Great job Walmart! You lay out a store the same way for 15 years and then you want to change everything. Not just a few aisles, everything! Most of your shelves are empty anyway. Problem with their pin pad created a double charge on my debit card. Went back to store to get the problem resolved. Asked to speak to a manager and was greeted by supervisor with little to no experience. Tried to get in touch with the store manager the next morning. Called 8 times with no one ever picking up the phone. Contacted the corporate office who only offered an apology but no resolution to the situation. read more

Went to Walmart today, 3/27/2026, to return an item and shop. Stood on the return line for 25 minutes. The folks in front of me stood on line for over 40 minutes. There was only 1 person processing returns. The manager, Roseann, refused to relieve the backlog of people waiting on line By waiting on people herself. She never offered an explanation as to why there was only one person in Customer Service nor did she offer to find another employee. She never apologized for the long wait imposed on customers. She rudely walked away from everyone waiting on line to be processed by Customer Service. Additionally, the store POORLY places the large Gatorade bottles on the top shelves. I have to stand on a lower rung of the shelving to get the large Gatorade bottles from the top shelf. The top shelf is over 5 feet high. I have taken a picture of the placement of this large item on a shelf over 5 feet high. If the shelving falls. IF I fall while trying to get this item. My family will be suing Walmart corporation. Asking Customer Service why they place this on a top shelf. The answer is this is where Corporate tells us to place the item. Shame on WAL-MART For their POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

It was about 10:25pm on 4/26/26. As I entered the self checkout I noticed I was being watched continuously as I rung up my items. The first two transactions. I purchased to small items separately because I wanted to get $200 and Walmart only allows up to $100 a transaction, so I did two small transactions to get my $200. Then I proceeded to use the look up option to find the 5 gallon purchase with 5 gallon return, which comes to $7.98 per 5 gallon, so I did it for both 5 gallon waters. I see I am still being continuously watched, not asked if I needed help, but just being stared at. I continue to ring up the rest of my items put them in a bag paid and got my receipt. The second I proceeded away from register to leave I was stopped and asked if I paid for the waters, I reached in the bag to ahw her the receipt. Then she asked if I had brought in the empties and I said yes. And pointed to a Walmart associate that was ring up some items. Then I was given a very awkward look as to if there was no truth to what I was saying, then I left. I am a Black gentleman and I shop at that Walmart quite often. A few associates knows me, so it was quite alarmed at the experience that had just occurred. I don't know if it was racial or stereotyping me but is was not appreciated. Walmart you need to teach your associates and Managers, because she was a manager that I had the encounter with, appropriate customer service, so a customer does not feel racially profiled or stereotyped. Not as bad as it usually is. The floors could use a sweep, but at least there's not trash on the ground in every aisle. I've become sadly accustomed to most foods I typically need being out of stock. If I find what I'm looking for (which I mostly did today), that's a good day. Pharmacy is great, especially Patrick--he's a superstar--but you're going to wait in some long lines. Same with the front check outs. This store was never built to accommodate 40k people in a town that's still growing, and it's always understaffed. I adore all the front end greeters. Most are super friendly and sweet. Avoid the older blonde woman in customer service though; she's quite rude and will walk away from you if you try to ask her anything. She had her vest slung over her shoulder as she stood behind the counter, talking on her cell phone. The moment I said hello, she glared, told me she's not on the clock, and walked away. Granted, this was a little over a year ago, but she's still here and it's worth mentioning in case you somehow are unfortunate enough to receive her nasty attitude. I tried calling the store to address that once, and the phones went unanswered for five minutes at a time each time I called, resulting in me having to call Home Office when this could have easily been addressed on a store level. OGP (Online Grocery Pickup): Super helpful and friendly. They always go out of their way to help and even walk with me to wherever I need to go to find a product. I love that team. Management used to scream at associates on the actual sales floor. Haven't seen that behavior lately, so I guess that's an improvement? If I can help it, I avoid this store. No matter what day or time of the week you go, the parking lot is bursting at the seams. This is really more of a 3 star kind of place, but today's experience was a 4 star. read more

