My husband and I have been regulars at red wine and brew since the beginning. The food has always been amazing and the service excellent. Recently the restaurant must've been bought by somebody else and it is slowly gone downhill. We used to go there once a week for salads and now all they have is your typical cranberry smothered sweet fruity salads. There used to be a really good chef and a fabulous chop salad. When we walked in last Thursday, they were pretty empty. It used to be so packed all the time. We have gotten their burgers and those are usually always delicious, but the other night we went and we ordered smash burgers and the waitress brought us a different burger. It was smothered in some sweet unappetizing sauce. We told her immediately and she didn't seem to really care. We also used to get a lot of french fries, now it's just a small handful at the most. She never came back to the table and she never offered to take it off our bill. So disappointing. There used to be so many really great servers there, but we haven't seen them lately. I attended a party in the loft. It was great, and the food and service were very good. It was a cash bar, and I bought 2 glasses of cabernet. Imagine my shock , when I got my bill and it was $26.40! This is one of our go to spots, which usually doesn't disappoint us. Unfortunately, on our last visit we were disappointed. On Saturday 12/7, after a very long day out and about, we wanted something to eat and to RW&B we headed. Lucky we has reservations, since the place was packed. (always great to see establishments populated by patrons!) 3 of the 4 of us, ordered the bowl of soup of the day. Here's the glitch! The bowls were only filled half way, really making it a cup of soup. The quality was excellent, the quantity WAS NOT! We all felt the serving size was less than what it should have been. We Had dinner here, Saturday with family celebrating a birthday. And the service was wonderful Chris and the team just spectacular. Really nice energy wonderful wine area. It really is a place for everyone. Kids can eat here. Families can eat here and you have a really nice bar scene. Also, when the weather is nice, you can sit out on the patio. First time here to eat (been to the store many times). Will definitely be back. Perfect night for sitting on the patio. The road noise was a bit loud, but that's not their fault. The food and the service were great. Bison burger with bacon jam was cooked perfectly. And the sweet potato fries were some of the best in town - they had a nice crisp and the sweet dipping sauce was addictive. My partner's linguine was also great. The sauce was perfectly balanced and so flavorful. And as to be expected, their beer and wine selection was epic! read more

I've gone to this restaurant many times since it has been open. It has changed since their opening and definitely has their ups and down: Ups: *Food here is usually excellent here - I ordered the 'son of the beast' in this post. It was delightful, but black pepper bourbon sauce was likely too reduced to the point that it was a syrup and was slightly too sweet for my taste. It overpowered everything it touched. The butter/white wine sauce tamed it down, so I was able to eat most food. My husband had the pasta and obviously enjoyed it ( I wasn't even able to try it!) *environment is usually chill. They have live music sometimes (stopped after the start of covid, but now starting up slowly). There is a nice patio (and indoor/outdoor area) when the weather is nice but often fills up quickly (reservations are highly recommended) *service. Usually great and attentive. They have a lot of spunk, but this day was relatively poor. Our server seemed to not care about us vs the other tables with young women. He didn't listen to me when I request things several times, he didn't know what liquor selection they had, he took away our drink menus (didn't even ask if we wanted more than our 1 we ordered) and never gave us water. Yikes. Sorry if you had a bad day bro... *retail area is sweet. Downs: *they had a better beer/wine selection pre-covid, but not so great anymore *The cigar lounge stinks up the place sometimes (especially the cover patio area). It's a new year and time for a new review! My wife and I went to Red Wine & Brew and were wanting to try something different. I haven't been here in a long long time but after my most recent experience I don't know why I don't go back more often! We sat on the covered patio which is adjacent to the smoking patio and you could definitely smell the cigars coming off the smoking patio which I don't mind but my wife is a little sensitive to. It was really nice to Head live music in the Next Room, a couple fireplaces going, and the neatest part about this is that if you want a beer out of the retail store cooler every beer is $3. I'm amazed at this because I know a lot of the beers they have in their retail for more than $3 in many cases. Due to this I partook in many boddington Ales. My wife got the beef tips and gnocchi. She said it was very filling but the beef was cooked a little too much. I tasted it and I agree but I still think it was good. I haven't had a hamburger since summer so I decided to have the bacon cheeseburger which I know isn't the best thing for somebody to eat but man this was delicious. The Patty appeared to be about a third of a pound with bacon that was cut up not strips of bacon which I actually really enjoyed because I don't like biting into a burger and pulling half the bacon out onto my plate. There's a really good portion of fries I wish they were cooked a little more so they are crispier but overall we had a really good night and great service and the bill was completely tolerable. Way to go and now that I know that I can pay $3 a beer for literally any beer in their cooler I'm definitely going to go back. read more

