I made an emergency appointment at this office and was scheduled for 3:00 PM. It's now 4:30 PM and I still haven't been seen. I asked the front desk when I would be called, and was told I was "next"--yet two other patients with scheduled appointments walked in and were taken in before me. I understand that emergencies and delays happen, but the lack of communication and respect for my time is unacceptable. Ugh, a root canal. My dentist sent me here for some imaging of my tooth as I was having pain. I'd had an RC on it ~10 years ago, but apparently they can fail? So, I found myself nervous as heck in the waiting room of RootVision Endo earlier this week. My initial interactions were good - the office staff is friendly, knowledgable and patient. I filled out the necessary paperwork, had the tooth x-rayed, and then we did a CT scan. When I finally met Dr. Sagong, he was polite and professional, but a bit... I don't even know the word, like I was just another patient he had to get through. I hadn't been mentally prepared to hear that we would do the root canal that day, so I considered returning another day, but I figured I was there and would just get it over with. Everything was explained to me by the staff, I paid, and waited very nervously. I'm giving Dr. Sagong the benefit of the doubt here - he'd probably been seeing patients all day and was ready to go home. He just seemed to be in a bad mood and unintentionally took it out on me. It was a very rough ~45 minutes and I was never asked how I was doing or if I felt any pain. I'm so grateful to live in an era where we can get numbed up and taken care of with relatively little pain or discomfort, and that Endodontists exist to do all of this, but it's still a very unpleasant situation for the patient and one where being gentle makes a world of difference. There was also a miscommunication between myself and one of the dental techs, and I was not prescribed pain medication. When I arrived at Rite Aid and learned I'd only been given antibiotics, I wanted to cry. My mouth was starting to hurt pretty badly. I'm sure on another day or maybe earlier in the day I would've had a better experience, but I left somewhat traumatized. read more

My first one star review... I personally own a small business and yelp reviews are extremely important to my business, so I know that this carries some weight... Was in the waiting room for one hour before I got called back. Once I was in the chair within five minutes somebody came in and took x-rays. Two minutes after that they came back to up sell me on the $200 CT scan which is not covered by insurance, and you have to pay out-of-pocket. I asked a lot of questions that I think made them nervous and they said, let me get the doctor. Doctor came in and assured me that he could not make the correct decision without the 3-D CT scan. So I obliged and we did the scan costing me $200. Then I sat back in the chair for another 20 minutes waiting for the doctor to come back in after reviewing the scan. He did not even show me the new scan and just reverted back to the original x-ray saying all the same things he did before. He talked to me through what I needed and basically gave me a 50-50 chance of saving my tooth. Few minutes later he came in with a $1300 bill (that is after 80% is taken care of by my insurance) to complete the procedure. I told him I needed a few minutes to make a phone call. Called my general dentist and he said that I should leave. With a 50-50 chance of even being able to save the tooth it doesn't make sense to gamble $1300. Going to be looking for a second opinion to see what needs to get done. Pretty bummed out and frustrated about the whole situation, and that it took three hours! read more

I absolutely hate the dentist, but this place makes going as pleasant of an experience as possible. The staff are friendly, the office is clean and modern. Dr Sagong displays professionalism and confidence alongside his fantastic bedside manor. I had absolutely no concerns at all letting him drill my teeth. The Office Manager Rocio also deserves a big shout-out for helping me understand my bill and insurance, and for taking the time to treat me like an actual person. While I think this place is very nice in terms of staff & the pretty new building it's in, the 3D/CT scan thing they have going..... no thank you. I would not recommend coming here if you are referred by your dentist, especially if you are poor and living paycheck to paycheck like me! See if your home office offers the service themselves or get a different referral. I was referred by my dentist for a root canal, I have a cracked tooth from a cavity. I understand them needing to do their own assessment, but they will refuse to do the service if you do not pay $200 out of pocket for the 3D scan. It is NOT something that insurance covers. Their excuse was that I have "long roots." But honestly, I think they'll find any reason to perform one on literally anyone. My home office made this assessment without a magical 3D scan. I would also like to say that the male receptionist is very rushed and talks way too fast. When my name was called, I thought he was explaining what they're going to do and walk me through the process, but I didn't catch half of what he said from how fast he was talking. This was apparently when he mentioned the $200 fee for 3D scans. After the assessment, they said they would get back to me in 4-5 business days to let me know when my insurance approves the actual root canal. It took 2 weeks. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- in response to the owner: thanks for the response, however, my general dentist does in fact perform root canals, the procedure just takes longer for them which is why I was referred to rootvision. they were able to diagnose the issue and what I needed done without the CT scan. as for the "some" insurance that covers the scan, cool. that's great. I have the "poor people" insurance through the state, which 99% of the time covers anything I need done regarding dental & medical. which brings me back to warning those who can't afford to give $200. and last but not least, your receptionist was the one that told me 4-5 business days. I don't know if you're aware, but finding any sort of information out regarding insurance through the STATE, is a lot of the time extremely difficult or impossible. most of the time I rely on my receptionists to pass along information because most of the time that's the only way i'll get any. he seemed very busy and rushed which isn't his fault but it's important to properly explain things at the end of the day. read more

