Excellent food and table service this Thursday evening. Table side guacamole, tortilla soup are fantastic. Had the three combo birria burrito, chimichanga with chicken and a Chile relleno with beans and rice are dynamite. Plan to return for another meal. Two thumbs up!

Table side guacamole was great!

My daughter and her husband brought me here for dinner! It has a charming interior and a nice outdoor patio. My daughter and her husband enjoyed their meals. I however, didn't choose well. The tortilla soup was very strange...seemed deconstructed. They were kind and took it off the bill! The table side guacamole was the highlight of the meal!!

I've had Casa Colima on my list for a while and I'm happy I was able to give it a shot today for lunch. I tried that Colima especial to get an taste of various dishes they offer and it was all delicious! The shrimp were full of garlicky goodness and had a slight spice. The carne asada was cooled well done however was still tender and flavorful. I stoled a few bites of enchilada from my husband and might be ordering enchilada next time. The chicken had great flavor on its own and was cooked very well. Service was great and I loved the authentic Mexican ambiance. The art of their walls are beautiful to look at.

We have heard so many great thing about this place from 3 other people so decided to stop by tonight. This Mexican restaurant was such a great experience overall. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and full of beautiful, colorful paintings that really add to the atmosphere. It's a vibrant and inviting space that makes you want to stay and enjoy your time. The food was delicious. Everything was packed with flavor, and the meat was tender and cooked perfectly. You can tell a lot of care goes into the dishes. Service did take a little while at the start. We were given menus and chips and salsa when they seated up, but it did take awhile for someone to come back and take our orders and bring us waters. Once we finally ordered, the staff remained attentive and helpful throughout. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, and parking can be a little tight. That said, the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff make it worth it. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

Staff were nice and very attentive. The service was fast and the margaritas were amazing. Parking is in the plaza lot so there is plenty. Happy hour is from 3-5 for anyone interested. We did not go during happy hour. The restaurant was not packed with people so it was nice. Amazing decor!!!

Really good Mexican American food. I would not call it authentic Mexican, its more in line with Tex-Mex. Lots of things loaded with cheese! I would say the food is similar to most mexican restaurants in the suburbs in the Pacific Northwest. This space has been several restaurants over the years and all of them failed. This restaurant truly transformed the space, has great food and gave us something the area needed. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect from a mexican restaurant like this. Colorful, loud and usually very busy. This is a restaurant we frequent since the food is consistant and close by. I also think they have some of the best vegetarian options I've ever seen at a Vancouver, Mexican restaurant. Service is also spot on. They are very friendly and accurate. I do a lot of larger to go orders and they are always spot on.

Excellent food! This is a Mexican restaurant that actually has flavor & spice! We lived in CO & Mexican food was very different there. When we 1st moved here most Mexican restaurants we went to had a very different style & I'm not saying it's bad it's just very different from what we were used to. When this restaurant opened near us it was a very pleasant surprise! In addition their meats are so tender & again the flavors you taste are so delicious it's almost impossible to not eat as slowly as possible! I highly recommend trying this place out, well worth it! We love it & eat here often

In between 3-4 stars with this one. It's not really the most authentic restaurant by any means, but it's fun and good when you're craving a heavy meal. Being from San Diego I'm not really used to restaurants like this but they had some great dishes to highlight. My favorites were the fried chicharron and fresh tableside guac for appetizers. I got the combo fajitas and the shrimp was good but the chicken and steak were a bit dry. Also it was a pretty small portion for the price. Someone else got the fried tilapia which looked amazing. Not really the most mexican dish. My fiancee got the carnitas chimichanga and asked for no beans. They gave the beans so he had to ask for them to remake it. Then it also wasn't listed that the carnitas was cooked in green salsa so it wasn't really his favorite. Overall not a terrible restaurant but not super excited about anything here.

Carne Asada plate.

Atmosphere was great and the service was very good. Portions were good but a bit over priced. Food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. Recommend this place.

The best Mexican restaurant of all time! The food was spectacular and the vegetarian options were amazing and plentiful! I wish I'd taken photos! Great service and seriously everything was perfect. The ambiance is lovely with beautifully painted booths and tables and the tile work is just so pretty you feel like you're on a vacation! I can't wait to go back! Well done everyone!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service, food is yummy ! Best consistently good Mexican food in town. Now for the star on top... Martin makes the absolute best cucumber jalapeño margarita. He even packed up my garnish so I could make another when I got home !

