The staff is nice. The dr is nice and honest it seems. 3 stars cause they have a dog in the office that shows to be an emotional support animal. The dog is friendly but I find it really annoying and unsanitary when it's running around in the exam rooms with patients. It kept touching me and I'm not a huge fan of dogs to begin with :/ last place I want one is in a room with all the instruments that go into my mouth. I believe it doesn't shed but at the end of the day it's still a dog. 2nd it seems like getting a filling is impossible. The dr is months out for a basic filling I was told by the front desk. From the friendliness, to the promptness and the fact that they accept medical hmo and are open until 6pm (last appointment at 4pm) really made it a good experience. Beyond the practicalities, Patty at the front desk was so kind from the time I called in, to checking-in in person, she has a great attitude and friendly demeanor. He has a good touch for this type of work. Service has not been great. Purchased a mouth guard and was told that it would take 2 weeks to received. I received it in 6 months. Nobody followed up. When I had my teeth cleaned, the service felt rushed from both dentist and assistant. The assistant leaned on me while cleaning my teeth. They have a CT scanner, digital topography scanner, 3D printer and porcelain mill all in house. It's so convenient to be able to do everything in the same location without waiting. I hate the dentist. I am scared of the dentist. But the office staff as well as Dr. Abraham put my fears to rest. I had two bone graphs and two extractions yesterday. Not only was the treatment as painless as possible, but if I did feel anything or if Dr. Abraham thought I felt something he would ask me if I'm in pain. I did ask for more Novacaine and he promptly made sure that I got it. He was extremely gentle as gentle as he could be. And explained everything he was doing. I am blind and I have a guide dog. While, I didn't bring him with me, they asked about him. And where he was. I can't recommend this office enough. They're located in the plaza Avalon shopping center. The office is clean and bright. And the staff are very welcoming. If you are visually impaired, they will help you fill out forms and make you as comfortable as possible. I want to like Carson Dental because they seem to genuinely care; however, this was my experience. 1st visit, X-ray and cleaning: cleaning was not performed because they stated I needed a 2 session deep cleaning. The quote they gave me was $630. They asked for my pharmacy. I gave them the info for Amazon pharmacy which includes a number that the office can call if they can't find it in their system. They couldn't do that. I asked them to update my phone number since they had my husband's listed as mine. I watched them enter it into their system, but somehow, my husband was still contacted for the next appointment. 2nd visit, 1st half of deep clean: Required the entire amount which was now $740. I have never paid for all of the materials and work when only half was performed, but they required it. If I had died between treatments, my husband would have had to track them down for the money for unperformed work and materials. At the end, when the dentist was checking the assistant's work, I had to remind them to put the antibiotics into my gums. 3rd visit, 2nd half of deep clean: Everything went well. They scheduled me for a follow up cleaning on Sept 19th. Sept 19th, I called to cancel because I had Covid. They rescheduled to 10/1. 10/1: I showed up to the office after taking time off work, and they sent me home because they scheduled the cleaning too close the deep clean. On 10/1 I gave a 1 star review which the dentist quickly called me about. I found it upsetting that responding to a 1-star review was more important to them than their patients. They responded that they wanted my business and asked what they could do to rectify the situation. I don't think there's anything they can do to make me a satisfied customer. Question: How many of you out there dread going to the dentist? I know I'm not the only. From a scale of 1-10 of me not liking it, it's usually a 15. But Dr. Abrahams gives you a way different experience. I am a new patient and I've gone to 3 different dentists before heading to Dr. Abrahams office. The first thing that I noticed was the lobby. I've gone to many offices, where its disorganized and looks like its being held together by duck tape. The lobby here was clean, well kept, and very maintained. The front staff were very pleasant, helpful and were very reassuring to me as a new patient. As soon as I finished my paperwork, I was brought into my section where, I first met Dr. Abraham's staff. His team were helpful in making sure I was taken care of. They got me settled in and asked if there was anything I needed. Honestly, customer service is on point. Once Dr. Abrahams finally got the chance to meet me, he asked me what I was there for and explained in detail what I needed to get done. He did not try to sell me other treatments or procedures (like a car salesman). I did not feel pressured to make the decision, he was very understanding. At first I was hesitant because of the cost, but to be honest I was more worried about it getting worse and Dr. Abrahams assured me that, that was the only procedures I needed to get done. I appreciate a Dentist that tells it straight forward and lets you know what you need, and what happens if you don't get it addressed. Once I did agree to the procedures, I went to the office approx. 4 times to get everything completed. Scheduling my appointments were easy. Follow up reminders were always sent to my phone. Procedures we're not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I got 2 Crowns & a Root Canal within those 4 appointments. He makes sure while you're going through the procedure, that you're okay. He checks in on you to make sure you're not in pain. Unlike most dentist, he's very careful when he's in your mouth. His hands aren't heavy like some other doctors. Would I go back?
