I can see why this place has $HITTY reviews! I'd give zero stars if i could. I wanted to stop in and grab a scoop of ice cream to go but i had my little puppy with me since i was taking her for a walk. I looked around for a "no pets allowed" sign but didnt see one, so out of respect i picked her up and carried her in my arms as i went in to order. As soon as i got to the front a nasty male worker, regular build, middle eastern, told me the store doesn't allow pets. Nowhere on the website nor storefront does it say that. I would've been a quick 3 min transaction but he was being so unbelievably annoying and harassed me and my girlfriend, to the point he literally came and chased us out the store. ZERO stars for this Carvel! I went in and placed an order for a Reese's sundae dasher with hard ice cream instead soft which you can go through all my Yelp pictures I order it everywhere with no problem! This overweight man of Asian decent whom I'm guessing is the owner told me No! I told him I order it at every Carvel I go to, and I even said I had no problem paying more money for it for it to come with hard ice cream instead of soft! He said we won't make you a Reese's dasher with hard ice cream even if you pay more. So, basically all I'm asking for in case anyone who doesn't know about Sundae dashers is hard ice cream with Reese's cups and peanut butter and hot fudge. What's the big deal! Never in my entire life did I ever encounter a man so rude to a paying customer! It's absolutely ridiculous I can't order hard ice cream with two layers of Reese's, peanut butter and hot fudge! Not sure why so many bad reviews, but they get a solid 4 stars in my book! It's better than your typical Carvel, but at the same time they're a chain, people..... what do you expect? Mostly young inexperienced workers probably high-school or college-age kids. But most fast-food/chain places pay minimum wage so it's highly presumptuous to expect white glove treatment. And I actually like this Carvel better than most others. They honor the discounts they offer like certain days have BOGO on the sundaes and milkshakes. We went recently and my milkshake cup was almost full but the kid behind the counter went through the hassle of going back to add more ice cream and milk just to make sure it was full to the brim. read more

I would rate this store a ZERO, but I don't have that option. I came to the store to purchase an ice cream cake for my daughter who has peanut allergies. I was assured that the ice cream cake I purchased was peanut-free, and it was produced in a nut-free facility. After leaving the store, I further inspected the ingredients on the label, I noticed that it clearly stated the ice cream cake was made on equipment that also produced peanut products. When I returned to the store and explained to the store manager that the information he gave me was erroneous, and requested a refund, he proceeded to rudely reprimand me (obnoxious screaming). After several verbal exchanges, he reluctantly decided to give me a refund. While processing the refund, he incorrectly issued another customer a refund instead of me. He then went on a verbal tirade stating that he lost money -- it was HIS error. He finished the process, threw the receipt at me, and told me to "get the hell out of my store!!!". PLEASE DO NOT SHOP AT THIS CARVEL LOCATION, TO DO SO IS VALIDATING SUCH RUDE AND INDECENT BEHAVIOR. read more

They have good ice cream and great frozen yogurt. And after reading some of the reviews here, I want to say that the people who works in this location were very friendly to me and to my niece. They let us taste 4 different flavors before we decided which one to go with. It is a nice place with nice people. Customer Service is the worst I've ever seen! We come here a few times a month and have been for many years. Tonight I ordered a swirl milkshake and it had an odd taste. I went back in and told them that I did not like the way it tasted and that maybe something was wrong with it. (Something I almost never do) The manager immediately says nothing wrong with the milkshake, the ice cream or the milk. He then takes out the milk tastes it and it says nothing wrong with it. Shrugs me off and does not offer to make me a new one, offer me something else or even my money back. We live in the neighborhood and have many friends that go to that location. They have lost our family as customers as well as my friends and family in the neighborhood. I guess the customer is never right at this location. I have no complaints when it comes to their ice-cream; it's pretty good. However, their owner or manager is a real douchebag. It's not good business to be rude to your customer. They also advertise "Everything Buy one get one Free" on Wednesdays. The sign fails to mention that cake are not included in this promotion. I understand that it would be bad business to include cakes in this promotion, but don't advertise that EVERYTHING is buy one get one free when it's not true or at least put a disclaimer that cakes are not included. read more

The butter pecan avoids the overly sweetened butter flavor of most butter pecan ice creams, and the banana flavor delivers the right accent of small, soft banana bites in the mix. Rude! Rude is really an understatement here. This manager has no people skills, its no wonder he's never taking the orders, or speaking with customers. My boyfriend ordered a milkshake, we brought it to the car and realized something was off. It tasted funny, it tasted sour and just overall not good. I convinced my bf to go back inside and just let them know that something isn't right, hoping they would make it right. We've been customers here for years, we live nearby and never had a bad experience with their quality before. So when we brought it up, the manager straight denied anything was wrong, we suggested maybe the milk was rotten. So he took it out and tasted it himself.. he went through all that work just to prove nothing is wrong, and yet... our milkshake tasted wrong! It was a simple shake, a twist milkshake, nothing else in it. Very plain. How could one mess it up? You can't, unless the ingredients are rotten. Children love ice cream and Carvel serves a good ice cream but this store has some employees with the personality of a cardboard, and their attitude could be paired with truck repair shops. Tonight my two children and I took a bike ride to this Carvel store, as we do every week. My kids always get the same thing; mint chocolate chip for my son and my daughter vanilla soft ice cream with sprinkles (I don't get any ice cream :) ). After realizing that I dint have enough cash with me (only $3.75) I asked if they accepted credit cards and I was told the minimum was 10 dollars. So I told the guy if that was enough and he said no, you can get only one cup. So while my children were fighting because they didn't want different flavors ice cream, he stood there looking at them crying and being mad that they couldn't each get their own ice cream. Now I understand that this is a business they have to sell stuff .... Nevertheless, he could have said; hey, it is ok; they both can have their ice cream and you can bring the rest of the money tomorrow. However, he stood cold as tree and looked at them as they walked away upset with only one cup. Very dirty place!!! The manager and staff is very rude! This place is very expensive and the portions are not what you would expect for a size Large. VERY CHEAP in portions, yet VERY EXPENSIVE for the item! I purchased a Large ice cream and they gave me two small scoops inside. Bought a Large soft ice cream and they put half ice cream inside the cup. I asked for more and the manager said no its enough ice cream! I bought strawberry ice cream and found plastic inside my mouth while chewing. I cut the side of my mouth with the sharp edges of the plastic and almost cracked my tooth. Thank god I noticed it in time. I went into this location to discuss with manager and he said nothing he can do, things happen, when they were making the ice cream, the plastic must of fell in. The ice cream at this carvel is fine however, they like to cheat you on the cones. Every time I get a soft serve cone they balance the ice cream on top so there in none in the cone. When you eat all the ice cream on top and do get to the cone you end up eating an empty cone! Frustrating. read more
