Service and ambience was very good. The food, unfortunately, was not. I didn't have any problem with the serving size of the carnitas, as a few bites was all I wanted. Dry, cubed pieces of pork roast that were fried before serving is not very authentic carnitas. My son had the chili colorado, certainly better than the carnitas, but nothing special. LOL!!! Want to be ignored. Sit on the patio on Sunday evening. We had to go inside to get someone to take our order. Three waiters were just standing around talking. Order was incomplete. Sodas were never refilled. Had to go inside again to get someone to bring us our check or we may have still been sitting here. Praise be to Jesús, they have Carta Blanca!! Pretty decent food, not exceptional. Note to management, you shouldn't charge for extra chips or salsa. That's really cheap and you can easily recoup that money by adjusting the menu prices of your most popular items. Went there for my birthday dinner and got food poisoning. I barely made it to the gas station down the road in enough time.... we will leave it at that!!!! Chicken tacos tasted okay avocado tostada was horrible and soggy. Their ground beef had no seasoning and tasted like grease. Their complimentary salsa and chips were okay. The night left us with a $70 tab, shitty food, and an amount road side emergency that even AAA wouldn't have been able to fix! Will never go there again!!!!! read more

We were very disappointed with our order . We both had a combo plate that included 2 tacos / 1 enchilada. The ground beef and shredded beef were tasteless and very bland . We threw away most of it honestly. The chips and salsa were the only part of the meal that were worth eating. Needless to say we won't be back . Was craving an awesome big burrito. Upon entering for our first time, was not very impressed. Nobody else was in there. But that's ok, that didn't stop my husband and I. Upon sitting, noticed the dirty dingy carpet. I wanted to wash my hands before eating as we had been out and about running errands all day, so I went to the restroom. There are a couple of Casa Mexico restaurants in the area. One in Hyde Park and another in downtown Eagle. Craving some chile rellenos, enchiladas and tamales, we decided to sample this fare at the Eagle location. After giving our order we were presented with a basket of hot tortilla chips and a spicy salsa. We also ordered some bean dip. All very good! We both ordered from the Combination list. My husband had a chile relleno and chicken enchilada. I chose a chicken enchilada and pork tamale. A good chile relleno is made with a fresh poblano pepper that's been roasted, blistered, and the skin removed before stuffing. This one tasted like it came from a can---kind of briny. I enjoyed the pork tamale---tasted very homemade and fresh. Unfortunately it was served in a couple of pieces---like it slipped off the spatula! The chicken enchilada was very bland. Rice and refried beans accompanied both these dishes. Not remarkable. The service here is very efficient and friendly. Maybe we'll give it another try and select another dish. read more

Been here a few times with the family. The food itself is just so so at best. Not my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is not very flavorful and misses on many basics. The Carne asada taste like the meat was boiled and the wife's fish tacos were not very good. She only ate half of one and the plate came with three. Unfortunately, this location doesn't quite live up to the casa Mexico on Fairview. We live in eagle and pass this location to dine at the other. My biggest complaint is the chips and salsa aren't very good. The chips taste burnt here and I miss the pebble ice that the Fairview location provides. read more

Not too good. I couldnt finish my meal. Beans and rice were nasty and the chimichanga was bland. A teaspoon of sour cream and a teaspoon of guac was not enough to help the dry chimichanga. Salsa was hot but tasteless. Should have stuck with our usual place El Mariacha Loco which is worth the 10 min drive to Star. read more

When we recieved our meal all of our drinks where empty and the waiter never bothered on refilling them so i ate my entire meal with out anything to drink on top of that he never even checked back to see how the how meal was or if there was anything else he could get us to go with our meal. The chips and salsa are by far the best reason to come. We always ask for more because we know we will eat it. Their enchiladas are very good. Right when you walk in you will be promptly seated and asked for drinks , let's just say the service is very fast. Food is always hot. Been coming here for 13 years. This place has gone up and down several times over the years. It is down now, for the count. The garbage we were served had no flavor, I had beef enchiladas, she had cheese enchiladas. I used to love their rice, I got only three tablespoons, so it was hard to say whether it was good. The salsa was so frickin hot, neither of us could eat it, we asked for something milder, and it was worse! We love spicy hot food by the way. The waitress uttered no English, had trouble understanding us. I guess she just got here...... 5 kids were running wild thru the patio and the kitchen, has to be the owners brats. They should close this place, last time it was crappy, we were told the manager and his wife were divorcing, and could not work the same shift, so there was no help. We will never go back. It is/was convenient for us but the food is canned garbage. I dont think the cheese had the good quality to melt. It had to be great value cheese from walmart. read more

This place has to be one of the worst Mexican restaurants in the valley. The server couldn't tell what the specials were after reading the menu board when we asked. The chile relleno instead of being dipped in whipped egg whites and fried it was served in what can only be described as an omelet and covered in sauce to hide its poor preparation. After dining here for years I had a terrible dinner last Friday. The Chile Relleno was tough and very overcooked; the Chicken Enchilada in Mole Sauce was dry and barely sauced. I asked fortune manager and was told the new waiter (did not even know the menu) was in charge. She could care less about my satisfaction. I emailed and wrote a letter to the owner providing my name and contact number so I could pass on my comments..it's been a week with no response so they clearly don't care. First time there tonight. We were seated quickly but then waited ten minutes for our server to take our order. The food arrived fairly quickly and was prepared properly but we had to wait another six to eight minutes to get someone's attention to get us silverware/napkins. The server forgot to tell my son that his plate was very hot so when he reached to move the plate, he was burned. The food was fair and there was a small black bug in my kid's water. He's 15 so he picked it out and drank it anyway. After dinner it took another 10 minutes to get someone to bring us the check. Once we were done we tried to walk out of one of the doors but it was locked. The sign above says that the doors must remain unlocked during business hours. Won't be going back. read more
