Would be 5 stars except for communication problem re title. I stressed on several communications that I wanted the title the same as the car I was trading in. My son Stewart or me. Not and, but OR. Stressed in the chat, stressed in all communication before pick-up and during pick-up. I felt I was understood when I had to make copies of Stewart's license and send with other documents. Imagine my surprise when your paperwork had the car in my name only. The clerk at the courthouse said we would have to come back after the state sent us the title and then they would change it. We bought a warranty thinking we would be covered just in case. The entire purchasing experience was stressful and frustrating. Just when I thought we were finally finished with Carvana, another major issue arose. Two full weeks after I dropped off my trade-in and picked up my new vehicle, my credit union informed me that Carvana failed to pay off my credit union loan within the required 10-day payoff window. As a result, my account is now past due on a vehicle that has been in Carvana's possession for over 14 days. To make matters worse, my new loan funded Carvana more than three weeks ago. Throughout this ordeal, Carvana's customer advocates largely added to the stress rather than resolving issues or clearly explaining next steps. Problems went unresolved and communication was consistently poor. I would not recommend Carvana to anyone. The Carvana process is fundamentally broken. read more

After my car buying experience with Carvana, I cannot imagine buying a car anywhere else. Our old car developed transmission problems we couldn't afford to repair and we needed a car. My credit was weak but Carvana had exactly what I wanted at a great price and offered a good interest rate. Since I wasn't local they arranged delivery, provided for test drive and inspection, and were super nice. I even had a seven day trial period to drive the car and return it no questions asked. on Saturday January 15, 2021 I took delivery of a 2017 Cadillac XT5 from the Birmingham store in Montgomery, AL. The car is great the price is good, no issues. I got an equitable price for my trade-in. However, I was supposed to get the car in Orlando on January 9. I drove to Orlando on January 8, 450 miles. I got a text at 3 pm, car unavailable. I had to drive back 450 miles. Numerous calls and hold times, agreed to take delivery January 15 in Montgomery. I was given $500 rebate but charged around $479 to deliver in Montgomery. The exchange went okay, delivery was around 35 minutes late. Swapped cars, exchange was smooth. I was given a Bill of Sales, but no Temporary Tag or Registration. On closer examination, at home, discovered I had a jack and spare, no tire tool. I called, told to buy one and submit receipt. I did. Asked about registration, no one knows anything. On January 18, called and texted regarding registration, nothing. I can not drive without a temporary tag. Today, January 19, called, still no one knows. They cashed the $37k check (full price for car) and took a week to deliver the car and then hit my debit card for another $37k when they delivered.