Ripping people off intentionally with their delivery system. Many times we've made orders to have delivered to our home and continuously whenever someone happens to have a small order of just ONE item we purchase a few more items to make the trip worth it. Every time this situation occurs the main item coincidentally is not delivered/goes missing/or gets stolen who knows. This results in us always requesting a re order which Walmart charges all new fees for doubling the overall cost of the entire experience when only 1 item was even wanted overall being that the extra items were only purchased to NOT be charged extra fees. Because of this now you're given the option to buy more items for a discount on delivery OR ELSE. Otherwise it's re funds when you simply need a re deliver. read more

Amazing staff! They are always so helpful and friendly. Every time we come here, they go above and beyond for us. Especially during self checkout! They are always there to help when we need them, Today I visited, and this lady was putting more ground beef on the shelf and she specifically asked us what we're looking for and then she ran all the way to the back to grab the one we wanted. Wow. She was amazing! Thank you!! The weekends get a little crazy and crowded. Better to come on weekdays. Today there were no carts inside so we had to grab one from outside. I love the low prices, and I feel like I can navigate the store pretty well. Overall, this Walmart is probably the best one I've ever been to. No crackhead energy! Haha read more

Soda prices are twice that of Fry's. Crowded in the process of buying an iPad they had a listed price of $249 for 64 GB. The pleasant worker got it but when she scanned it came up $349 swarms of workers came from every way, looked online and just shrugged their shoulders and said well it's 349. I was disappointed Because the advertised price was $249 and I hope that they would honor that unfortunately the only course of action was well you could go online and purchase it. Needless to say they could never explain to me why it was advertised for $249 then they tried to lie and say that it's a different iPad which even some of the workers were saying it's not it was a Wi-Fi only 64 GB listed for $249 so the fact that they're unwilling to help and that there's deceiving prices being listed was quite irritating. Other than that any other time that I go there, they almost make you feel as if you're some kind of criminal watching you literally every step of your shopping experience! Aside from that if you locate a clearance item and it doesn't ring up the clearance price unfortunately they won't honor that either even if all the other items are in the clearance section, they can't tell you what actually is the clearance price because when they scan it with their little scanner, it rings up regular price I even said all the other items are listed in the clearance section and that answer back to me was well someone must've just placed them there by accident. It's like the customer is never right and what we they say goes and there's nothing that we could do about it. I just feel like that's outright false advertisement as I stated Before so good luck on your shopping experience there because thus far mine sucks. read more