Professionalism! That the first word that comes to mind when you walk into this office. From the front desk receptionist to the dental hygienists in the back, this office keeps everything relaxing and fun. I was super apprehensive going in for my root canal but the staff quickly put me at ease. I was told that I would need a unnecessary X-ray and I told them that I had already taken. When I told the dentist that I had already taken it, I was not pressured to take another one. An added plus is that there parking in the back of the building, so no tickets! The hygienists were so nice and very funny. My young and handsome dentist was so quick with my procedure that before I knew I was done and on my way. My bill was only $200. If you have to have any dental procedure done, and we all know that we eventually will, I would suggest Nu Vision Endo. read more

Great that this place has such stellar reviews and all, and if you received good care, well, that's just the cheese and I'm happy for you. I need a root canal. The pain has been brutal. I walked in today and was met with the ineffable charm and the reassuring smile of the receptionist, Rosie. Turns out that even though I had given them all my info several days in advance - from both primary and backup insurance - they didn't bother taking care of getting the insurance verified and they couldn't do it on the spot. I was told specifically by Blue Shield that I could go there and that it was approved. Rather than get upset, I said: "Book me for 3:30 Monday, and that will give me time to sort this insurance stuff. Just please call in some antibiotics because I am running short ." Then a light goes off, I could see the glow of greed light up those two dim and duplicitous eyeballs of hers. I suppose she has some sort of antennae that sense an easy mark, or maybe just the presence of filthy lucre. She says, "Why don't you do the consultation today to get it over with." I said that this would mean two visits and having to pay the whole cost of a consultation when I do not need x-rays or a diagnosis. They can get that from the other dentist, or we can do it when I come back and it will be covered. I am standing there, in pain, having taken the day off work, and after she hears about what a nightmare my insurance problems have been, she just flat out tells me I have to cough up for a consultation just to get a few extra antibiotics. Which are not a controlled substance and do not require a visit. Look it up. So I told her it was unethical, and that I would report her and the clinic to the dental board. She must be used to hearing that because she just said "Mr. K...." Blah, blah, more incompetent gibberish. Of all the horrible treatment I have received from dental professionals, this is the worst, by a mile. Who the hell would put a person through this when they are in dire straits and suffering? To extort them? I am not in the business of dashing off angry reviews on a lark. You can check that. And Rosie, you and Dr. Do Very Little, whoever you are, go $$$$ yourselves. This dental office is great. I was referred by my dentist after a broken wire was left during root canal. Dr Sagong explained all the possibilities and what procedure he will be doing. Dr. Sagong provided excellent results on my two root canals. Allowed me to bypass the traditional rubber mouth guard (which usually gives me a gag reflex). Assistant was very accommodating with pillow and adjusting the protective glasses. Generous of them to accept the less expensive Liberty Dental insurance which most other endodontists do not. Ouch!! First, this is my second time here so you would think that my experience would be better. Unfortunately, I have more than a few Root Canals due to some old silver fillings that decayed and needed to be replaced. The dentist was extra heavy handed this time around pulling on my jaw as if he is trying to tear open a coconut with his bare hands! But my real issue is this bogus Cone Bean CT exam for which you have to pay $200 out of pocket as most insurance companies will not cover it. Of course, I paid the amount on the day of the procedure, but then they tried to bill my insurance company as well. Don't go here unless you desire your mouth to be pulled in various directions and also to be overbilled. So, disappointing as my first experience was not this bad. My general practice dentist was to install a permanent crown on a molar but i couldn't go back there for permanent crown as i was having pain issues on "other teeth". As it happens Dr. Sadong found out that that particular molar needed a rooth canal as being the cause of my referred pain! As I was about to lose faith in dentists, here comes Dr. Sadong. I went to a different endodontist before seeing Dr Sagong. I am so grateful I didn't stay at the other place - if I did I'd have lost a tooth (or maybe two) Dr Sagong looked at options and was honest with me about the success rate of treatment. I went with a retreatment of the root canal that had been done elsewhere. The odds were not great for success as there was an infection. Dr Sagong did a great job and saved the tooth. She helped me out with a good price, especially since I told her I didn't have insurance (trust me I shopped around looking for the right place and price since root canals can be expensive af). I was referred to Endo vision from my primary care dentist through Delta dental. First of all it was a beautiful, newly remodeled facility. Incredibly clean, incredibly professional.
