That being said, it saddens me to lower this store to a 4 star rating. The last time I shopped here, it seemed that the workers here stocking the racks and shelves could not be bothered. Sizes were all mixed up. The swimwear section was a nightmare to shop. Women's swimwear separates were completely mixed up. Tops and bottoms all mixed up on the same racks with children's swimwear mixed in! I literally wasted over 1 hour of my shopping time here just sorting through swimwear trying to find anything that matched in a size small. I gave up and went to a completely different part of the store. Pretty pathetic that the Buc-ee's in Goodyear had their swimwear and clothing all organized by sizes and here everything was mixed up! A gas station was more organized than this place! The same thing with some of the clothing sections....sizes all mixed up. You had to look through every piece on the rack just to find the size you were looking for! This is unacceptable given the nature of this store. The customer is doing you a favor by purchasing last season's items and moving your product off the shelves...you, the store, should have the sizes organized at the minimum. Another issue I had was that the workers here that were bringing out new racks of clothing to put out on the floor were constantly in my personal space as if I, the customer, was somehow in their way. Seriously! They'd be wheeling out a rack and just about mow me down and start speaking in Spanish right next to me...as if I don't understand enough Spanish to understand that you're talking about me and not saying very nice things... Another problem was kids running amuck in this store. Maybe implement some policies about kids in this store? There were multiple parents here shopping and allowing their kids to run all over the store. Ill behaved children that were bumping into other shoppers, shopping carts, hanging and swinging on clothing displays, playing with shoes, the list goes on and on. A newer problem with this store is the re-seller madness. I don't have anything against re-selling or re-sellers in general, but when you have multiple people pushing their way through the doors at opening and loading up carts filled with the exact same style of discounted designer shoes and not leaving 1 left for any other shopper, maybe it's time to implement some restrictions. I hope my next shopping trip here is a better experience.

During the interaction, the associate made comments around Men's Wearhouse and similar retailers that they are not and that she doesn't like, which came across as dismissive and unnecessary. That said, I personally would not purchase from this store based on my experience with this associate. On a more positive note, I will note that they do offer a wide variety of selections and seem to do quality work. But overall, it's disappointing when quality customer service and professionalism are difficult to find in environments that should feel welcoming and inclusive.

When I asked the cashier how her day was going, she looked at me with one of those forced smiles that REALLY told me she didn't want to be there. Her response was a clipped, "I'm good" when she looked anything but good. Then she looked away and seemed like she couldn't wait to get me the hell out of the store. I'm a little sad because I'm always for customer service and tend to be on their side because people in general can be kind of crappy. The place was packed! That being said, there were at least four employees handling customers. We were offered some cold bottles of water while we waited, which was a nice touch, and then Vicki helped us out. We ended up trying on a boys' suit and then ordering a size up... I found the price for this reasonable for a quality suit and we were told it should be arriving within the week. We will go back when it arrives to see if it needs alterations, and I know that BT&C is known for the great job they do with tailoring, so I may have to bump this review up another star based on our next experience visiting. I've seen a lot of "Buy 1 get 1 for $10" sales during different seasons at different locations. Because they have such a huge selection, a lot of their stores are cramped and it's usually a cluster when I shop there. I usually get annoyed trying to navigate my way through the cluster but this particular Rue 21, however, is different. The store was still a bit crowded with everything they try to cram in there, but things were neat and organized. In addition to their clothes and accessories, they sell shoes, perfume and cologne. I like the fact that they have a wide variety of everything they sell. They not only sell perfume but they sell a bunch of different kinds of perfume and the same goes for their shoes, sunglasses, necklaces, etc. The only mishap I had with this location was that they put my accessories in a small plastic bag but forgot to put it in the large bag with the rest of my clothes. I realized they forgot when I got back to my hotel and called right away. The employee remembered as soon as I explained what happened and was very apologetic. She said they would hold it for me and I could pick it up anytime they were open. I planned to pick it up the next day, which was Sunday but I was told that they open at noon on Sundays. Say what?! I found it kind of odd that they open so late on Sundays. It's OK Rue 21, I still love ya!
