Service is very good especially when it comes to self check (which I use only when necessary, if I have to pack then I want a discount - I work all day, I don't need or want another job). The store is always clean. Deli counter could use a little help, waits can be a little extended. The "3" rating is focused on the prices - this location is way overpriced especially for this community. Eddie Basha would be less than pleased with this location - but that doesn't matter anymore because the family business was brought by people and investors that just don't care.

I was looking for kombucha (you'll see me mention this a lot in reviews, sorry, but it's my substitute until I get used to not drinking soda or alcohol), and I did go on a bit of a circuit before finding the location. There was none on the shelf, but an associate checked in the back and found some for me before stocking the shelf. The store is dingy in the way stores are when they're old, but it's clean. The shelves are appropriately faced and full, and the aisles are spacious. Good ambiance--lots of families shopping, and a pleasant overall community vibe. Pricey, but like other grocery chains where you're better shopping deals and having membership cards. Could use a wider selection of kombucha though. :(

If you want to find a hidden gem for some awesome Mexican food while in Maricopa AZ, you have to…read morecheck this place out. It is a traditional Mexican bodega and meat market better known as a carniceria. Everyone there is so friendly and they have all of your hard to find Mexican brand goods. The best thing is that they have a full kitchen that serves everything from tacos, burritos, nachos and even menudo on certain days. Fresh hand made tortillas that you can purchase and take home to cook when needed as well. My go to there is the mixta burrito which is a mix of pastor (pork) and carne asada. The burrito is huge and also has beans and rice inside combined with cilantro and onions. Their fresh homemade salsas are to die for! Grab an ice cold refresco from the fridge to wash it down (soda pop for all the gringos).

But that's okay because I wouldn't want us to even think about eating more of it than we did. These people clearly don't know the meaning of the word "crisp." And I don't know how you cook meat to kill it that completely. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss $30 bucks goodbye. Just wrote this in hopes that someone else will read it and be spared that experience.

I live in the town of Maricopa, just about 20 minutes from this store. When I get off work I pass…read moreby this store almost everyday, and don't want to go anywhere after I get home. I stopped by this Bashas recently to get a few things for dinner. This is a smaller store, that is very clean, & Serves the elderly community of Sun Lakes. It has a Sushi Counter, YUMMY! The deli looks nice & fresh, and the Bakery is to die for. The donuts are fresh, and VERY tasty. The buttermilk bars are my favorite. They have a good sized Liquor Department, for the size of the store itself. I also LOVE the choices in the meat department, sometimes what I want is not there but have to ask meat employee they usually get what I want, or recommend an acceptable substitute. The meat department also has HUGE variety boxes of meat for $19.99. It has 2 kinds, you can pick from the fajita meat box, or a box with 4 meats. The 2nd box contains usually ground beef, chicken quarters, pork chops, and sometimes other selections. The organic produce selections are top notch. They do not have self checkout machines, but they are not afraid to open a new register if the lines get backed up. I usually do not wait very long in line, and if I have a few items they usually let customers checkout at the service desk even with produce. I noticed all the negative reviews about this store, and wanted to share my experiences. The employees are very nice, and helpful. I have on several times noticed a front end manager several times that is excellent in customer service. I think his name is Scott, but I am not sure. He is a nice young man, he has a Mohawk haircut. Yes, looks can be deceiving, but he is a nice & friendly guy. He is always engaging with the customers, and makes sure you leave with a smile. He and other managers are not afraid to get on a cash register themselves when business dictates it. This store has a newer loyal customer, and I wanted to share my feelings. My only suggestion is this store needs covered parking like the store in Maricopa, that would be a godsend especially during the HOT summers for their elderly shoppers. I would have given this store 5 stars if they had covered parking, but 4 out of 5 is still excellent!

Was driving right past it so decided to stop in as I needed a couple of quick things. One was a head of cauliflower. I nearly fainted when I paid for my groceries. One head of cauliflower was $6.57!! $2.64 a pound. I decided to pull out my app after I got home and look up the pricing at the other two competing grocery stores. F's is $3.55 and S's is $4.47 with a dollar coupon off. This is absolutely ridiculous! How on earth can they charge that much more???!!!! I'll make sure I don't stop next time and just keep driving onto the competitors. I feel bad because this is a retirement community and there are people on limited incomes that can't drive to the further places. SMH ‍ shame on you Bashas!!! Also turned the bakery into a self-serve area and if you need anything special, you're going to stand there and wait a while because no one will pay attention to you. Done!