This used to be a weekly (1 or 2 visits) shopping trip, but recently they shut down all of the self checkout lines. This made it extremely difficult to just get on and out rapidly, so now I only go there every couple of weeks. When I do go, it has to be before 8am so as to avoid a long wait to check out. The "thin sliced chicken breast" I received from Walmart. It looks like someone went at it with a hack saw. It's stringy and completely inedible. This is the second pack I've received like this. I just had the worst experience of my life! Ive been coming to this store for over 6yrs! I just lost my Grandmother and rented a Rug Doctor and paid over $15 for the cleaning solution (which is ridiculous) but I had a email receipt that I paid. I went to self check out and purchased a few other items... milk, wine, water and hot sauce. I honestly didn't see the hot sauce behind the rug doctor (honest mistake) some Indian man heavy set with a long braid comes and checks my receipt and treated me like a straight up criminal, he even was asking me about the rug doctor and solution, when you can't even get it without pay before the gate opens! I told him that I was dealing with a loss of my Grandmother and maybe it slipped my mind but I have the money to pay. He proceeded to tell me how much worse he could make things for me. I told him it was a honest mistake and if he can skip me ahead of the line so I can pay for that last item that I missed. He proceeded to embarrass me and make a big scene in front of everyone. I told him I've been shopping at this location for over 6 yrs and never ran into a problem like this. I told him it's not what you say but it's how you say it. If I wanted to steal I would've stole the items that was worth way more value than a $3 hot sauce! He proceeded to tell me about how serious he takes his job. Customers were walking pass thinking that I was stealing the whole cart! You need to give your employees training on compassion, empathy and sympathy. He was so worried about the hot sauce that the compassion went over his head. I went and paid for the hot sauce and apologized to him for my mistake and he still wanted to let me know how much worse he could've made things for me. I told him you never know what people are going through and not everyone is a criminal and to please forgive me. I felt so terrible that I don't think I'll ever shop here again, I'll rather drive to Fry's or Sprouts in town. Be ware of the Indian man that thinks he's top flight security of the store. Check your carts people so you don't get embarrassed like I did today. All the other associates apologized to me for his behavior. I've never had to write a review on a company and I'm 42yrs old and this is my first review EVER because he made me feel like a shitty thief /criminal. Have been at the Bakery the past several days and the two packs of doughnuts are stuffed improperly into a small plastic container. Usual container is a cardboard box. Approached two different managers both told me the problem would be corrected. BS................. The problem is still there to this moment, I was just in the store and checked. Walmart before Covid was open 24 hrs and stocking took place at early, early AM. Now not opening till 7 AM. Closes at 11 PM. Stocking is all day. REALIZE WE LIVE IN AZ AND MANY PEOPLE NEED THE COOL HOURS TO SHOP ESPECIALLY DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. Open at 4 AM or at least 5 AM. I go here every once in a while. The store is semi clean. The prices are reasonable. The employees are not very customer service oriented. They half way answer your questions and they barley speak. The two times I went and tried to use the restroom it was horrendous. It needed cleaning badly. When I told an employee that bathroom needed attention she replied "that's not my job" I was like ok you work here can you tell the Manger and she smiled and walked away. Way to go Wally. This is, hands down, the worst Wal-Mart I have ever been to. But because of the convenience factor, we still do a lot of our shopping here. Today we stood in line for nearly 20 minutes. There was one regular register open and one Express lane, plus the self check out ones. We had a lot of produce and a very full cart, otherwise we would have used the self check out lane. We saw numerous employees sauntering around, appearing to be doing nothing. Two of them even cracked jokes about the backup of customers waiting to pay. The employees are mostly useless. The poor management never staffs appropriately. Plus the store is always poorly stocked. Management: from one manager to another, training your employees in good customer service can help the opinion of your store tremendously! read more

This place is the WORST......Monday about noon they had ONE checkout person, an elderly woman trying to do her best with 25 carts lined up. Everyone was upset. Meanwhile, we have several employees standing around talking, especially in the Customer Service area....paying NO attention at all to the massive line waiting to check out. They will tell you they simply cannot find anyone to work....BUT......Sprouts, Frys and Bashas do NOT seem to have this trouble. Whoever manages this Maricopa Walmart needs to be fired. Even when the employees are there to help check out, they are often very rude and it is VERY clear they would rather be somewhere else. NO more Walmart for me!!!! And why are people allowed to let their kids run around and scream and leave toys all around the store? I also find frozen meat left over in the clothing section. We need some security there to kick those kids OUT along with their nasty parents. read more