We chose Red, Wine, and Brew because we stayed at the Comfort Inn and they offered a discount for guests. It sounded interesting and we thought we would give it a try. We are so glad we did! This restaurant was fantastic and does not deserve the 3 1/2 stars. I am giving it 5 stars, because I can fault nothing. The food was good, the seating was comfortable (we sat by the fire), the music was the correct volume, it was clean, and it was appropriately priced. We visited this restaurant in a Lake Snow Effect Warning at 9pm on a Saturday night. I really have nothing negative to say. I usually say something negative so that you know that I am a real person. Ummm... it was snowing. Emily (our server) was awesome. She was helpful, bright, cheerful, and chatty (just the right amount). She was also totally cool when we decided to add an appetizer after we already ordered. She made sure we got everything at the right time. I informed her that it was a special occasions and my reservations was for the main lounge area. Without hesitation she moved us to a high top table in the main lounge. I was turned on to this place by a coworker. This is a candy store.for cigar, wine, and beer lovers. They also have a great selection of food The service is awesome. I have requested drinks like the Sazerac and not even on the menu. But they aim to please ane will pull up a recipe from the net to give you the ultimate drink and smoke experience I am torn between the smoke lounge and the.bar. .the bartenders all have a different personality but they are fun and easy going. They are very entertaining but you don't wait long before they are checking on you often to.make sure that you're are having the best time. This place fits the hang out after work to first date to special occasion. The boys can hang out in the smoke lounge watching the game to sitting at the bar to catch up with friends. You can always sit in the multie seating areas and have dinner with the family or girls night out. They have an awesome selection of beer, wine and cigars. I have ways found something that fit my mood. If I want to drink beer with Maduro. Just walk to the humidor and grab a cigar and then to the cooler and have a beer. Visited on 12/19 after eating here numerous times in the past. 1. I am not a big mask fan, but I wear one. Our server had a mask on that did not cover their nose and was constantly adjusting it. I give the benefit of the doubt and maybe there was a medical condition. So be it, but put the person in a less customer facing role. With that said, our server was extremely attentive, kind and otherwise professional. Like top notch but for the mask issue. 2. The food. Shrimp and grits. Very good. Always consistent. The burger we ordered was requested medium well. It arrived medium rare. Didn't send it back. The half chicken was a whole other issue. When we cut into it it was bleeding and undercooked. It was returned to the kitchen and by the time it was returned to our table, everyone was finished eating. It was removed from our bill and packed up to take home. The next night, I warmed the chicken at 375 for 20 minutes. The outside crisped up nicely, but as you can see, even when heated at a pretty significant temperature, it was still essentially raw inside. Just awful. My guess is that they were cooking frozen chicken that was never brought to temperature or cooked long enough. 3. The beer selection in the shop remains phenomenal and that's the reason this received a two star, instead of a one star review. 4. Still left a 40% tip because we should all be doing our part to help out where we can right now. Please put some quality control in the kitchen. read more

My husband and I went for an early dinner a little after 4pm for the first time In awhile. As soon as we wakes in the door (we came through the back) all of the kitchen staff greeted us so warmly it was so sweet. You could tell everyone was happy to be there. We sat down and since I'm pregnant I can't enjoy a nice wine however our waiter suggested they could make a raspberry lemon drop mocktail ! This was fantastic. It made me feel special and happy since I can't get what normally would've got. We had the bread and oil as an appetizer, this was delicious. We had a second helping of bread with it. My husband got the chicken pot pie and he really enjoyed it ! I ordered the pork chop with whipped sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Let me say this was absolutely phenomenal. It was cooked to perfection, seasoned perfectly .. and the pairings with the sides were absolutely out of this world amazing. We had such a great night. The price points for the quality of the meals the chefs put together was of a 5 star restaurant. I really wish I had taken a picture because the plating was also very nice but I didn't get one because I was too excited to eat. My husband and I frequent Red, Wine, & Brew solely for the fact that the wine is retail price and we can grab whatever bottle we like and not feel robbed! We always like visiting the retail store afterwards to stock up. We like the ambiance of the patio area, especially in the Winter when the fire is going. The menu has gone through changes over the years. We always love the appetizers - pretzel, cheese board, calamari, etc. but in the last few times we've visited the entrees have been just OK. The truffle sweet potato fries were good even though they did not have a fresh batch of dipping sauce. We both agreed that the Chicken Marsala was the best we could recall ever having! We've been here a few times and no matter what good we order, we are never all that impressed. It's "ok" but nothing we'd come back for. This past visit, my husband and I both ordered burgers - neither were outstanding, but both were pretty good. I did love the truffle fries and they give a huge portion of them. We also ordered the bread and oil appetizer and that was delicious. Again, not something we'd make a special trip to get, but definitely something we'd order again. In regards to their wine selection: 5+ stars... they have a wonderful wine and beer selection. They give you discounts for a case and there's usually always someone there to help if you have questions. In regards to their restaurant: 2 stars...they always disappoint when it comes to the food. I have been wanting to check this place out because I heard it had a good wine/beer selection, though I think that would be an understatement. The place is one of the larger wine/beer stores that I've come across and it has pretty much all the wines and beers you could possibly imagine! (I think I read somewhere that it has more than 3k different kinds of beers and 10k different kinds of wine). I was picking up a birthday gift there for a friend and they had some nice bottles pre-wrapped with a bow on them.
