It was heartbreaking to see them closed for nearly a year following the crash that kept their doors shut, but the shop looks great and the community is lucky to have them back. The menu is packed with choices, and there are so many ice cream flavors to choose from. I went with the Bordeaux Cherry in a fresh, house-made waffle bowl, and it was a delectable treat. The staff behind the counter were not only friendly but also very funny, which made the experience even better. There is plenty of seating both inside and out for enjoying your dessert. It is such a welcoming environment, and we are so happy to see this Hillsboro staple back in action!

The shop smells heavenly when you walk in and that enticed the 3 of us to each order a waffle bowl for our yummy ice-cream. I was excited to see they have so many great flavors and they carry my favorite peanut butter and chocolate. My son ordered Huckleberry heaven and hubby had the cherry Bordeaux. The gentleman behind the counter was not super friendly or welcoming. Maybe he was annoyed because we all ordered waffle bowls that he was making anyway.

It was our first time here and I cannot believe I haven't been here sooner!…read more Staff were super helpful and friendly! They were so patient as we tried, what felt like a hundred, flavors! I ended up going with a a small Monkey Business and my partner went with Orange Dream in a waffle bowl. The Monkey Business had fresh banana and it was like nothing I've tasted before. The banana flavor is just enough. It's not too overpowering. My partner's Orange Dream was also delicious! Orange Cream anything is my go-to! The Orange part was orangey and the cream part was creamy! Fair warning: their scoops are gigantic!! A small feels like two scoops, which I am not complaining lol The waffle bowl, I believe had 3 scoops! I also tasted the following, which were all delicious: - horchata - pistachio - butter pecan - raspberry sheet cake While the inside is strictly for ordering ice cream, they have plenty of outdoor seating right outside.

We visited during the Christmas season and saw flavors featuring eggnog and peppermint, along with plenty of non-holiday classics. They also offer sherbet and a vegan ice cream option, which is a nice touch. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. I also appreciate that they list approximate calorie counts--though honestly, if you're worried about calories, this probably isn't the place to be anyway! I decided to try something I wouldn't normally order and went with the eggnog flavor. It tasted exactly like frozen, creamy eggnog and was really good. I'm glad I ordered a small because the portion was more than enough for me. The only thing keeping this from a full five stars is the lack of seating. There are no tables, even though there seems to be space for them, so we had to stand while eating. Having a few tables would really elevate the experience. Overall, this is high-quality, homemade ice cream that's definitely worth stopping in for.

I was dying {hand on forehead} for a banana split and far too lazy to leave the house to get one. Thank you Ubereats! And, thank you Baskin Robbins - that was freaking delicious! You can get whatever ice cream flavors you want. I almost went completely traditional with three scoops of vanilla but could not resist a scoop of their Reeses peanut butter cup for one...vanilla for the other two. Toppings?? Pineapple, strawberry and chocolate... a great banana and topped with chopped almonds and cherries. It was pretty perfect. They also had a free scoop with a $15 purchase so I 'just had to' grab a Reeses peanut butter cup parfait to go into the freezer for later along with my free scoop of Jamoca almond fudge. They have some great sundae suggestions and their adds are top notch. I also just discovered that they have ice cream bars which look pretty great since two of them are favorite ice cream flavors of mine with a chocolate coating.

I got the oreo shake which is sweet cream and oreo and it was very good. We wish they had the chocolate fudge ice cream that they had a couple months ago because it was very good and rich. The service was good even though we went 30 minutes before closing, but the workers seemed a little frustrated that we ordered 3 ice creams and 2 shakes.

Mine was the plant based chocolate with a mixture of strawberries. I didn't mean to pick plant based but it def. lacked chocolate flavor. It was like a subtle chocolate sorbet but the texture was still good. I liked the strawberries mixed into it. My dad got coffee mixed with roasted coconuts flakes. That was a very fun and delicious combo! I usually don't like coconut things but this was exceptional and it added an extra texture, too. Since it was BOGO, we paid about $6 (w/o tips included yet). So, if I didn't have the coupon, this would be pretty expensive, in my opinion. A 'small' was good to share with 2 or even 3 people personally but it depends since people view ice creams differently haha. Anyways, I will try their actual chocolate ice cream next time, if I get BOGO.

There was a…read moresign in the door that says " made Friday and Saturday only. " so I assumed it'd be safe to come back in a Friday. On Friday k come in ready to try a few things and the owner snaps at me and tells me why she doesn't understand why I thought they made it on a Fridays, they've only ever made it on Saturday. I explained we saw the paper and she said no that was for something else. I then SUGGESTED she put up a sign explaining that tanghulu was made only in Saturdays and she started arguing with me about why I was wrong. I again explained it was a suggestion. At that point I should have just walked out, this store is only open like 4 days a week and the days it is opened they barely sell anything! My friends play an Avatar based d&d so I got some of these candy games for them and we got two parfaits (one raspberry chocolate one strawberry.) we told her we wanted our order to go. She handed our food to us without lids and we had to ask for them. My ice cream was okay, it was vanilla soft serve, with strawberries, and strawberry sauce, nothing crazy (but better at McBees!) but my partners was GROSS! The raspberry was overpowering and even though it didn't list coffee it had a STRONG flavor of coffee. I hate coffee. We ended up throwing his away it was so gross! TLDR: the owner is rude, they only actually have a menu on Saturday and get samples of everything because some stuff doesn't taste very good

It's a fun, unique place with great staff! I also love that they celebrate Pride Month and support LGBTQ+. My eye immediately caught the huge wall art inside when I entered. It's beautiful! They also have a gashapon station and mini crane game. Plenty of inside seating with some outdoor seats. They have one kiosk to place your order, or you can talk to the person working at the cashier. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They told us the man working in the kitchen only works on Saturdays, which is when he makes special treats like the Ube Japanese cheesecake! This is a good one! It's very light and delicious, a perfect treat for Ube lovers. Love matcha? No problem, they have so many matcha flavored treats. I went with the mini taiyaki matcha drizzle. It has a delicious Bavarian cream filling with matcha soft serve. Whoa - so good! I liked getting the mini taiyaki because I wanted to share. My husband enjoyed their coffee cold float! Their coffee is from down the street, so it's local! And my daughter loved their chocolate taiyaki with Oreo crumble. Their soft serve is so creamy - yum! This place is for those that love treats and matcha on the sweeter side, not the bitter/hint of sweet. These people know how to make delicious sweets. We'll be back!