Service is consistently great, and so is the food with many menu options. Try the enchiladas la crema.

Do I need reservations for a party of 8?

Do they have live mariachi?

I've been there bunch of times and have never seen that. There wouldn't really be a good space for it.

Is the Cantina in the open restaurant or does it have separate space?

The restaurant is divided into half by a wall with a bar area in the back

The new ownership are still in the process of updating the name on all the online review sites. Best Mexican food in Vancouver and probably the Portland Metro area as well. Fair prices, fantastic food, and lots of salsa choices. Apparently new ownership as of 2 months ago (so prob Sept 2025). We had the taco plate and the steak and chorizo burrito Both were good sized. We were looking for a place to eat close to the hospital and this will be the top choice if we need to come back! The waitress was also super helpful in deciding what to get.

Absolutely disgusting overpriced and disappointing…read more I ordered $40.00 worth of food where anywhere else this would be $25.00 The guacamole was watered down but tasted ok The chips and salsa was delicious The beans and rice were bland and lack any flavor The consommé was disgusting lacked flavor and had a bad aftertaste. The quesabirria was absolutely disgusting and looked like day old prep then tossed into the microwave making a dry and soggy pile of slop the tortilla. The correct way to make quesabirria you deep fry corn tortillas with meat and cheese the way quesabirria is supposed to be made You used a thick Gordita Tortilla prepared it yesterday shoved it into a cooler then microwave them next business day. This is completely unacceptable and shameful I am a lost for words my family also owns a Mexican restaurant we take pride in our food quality and I'll leave you the owners with this honest question where is your Mexican pride our heritage is expressed in our food and so let me ask you what happened to you? I'm ashamed that this is how you represent our people. I expect better. I won't be back until you learn how to properly show respect for our cultures food and stop making this slop it's shameful and disgusting.

This was a delivery order. The order was incorrect…read more Taquitos weren't Taquitos. Think they were flautas. One order was carne asada burrito and the other shredded beef chimichanga with no rice. Neither was labeled and they looked exactly the same. Cutting into them revealed they could have been interchangeable. Tasted the same and mostly rice, lots of tortilla, little meat. Disappointing and expensive.

What a sleeper!! Outstanding service! Our host sat us and brought us chips and salsa quickly, then within a few minutes we actually had one of the owners, Josè, come by and ask how we heard about the place and take our drink orders. He explained that this is their second location (first one is in West Linn), they don't use any MSG or frozen food, and they only have one fried dish on their menu. We ordered house margaritas and taquitos from the happy hour menu, and the molcajete. Everything was fresh and delicious! We got a 2nd round of margaritas, they make their own mix in house and they were so tasty! We went at 5pm, so they weren't super busy yet, but there were still quite a few tables filled. The place is bright and clean.

Had dinner here with family on the last night of my Washington state vacation. It was a Sunday and…read morethe place was fairly empty. We were greeted and seated immediately and given chips and salsa, which were delicious. The decor was a bit eclectic with tin birds in the windows and a huge altar toward the back of the restaurant. The colors yellow and red figured prominently throughout the restaurant. I had two crispy tacos with shredded beef and a side of rice. It was very good; not too spicy or greasy. The food portion was just right. Others in our party had potato enchiladas and some sort of mole dish, and everyone seemed to like their food. If I lived in the area I would definitely return.

Tried this place for the first time…read more Hotel receptionist said she'd never eaten here. I should have taken that as a subtle recommendation. The good: plenty of parking, plenty of seating. Spanish speaking staff. Warm chips and good salsa. Decent rice and beans. The not so good: taco shells were not made on site, seem to be from a package. The margarita was not tasty, the mix was off and the house tequila was not so good. I could only finish half of it. Being my first time, I asked for her recommendation from the hostess on what to order? Instead of rising to the occasion, she immediately said I don't eat meat then proceeded to tell me about all the high dollar meat items. lol I could not take her recommendation to heart. I went with a somewhat safe bet of two crunchy tacos. The rice and beans were decent. The shells were crispy but flavorless. The salsa and chips were decent. The chips were warm. I finished the two tacos half the margarita and left. Would I go back here again? Probably not, with so many places to eat in this area, but I had to give it a shot. I overheard the table next to me complaining about their fajitas. The gentleman said "this is just Chuck steak" and I had to laugh out loud before I left. Disclaimer. I live in San Diego and judge Mexican food for its face value. I was not impressed. But maybe be i was there on an off night?