Order two large "slider" trays from deli that are suppose to feed 15/20 people for New Year's Eve party. They are advertised as being on Hawaiian dinner rolls. My husband picked them up for me and placed in fridge when he got home. When I took them out to serve during the night found out they were made with dry "hamburger" buns!!! For almost $100 worth of sandwiches was so disgusting! No call to say that they were being changed out or asked if I still wanted since they were not able to be made per order. Called store and spoke to the deli "manager" Ashley and she just said they didn't have the Hawaiian rolls so they substituted the buns, no explanation as to not calling and letting me know, very BAD customer service. There was a time when Walmart was an industry leader by using inventory control techniques that made sure they were always on top of supply and there stores always had what you were looking for. Apparently inventory control, along with employee wages, and just employees in general, started cutting into the bottom line because Walmart has become the store Kmart became in the early 2000s. Understaffed by a bunch of people who are so underpaid they don't give a thought to doing a good job or caring to help anyone. The store looks like something out of a post apocalyptic movie with shelves half empty and disorganized. Some of the most basic items go unstocked for months. The Maricopa Walmart is one of the worst I have encountered in Arizona. I know they have low prices, but even those have steadily increased in the last few years. Live in MARICOPA year round. Meat selection and prices way to high and per pound is not on packages. Walmart brand deli cold cuts better than New York City brands at half the price. Get the deal on the roast beef or pastrami with one pound of meat and half pound of cheese. Made with black angus meet is superb. The Walmart brand Cole slaw macaroni and potatoe salad are the best tasting of any New York New Jersey MARICOPA or private brand anywhere. I make pizza but when tired their take home and bake pizzas are better than the local pizza places in MARICOPA at half the cost. Reheat in toaster oven for lunch the next day and as good as first time. Soap, vegetables cat food and electric supplies and many other prices can't be beat. Never shopped in Walmart till I moved here. Never crowded weekdays. Always find what you want less expensive than anywhere else for name brand quality read more

This is the only walmart here but the employees are so friendly and there was a person who forgot to take the cash from the self check out and one of the employees noticed and printed the last receipt and put it away. 2 mins later the person who forgot it came back and was able to take their $40 back. We shop here sometimes because of the convenience and because we live right by it. I've read a lot of reviews about how the employees are usually poor customer service and I've seen it as well but I've also had quite a lot of positive experiences with the employees here as well. A lot of them are polite and helpful. I can say though, there is a lady with long black hair in this store's pharmacy that is the worst customer service I've ever had; rude and horrid attitude. Not just one time either, it's every time I've went there to pick up my meds while she was working. Makes me not want to use this pharmacy and that is sad. I would give another star if not for her. Other than that, the store isn't the worst I've seen. It seemed to be clean when I go in there and stocked pretty decent. read more

This is by far the worst Walmart I have had the displeasure to shop in. Their only positive attribute is that they price match. They are definitely not the cheaper option in town unless you price match. Let's see... where to begin? Let's start with the roof... every time it rains Walmart's floor is covered with buckets to collect the water. Now I could see this as a plus if Walmart was using the rain water as part of a conservation initiative. As I highly doubt that is the case; it just creates unnecessary hazards and is plain negligent. Moving down to the floor... The girl that works in the paint department (I believe her name is Belle) should be fired. I have, in all the times of shopping at the store, only seen her in her department (let alone actually working) once. She carries around an arrogant, know it all attitude, without the work ethic it would require to justify it. It seems she is ALWAYS in some other department chatting with other workers, which is the last thing this Walmart needs - seeing as customer service sucks. Let's work our way back upward to the shelves. If you like the uncluttered look then this is the Walmart for you. It leaves you with the impression that this store is having a "going out of business" sale. Often you will wait weeks (and even over a month) for a commonly used item to be restocked. I have been waiting 3 weeks for Tracing Paper to be restocked. I went by the printer ink section not only to find the ink I needed missing but at least 50% of ALL ink missing. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for some of the "Healthy" frozen items to be restocked. I suppose if I allow myself to see the glass half full for a minute... it could be that Maricopa, as a community, is an overly healthy community and Walmart is simply incapable of keeping up with our needs. I believe it is a MANAGEMENT issue. Many who have been promoted to that position are clearly not capable. In their defense, if staff was paid well (which seeing as Walmart is not the cheapest in town it should be possible) maybe, just maybe their staff would give a @#*^. Yes, I choose to shop there. Yes, I could choose to shop elsewhere (which I do for ANYTHING that is sold in another store in our town). No, I do not enjoy my shopping experience in any way. On one final note.... the lady that works in the toy department has amazing customer service abilities. Also the gentleman that is now working in the craft area is also a gem in this mound of manure.
