This is the best Mexican food in Lake County, possibly all of Northeast Ohio. We have been eating here since they opened and we have never had a bad meal here. The restaurant is always clean. Their service is always top notch too- fast and friendly. Their street tacos are delicious. I highly recommend the Tacos Al Pastor. (Marinaded pork in chile sauce with pineapple). Awful experience. Pics on menus are stock photos. What you get is everything covered in yellow cheese. The salad that comes with food - pico, tomato's ect was wilted and stale. Food was cold and overpriced. It will be a long time if ever I go back here again. Beans were Dry. Salt was all I tasted. No one finished their meals in my party. Tinga burrito had little meat in it. Mixed review on this place. We've been going here for years. The staff is always friendly and attentive and they serve the best Mexican food in the area. Unfortunately, they are pricing themselves out of our budget. While web sources say $10-$20 per person, dinner for two with soft drinks goes for over $50 plus tip. The prices have soared over the past few years - more than other places. Example: Cheese sauce that was $0.99 just a few years ago is now $3.49. Three and a half bucks for a spoonful of topping is ridiculous. Then a surprise on the check - a 4% surcharge for using a credit card. That's something new, with no warning on the menu. We left feeling gouged. Unfortunately, what used to be a regular dinner spot for us will now be a once or twice a year destination. Don't let the plaza exterior fool you - this is a cool little restaurant with a fun vibe and great food! I love the themed art, the servers are all friendly and helpful, and everyone at my table loved their food, including me. We had lunch here and we were so disappointed. It felt kinda dirty, the service was ok, never refilled my soda though. The restroom was ewwww, the doors to the toilets were uneven, one was super high, couldn't use that one! It also felt dirty. Now the food--we felt taken advantage of. I'm originally from Texas so mexican food is a staple for me and my family. I ordered the fajita burrito for delivery from Doordash and it was excellent. The portions were enough for two meals. Recently opened in Painesville Commons Shopping Center. Clean space, comfortable. We were seated right away and the service was attentive and friendly. I was informed there was a margarita speical so I tried one and it was average. My burrito with chipotle dip poured over it was very good. Came with steak, chicken, and shrimp, good size portion. The sauce was very tasty, smoky and good spice level. Not very impressed with the enchiladas we ordered though. The red sauce was bland. We're going to stick with El Taco Macho a few doors down, higher quality ingredients there we felt. read more

This place is an utter disappointment. The food is good but the service is awful. Don't bother looking through the menu and picking what you want. They will give you what they feel like. You want a chimichanga with beef, nope you get chicken. You order a burrito with shrimp for your child guess what it has tails on it. We called at 1pm for a to go order to be picked up at 6. After waiting for hours and having to return because they forgot to add a dinner we are finally home eating at 8:30. If you don't mind what or when you eat or if your feeling lucky and want to risk your child choking on a shrimp tail give them a try. read more
