I am writing this review because this business is deserving. I have been a healthcare professional for 34 years. I pride myself on giving quality care to my patients, so I instantly recognize it whenever I see or experience it. Dr. Mina Abraham and his staff are second to none in providing consistent quality dental care in the surrounding community. In my past dental history, I have not experienced anything that closely compares to the competent caring hands at Carson Dental. I am guilty of not being proficient in taking better care of my teeth. However, when I entered their doors, the warm, friendly staff did a great job greeting and ensuring the intake process went smoothly. This was my second visit. Like my first visit, Carson Dental was helpful in all the right ways. The office is straightforward, clean, and efficient. Their new patient and intake forms are minimized, and paper forms are replaced by iPads. The Dental Assistant working with Dr. Abraham called me into his work area where the magic happens. I was impressed by Dr. Abraham: his professionalism, bedside manner, knowledge, but most importantly to me, his skill set. He is truly a rock star. One who is passionate and dedicated to ensuring a positive presence and outcome. I don't like going into any dental office. However, I love knowing the experience will be a positive difference, and I am in excellent hands. Carson Dental delivers quality care and peace of mind. (Then add insult to injury, Bristol Dental of Paramount City not only ignored a potentially cancerous growth under my tongue for two months but tried to charge me when the surgery was done free of charge by my ENT. I recently moved to Carson from out of state and, after having some really bad dental work done in the past, I was nervous about finding a new dentist. Dr. Abraham at Carson Dental is probably one of the best dentists I've ever had! He's incredibly knowledgeable and straightforward--he took the time to explain all my options and what needed to be done. The staff is nice. The dr is nice and honest it seems. 3 stars cause they have a dog in the office that shows to be an emotional support animal. The dog is friendly but I find it really annoying and unsanitary when it's running around in the exam rooms with patients. It kept touching me and I'm not a huge fan of dogs to begin with :/ last place I want one is in a room with all the instruments that go into my mouth. I believe it doesn't shed but at the end of the day it's still a dog. 2nd it seems like getting a filling is impossible. The dr is months out for a basic filling I was told by the front desk. Very happy with my first visit here. From the friendliness, to the promptness and the fact that they accept medical hmo and are open until 6pm (last appointment at 4pm) really made it a good experience. Beyond the practicalities, Patty at the front desk was so kind from the time I called in, to checking-in in person, she has a great attitude and friendly demeanor. I instantly felt welcomed, even when I had called in to book this appointment. Randy the dental hygienist was so kind and gentle while flossing and cleaning which I really appreciated. He has a good touch for this type of work. (I even started to nap during my cleaning...like what! that's never happened before) Dr. Abraham was very kind as well, he wants you to have as much of a comfortable experience as you possibly can while at the dentist. Dr Abraham is legitimately the best around!! I recently went to another dentist for a root canal and it was so painful. I suffered for days so when I went to Dr Abraham...I was super nervous, specifically when he said I needed to remove a tooth. But he reassured me that he would make it pain free and promised to take good care of me....and let me tell you...he delivered every promise!! Through the procedure he kept checking in on me, reassuring me of every step he was taking and made sure I was never in pain! After I left...he made sure to give me detailed instructions and gave me pain meds. I literally felt no pain and only took the meds for 1 day after! Service has not been great. Purchased a mouth guard and was told that it would take 2 weeks to received. I received it in 6 months. Nobody followed up. When I had my teeth cleaned, the service felt rushed from both dentist and assistant. The assistant leaned on me while cleaning my teeth. I went to Dr. Abraham for the first time last week and I was blown away by the cutting edge technology in their office! They have a CT scanner, digital topography scanner, 3D printer and porcelain mill all in house. It's so convenient to be able to do everything in the same location without waiting. He is making Invisalign for me and it's such an easy process. I also had the best cleaning of my life, my wife was shocked at how much cleaner my teeth were after one session with him. I hate the dentist. I am scared of the dentist. But the office staff as well as Dr. Abraham put my fears to rest. I had two bone graphs and two extractions yesterday. Not only was the treatment as painless as possible, but if I did feel anything or if Dr. Abraham thought I felt something he would ask me if I'm in pain. I did ask for more Novacaine and he promptly made sure that I got it. He was extremely gentle as gentle as he could be. And explained everything he was doing. I am blind and I have a guide dog. While, I didn't bring him with me, they asked about him. And where he was. I can't recommend this office enough. They're located in the plaza Avalon shopping center. The office is clean and bright. And the staff are very welcoming. If you are visually impaired, they will help you fill out forms and make you as comfortable as possible. I want to like Carson Dental because they seem to genuinely care; however, this was my experience. 1st visit, X-ray and cleaning: cleaning was not performed because they stated I needed a 2 session deep cleaning. The quote they gave me was $630. They asked for my pharmacy. I gave them the info for Amazon pharmacy which includes a number that the office can call if they can't find it in their system. They couldn't do that. I asked them to update my phone number since they had my husband's listed as mine. I watched them enter it into their system, but somehow, my husband was still contacted for the next appointment. 2nd visit, 1st half of deep clean: Required the entire amount which was now $740. I have never paid for all of the materials and work when only half was performed, but they required it. If I had died between treatments, my husband would have had to track them down for the money for unperformed work and materials. At the end, when the dentist was checking the assistant's work, I had to remind them to put the antibiotics into my gums. 3rd visit, 2nd half of deep clean: Everything went well. They scheduled me for a follow up cleaning on Sept 19th. Sept 19th, I called to cancel because I had Covid. They rescheduled to 10/1. 10/1: I showed up to the office after taking time off work, and they sent me home because they scheduled the cleaning too close the deep clean. On 10/1 I gave a 1 star review which the dentist quickly called me about. I found it upsetting that responding to a 1-star review was more important to them than their patients. They responded that they wanted my business and asked what they could do to rectify the situation. I don't think there's anything they can do to make me a satisfied customer. I needed dental implants so I made an appointment with Carson Dental. I went in to this dental office not expecting too much and received a free initial consultation. The staff is friendly and Dr Abraham explained to me what my options are. Dr Abraham is the oral surgeon who is always in this office so I don't have to go to another dental office for an oral surgeon. I ended up getting my 3 dental implants fron Dr. Abraham and I've never been so elated at the dental work he completed. I'm able to chew again on the right side of my mouth. Dr. Abraham and the entire staff are so welcoming. I came in as as emergency due to a root canal. Dr. Abraham was able to explain in detail about the process of the what we needed to do for the root canal. I did mention that I was going out of town in the next couple of weeks and even though the schedule was tight he was able to get me in to do my root canal which was NOT PAINFUL and get my crown done just before my trip.
