Will never order or go back here again. We just ordered from here and at the end of the shake was a broken black finger nail. When I called and spoke to the manager he insisted no one had nails and he personally made that shake. he was very nasty and didn't express and simply. he just kept telling me it didn't happen at the store. He wouldn't do anything said he didn't have to. I said you could be a little nicer about it. his response was why not my problem.

Haven't had carvel in forever but got some soft serve. The service was great and the ice cream was what you would expect. I did get two seasonal flavors ( bourbon toffee and salted caramel) and would recommend sticking with the chocolate and vanilla.

Friendly and quick service. Clean location. My go to location whenever I'm in the area and having a craving for ice-cream.

It is surely a community fixture with generations of families stopping by to celebrate the best things in their lives with homemade ice cream and an assortment of candy in dozens of glass jars along one wall. I admit to stopping in after an epic brunch at a nearby Greek diner, and to being too stuffed to dive into their flavors of the week 'screams. My friend was not as disciplined as I, so she ordered a cup of some chocolate peanut butter which she kvelled over. Apparently, they also had an orange long stringy confection that she wanted for later indulgence. All very cool, but she isn't diabetic. The ambiance of Egger's is definitely mid-twentieth century, and could use a fresh coat of paint to brighten the joint up a bit. Maybe better lighting, too. Otherwise, growing up in the City (Washington Heights) in the same era, this malt shop/candy emporium with long counter and spinners brought fond memories of my childhood flooding back. That, my friends, is always a very good moment. Four Sugary Super Sundae Stars. Those were the days!

They have the classic ice cream diner experience with candy, sweet treats, and counter with bar stools. It's well worth the price and the flavors are exceptionally tasty!

The morning of our event there was snow on the ground, and Danielle, one of the owners, personally called early to confirm everything was still on. She shoveled herself out and drove in from New Jersey to make sure the coffee bar was set up and ready. That level of dedication and professionalism truly stood out. The coffee bar itself was a huge hit. They offered espresso drinks, cappuccinos, flavored lattes, oat milk options, and iced selections -- all made fresh to order. The quality was excellent and truly café-level, not just standard event coffee. The iced lattes were especially popular with our guests. The setup was polished and professional, the baristas were friendly and efficient, and it added such a fun, elevated touch to the brunch. If you're planning a wedding event, shower, or special celebration, I highly recommend Beans & Leaves. Exceptional service, delicious coffee, and a team that genuinely cares about your event.

So good! This is what I'd expect of a Staten Island local favorite. First off, the ambiance is…read morelow-key. Upon entering, I saw customers of all ages. One table had a group of senior women catching up; another of two kids enjoying their waffles; and a third of a customer enjoying her solitude with a book in hand. Interestingly, even with the low music, the acoustics made it difficult to hear the person I was with. There was so much chatter in the space! Still, I enjoyed my time. This was my first visit, so I asked the cashier what he'd recommend for toasts. What was suggested were the avocado toast or the ricotta with fig jam and arugula toast. I went for the latter! I paired it with a hibiscus/cranberry tea called Angel Fall Mist, apparently a fav among customers. All in all, the meal was delish!!! The fig jam was not too sweet and was complemented well by the ricotta cheese. $9 for the toast plus tax came out to $10.89. The tea total was $3.27. Pretty affordable, I'd say! If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend it!
