time. Love a good wine and nosh spot and this is solidly at the top of my list when visiting Miami!

I've been multiple times and it's always such a vibe. The space feels intimate and cozy while still being casual, plus they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is mostly self service. You can also build your own charcuterie and they have a few hot food options. I tried the croquetas and they were amazing! Service is pretty straightforward since it's self service, and if you order food you pick it up from the window when it's ready. Such a cute, comfortable spot that I'll continue coming back to.

"Lucky us," we thought, "now our waiter surely won't be distracted." How naive! After sitting around aimlessly, our menus finally arrived five minutes after sitting down. Our drink orders finally taken ten minutes after that, and my mother was weirdly talked down to while asking a simple question about happy hour. Despite all of that, we were still looking forward to our meal, enjoyed our tapas, and awaited our main. It never came, and as the waiter came by to ask us how everything was we told him what was missing. Apologetic he was not. Unfortunately, the food really was quite good and genuine (otherwise it would be easier to write La Taberna Giralda off completely). Its ambiance is cute, despite its harsh overhead lighting, and it's surely a nice place to take in a Flamenco show or some Spanish music. Still, if you're someone who expects or enjoys good service, I recommend you take your business elsewhere.

Now to the nitty gritty... The flavors were lacking. The Bao bun's filling was dry and lacking seasoning. The dates were ok The gyoza were so small and overcooked so they were hard and dry on the inside. The wagyu tiraditos needed a few slices of bread or crustinis- something to dip in the sauce. This was the only appetizer that had flavor. As for the good service being a tad much, plates were removed before asking and quickly. Almost felt rushed. I realllly wanted to love this place. I've only heard great things and was really looking forward to it. Been wanting to come since they opened. Could they have had a bad day, sure , but for the price, I'd expect better portions and flavors. The service was wonderful; both our server and the busser were extremely polite and attentive. However, since the server was handling all the indoor tables, it was occasionally hard to get her attention outside. A call button on the patio tables would be a great addition. As for the food, it was a mixed bag:, the gnocchi frito, the prosciutto and the Cacio Pepe was delicious and full of flavor! On the other hand, the milanese was quite bland, lacked enough arugula, and the parmesan crust was soft instead of crispy. They kindly offered a complimentary tiramisu after I shared my feedback, which was a nice touch. Overall, a lovely spot with great service, though kitchen quality and outdoor coverage could use a bit of fine tuning.

They sell bottles of wine, imported olive oils, lots of (mostly European) wines by the glass, and light bites like charcuterie, small pizzas and popcorn. We've come here a few times, our dog was welcome, staff were friendly and outgoing, offering us various tabletop games like tic-tac-toe to pass the time, and once we'd both ordered a few glasses of wine, they offered us complimentary popcorn - something they normally charge for. Wines on their "by the glass" menu average about $16 each, and most staff pour them behind the bar where they have a gauge to measure out each one. The food prep area behind the bar is quite small (which is why they don't have a large menu), but so is this little gem of a wine spot in general. It's cozy, eclectic and great for a glass of wine and a small snack, or a nightcap after having dinner elsewhere. It's good for singles at the bar, or an intimate spot for couples and smaller groups. Vinoteca seems to have found their niche, and they've filled it quite nicely. That said, I'm not sure the staff, at least the ones working on the nights we've come, have a lot of knowledge about wines or are in the position to talk at length about their various selections.
