I've reviewed this store in the past, but I truly enjoy coming here to refill on water and buy the occasional frozen treat. There are sugar free options, which is great if you're diabetic, as well as frozen ice as an alternative to ice cream if dairy isn't your thing. Tanya is awesome, fun to chat with, and all around great in the customer service industry. She's very transparent with the rules: which basically is to bring back your water carts and to mind the water limitations on weekends, which are very clearly posted on the front door. They also have water cards available for $12 to make your experience easier if you're a repeat customer. This place sees a lot of foot traffic, so be prepared to park in the main parking spot as store front spaces are limited. This is a family friendly establishment, so if your kids are with you, be sure to pick up an ice cream or even a soft drink. I always recommend this place as a great spot to visit while supporting your local business. read more

We come here regularly. It's has a variety of sweet treats, to choose from. Affordable!! We appreciate that being a big family. They offer the best ice cream, thrifty's ice cream. The service is beyond exceptional. Used to just pop in from time to time to get some of the delicious ice cream but now I'm in about once a week to refill jugs with alkaline water. The owner was very helpful answering question when I was deciding if I wanted to get a dispenser and start refilling my own water. The employees are always attentive and pleasant. Came into get water at 6:30 at night. No one was in the store. Employee told me I could only get one 5 gallon jug filled. So I filled one. When I went to pay they said I could pay with my credit card. I needed cash or debit. I came with the intention of paying for 4 water refills. Now it's my responsibility to have a second and third payment option because they cannnot preplan. I even check the company website and Facebook page prior to leaving the house. No mention of water restrictions. I guess it's time to put my own RO system under my sink with a tap so I don't have to deal with this crappy business anymore read more

Honestly I'm disappointed I didn't come here sooner. I thought this was a water and ice store not reading the full sign seeing the ice cream part of it. This place is located in the super busy plaza with Bashas'. Parking can be a bit of a mess with how crowded it gets here so park accordingly! The inside is much bigger than I thought it would be and there's places to sit down and enjoy your ice cream! Be careful though this business is bustling with ice carts that go in and out the front door. On weekends they have a 20 gallon limit on water due to demand per a sign posted on the door when I walked in. Ladies behind the serving counter were super patient and friendly even when my family was trying to determine what they wanted. I thoroughly enjoyed the watermelon and cherry Italian ices in their waffle cones. My family enjoyed their chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream. They have a limited pre-made batch of chocolate dipped waffle bowls but you can totally add hot fudge and add your own candy from their selection. Definitely going to come back here to have some yummy AFFORDABLE ice cream. For two scoops waffle cone, two scoops waffle bowl with hot fudge, one scoop waffle bowl with hot fudge and snow caps added, and a large swirl classic cone out total came out to only $14. How do you beat that? Competition in the area is twice to three times that! read more

The one tall girl has very good customer service. And the food there was great. Plus the location is also very convenient for me.

I come here often to refill my 5 gallon jug for water. They have fast fill, and offer carts to take your full containers out to the car. Price is very reasonable for water refill, and the water tastes good. They also offer ion-free water. As for the ice cream, I don't eat ice cream so can't address that. They do have a wall of candy, they carry many of the kind you can't find at the local grocery store. They have 2 tables inside, and some outside seating. I often see families sitting here enjoying their ice cream, and sundaes. Don't pay attention to the long rant of the lady who complained about using her credit/debit card for a $2.56 purchase! seriously? small businesses get charged .30-60 cents for every charge, why would they offer that to someone who is only buying $2.56 for ice? give them a break! read more

In town on a business trip today and decided to try out this place. Geez was a disappointment, disappointed in the fact that where I'm from there isn't a place like this. The staff was so friendly the place was clean the water was wet and cold. Three scoops of rocky road and one scoop of strawberry. It hit the spot ratha ! The young lady who helped me jiibaa I believe was her name ratha. She was professional and very kind with a winning smile and a great attitude to go with it. If everyone had employees with a great attitude like hers the world would be a better place ratha ! There was another young lady Taryn ! Very kind very kind I shall say! Complemented my hair which made me feel good even though it was a wig because I am balding and insecure. Nevertheless she thought it was my real hair and I was utterly thankful for the complement! Just a place for filling your water jugs with tasty water?... think again. They have Thrifty icecream!!! They also have shaved ice, drinks, candy, etc. Like the malt shops back in the day. First-time customers beware! Let me preface by saying that I don't give a crap about whether you wear a mask or not. Also, while I didn't want to make this about anti-mask vs. pro-mask...unfortunately, I have no choice. As you walk into the establishment you immediately notice that it's old and dated; along with the dust covered candy products sitting on displays. But, I've always been a fan of a decent hole-in-the-wall place, and always support small businesses as often as possible. There's a big sign (as you'll see in their photos) that says "shave ice," and that's all I wanted for my two year old son who was hot in this 109 degree desert heat, and is sensitive to lactose. Mind you, we all entered with masks on, and noticed that we were the only ones. But like I said, I don't care what you do. Once it was finally our turn to get helped, this cute older lady approached me behind the counter and asked what I wanted. I politely said I wanted a small cup of shaved ice with pineapple and watermelon flavors. What happened next was just the beginning of this nasty and ugly customer service experience. Immediately this cute old lady began rolling her eyes, and shakes her head in total disgust and disapproval...cupping her hand over her ear, because clearly she was having a difficult time understanding me. I get it! It's hard to understand speech through these masks most of the time, but come on - you're in customer service. Even after that, I proceeded to politely let her what I wanted once again...just in case. I think at this point any other experienced person in customer service could tell that I was a first-time customer. But rather than explaining what they do, and how they do it...she continued to roll her eyes behind her head and chose to repeat herself verbatim at least 2-3 more times. She clearly didn't want to bother with me. However, it was hot and I needed to help my son cool down - I opted for their version of shave ice, which was a scoop of regular ice cream topped with shave ice flavoring - weird. I mean they clearly have the means..it wouldn't have been difficult to make an exception and only give me a child's cup of just shave ice, but anyway, I digress. Things got even weirder when it was time to pay...the bill was $2.58, and being the typical millennial that I am, I busted out one of my multiple debit cards (of course I didn't know the pin for the one I chose) and asked her how I could bypass the pin on the machine. She was beyond pissed at this point, and shows me the obvious sign in front of my face that reads something like: only purchases of $3.50+ for processing credit cards. Listen, I've worked in customer service my whole life and know that you can't expect customers to see the obvious. Amirite?! Thank goodness I had cash on me (this sh*t is rare y'all ) and that was that. I left feeling extremely disheartened and awful about the whole ordeal, because despite our differences, I make it a point to chose kindness and respect. I left feeling frightened that this was just the "new normal" where everyone just treats each other with so much ugliness. Let me make one thing very f*cking clear - when you're in customer service, put your political opinions aside and treat every customer with kindness and respect. Period. I will not allow this ugliness and division to ever be normal, because I have a wide-eyed, big-hearted, brilliant boy that needs to believe that this world and the people in it are generally good. I will continue to approach our differences with grace and an open-heart. Hopefully, this establishment will strive to do the same one day. read more
