The food was excellent! My wife had the shrimp tacos and I had the short rib tacos. I thought mine were better, she thought hers were better. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich. Though the cole slaw was a bit underwhelming, the rest of the sandwich more than made up for it. Our waitress was fast and courteous. She was at our table multiple times checking on us. Came for the shrimp tacos. Amazing is the easiest way to describe them. A good crispy shrimp with a very good sauce and corn relish. The fries were lest then good almost as if they were held under a heat lamp all day or even were from day before. read more

I have eaten here 2x. And I've ordered the same thing both times, the poke tacos. They are so good! Not joking they are delicious! They come with fries. Which is fine but the fries are in this little basket and I swear I get the ends every time. Every time. They are good just tiny. Grrrr. My partner got the burger and was happy. All in all both times have been a good experience. I do think they are a bit pricey for the amount you get. But that's me. The place is smaller but the bar covers half the spaces they have both low top and high top tables. Nice atmosphere in general. I can see this place getting crowded on a Friday or Saturday night. Not too big. Lots of parking. Staff is very nice. All in all a good experience. Just wish I got a bit more food for the price. read more

First appearance so great, loved the decor and atmosphere. It can be a little loud, but I have kids so I don't mind. Great selection of beers. Met here with two smart and wonderful professional ladies. Our server Nikki was fantastic. She was very attentive without interrupting. We enjoyed our beer and white wines. Pretty good meal! Stopped by driving back home to Detroit from New York for dinner. It was quite busy on a Friday night...seemed like a local hotspot. If you have a big party I would definitely recommend a reservation. The inside was cute and very decorated. The staff was very nice and sat us after about a 15 minute wait. The drink list and beer list were great. Ended up ordering two mules, the raspberry and blackberry, and both were super good!! For dinner we started with the pretzel since I love pretzels and beer cheese. Super good..highly recommend! Little salty but not too bad. For dinner we got the Reuben with truffle fries and the wings with buffalo sauce. Also good (forgot to take pictures sorry). The wings are described as crispy on the menu..and that's not why I'd describe them as. They were good but could have used like a quick fry to crisp them up. So when you go into a pub the size of grandma's house, if all the walls were removed, and a regular carries on a conversation with you like you and him our brothers. Then you have come to right place. I thought it was a fluke but when the next couple came in they were equally engaging. The wait staff was equally as pleasant. They are constantly cracking jokes and giving each others and the patrons hard times. When deciding where to have dinner my criteria was definitely something great to drink and I was looking for comfort food and Pub Frato fit this to a "T". I am a Manhattan guy and they have a great selection on non traditional manhattans. My first order was the honey and fig Manhattan it was a great drink but It was a bit on the sweeter side. The next selection was the black walnut Manhattan. This is more my style not as sweet but full body of flavors. So many tasty items on the menus it was a hard decision to make what to have. So settled on the pork schnitzel and boy was I surprised. Out comes to lovely breaded pork patties the size of Ohio. The real draw for me was the German warm potato salad and a side of baked apples. The schnitzel came with a lemon sauce which is traditional, but my southern heritage said pork gravy would have been awesome. This place is a gem. I went back on monday only to find them closed. Pub Frato is a nice place to visit and have a beer and a few appetizers. The staff is pleasant and I've not had a bad time there. It's more enjoyable to go there in the summertime. The only downside is that it's pricey and for a flight of beer, Manhattan, and 3 appetizers it will set you back 60.00. I don't know what their food cost are so the pricing might be right and I could just be complaining. read more

I'm biased, my son was a server here for a year. However, we really do like this restaurant and frequented it prior to him being a server. They have a pretty unique brunch-y menu on the weekends. I have no complaints about anything I've tried on the menu, and between me and my family I believe we've tried everything. Nice seating arrangement, with ample bar seating. I've been eating at Pub Frato for years. The Pub Burger is to die for. It's on my list of top 5 burgers I've ever had. I recently enjoyed the vegan tofu tacos. Very good bite. They have a great cocktail and beer selection. I always enjoy time spent at Pub Frato. read more

First time visit, they were fairly busy. It was a 45 minute wait for a table or we could sit and eat at the bar right way. We sat at the bar which was now full. Got a friendly greeting right away, given menus and drinks orders. We ordered and the food came quicker than expected. I got fish and chips and it was tremendous. My wife got the philly tacos which she's still talking about. The Food was awesome, the service was better and the price was very fair. I will be back. May be my new favorite place. read more

I enjoyed a delicious, fatty lunch here! Per my friend's recommendation, I ordered the burger and truffle fries, and it was a perfect lunch for a big appetite. The burger had salty, sweet, all the flavors, and was cooked to perfection. Truffle fries are never not a good idea. The place is a nice, casual and comfortable spot in the neighborhood. If you're on the prowl for a taco Tuesday, this is the place to go! Not your typical beef taco, but think outside of the box. Next level $2 tempura shrimp, roasted eggplant, & chicken, just to name a few. I'm very happy that there were Vegetarian options on the taco menu for this most sacred day. Reservations are recommended for the Taco Tuesdays. The vibe was very cozy, with a farmhouse meets Steampunk kinda decor. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Drinks and food were all on point. We ordered takeout from Pub Frato on a Saturday night after a visit to Holden Arboretum. Starting off, the woman on the phone could not have been friendlier despite an obviously packed restaurant (I could just tell from the noise in the background). She read off all the specials for me. We opted for the shrimp tacos and cauliflower tacos (not specials - just on the regular menu). She also listed off the different sides we could swap for the fries - we chose the graciella salad and the brussels sprouts. $33 total. Upon arriving home and doing a quick reheat on the oven (we live 40 mins away), it became obvious why this place was named best gastropub multiple years in a row. Everything was just above and beyond. Nothing over the top, but not boring basics either - just really well executed on all fronts. We'll be back, whether or not we have anything else to do in the area. It's worth the drive! read more

I'm not sure why all of the rave reviews... I was there for dinner with my family and found the place to be loud and "worn". I got the fish and chips... I should have just got Gordens fish sticks!!! The fish was terrible and the "chips" fries greasy and sparse . The Cole slaw was tasteless as thought they forgot to put the dressing in it! Overall a terrible experience and not worth the money.
