(3rd procedure). 6/14/2024 3rd times the charm I had a consultation, on a Thursday, a mouth scan was done, questions and concerns were addressed, and payment was gone over with me. The staff was great and did everything they could to assure I know my cost before hand, helped me get my prescription, and they were able to get an appointment the next day. 6/15/2024-day of procedure (Friday) Everything was very organized and went smoothly. The office always looks great/clean and Dr Silegy, the staff helped me to feel comfortable, and everything went well from start to finish. The tooth extraction took about 30-40 minutes and I couldn't feel a thing; after being sedated a bit. I was a little drowsy when they finished and after about 20 minutes recovery I went home. Fast forward a month and a half later... I went back for my second molar extraction and I'm so sad to say I was disappointed. No personal touch! Doctor was very rough. Very dismissive. Granted it was more complicated than the first procedure, however he never checked on me afterwards to make sure I was alright. He even said to his assistant "she knows where we are she can call if she has any problems" as if I wasn't in the room. After the procedure he up and left. They took a CT scan to "make sure nothing was left behind" but then sent me home immediately after without checking the images. (Not even we'll call you later to let you know the results?...) NO follow-up call the next day. Now, Day 3 I'm still swollen and in extreme pain. Hopefully that's normal. But as far as the treatment and overall office, I'm disappointed. 10/10 If I could give this 10 stars, I would! From the consultation, to the actual surgery, and the healing process -- the entire process was beyond easy and comforting from beginning to end. I was extremely terrified of removing ALL 4 of my wisdom teeth because everyone's horror stories. I did NOT experience any pain whatsoever and was actually out and about the next day. I had the procedure done Friday and went about my weekend with little to no discomfort and some swelling. Everyone I came across was actually in shock of how I was like nothing...considering. The staff was beyond nice and did everything to make me feel at ease too! They're so friendly and helpful. I even got my lashes done the week of, and Dr Silegy made sure not ruin them lollll. I was referred to Dr. S for failed root canal procedure to extract my painful molar. The office staff were kind and the office is well appointed. During my molar extraction I was given plenty of novicain and the process seemed to go as expected, he packed the gum where he removed the tooth and gave me instructions for aftercare. The following day the packing came out, and I had a dry socket (an area of exposed nerves) I was in quite a bit of pain. Dr. S's offices was closed for the day, but he did arrange to come in later to help me. He arrived in shorts and a t-shirt, put me in a dental chair and proceeded to put more packing on my EXPOSED DRY SOCKET. I was given NO numbing agents! He did not notice I was struggling and crying while he was doing this. I felt/feel very disrespected by the lack of compassion from this person who is a medical professional. He did help me on his day OFF, but I don't believe that gives him the right to outright cruelty. I have no dental insurance and paid cash up front for all services rendered. Double whammy. read more

I had scheduled for the consultation and extraction the same day because I wanted to get it over with and let me tell you, I remember talking to Dr. Silegy and his staff about what I do for work, and then the next thing I know he is done and they were already setting me up in recovery. My boyfriend said it was maybe 30 minutes FOR A PARTIALLY IMPACTED TOOTH! I can't thank Dr. Silegy and the staff enough for such a positive experience. Yelp Review for Dr. Silegy I was dealing with issues from my upper teeth and it was determined that the best solution would be to remove them and replace them with an upper denture. I was sent to Dr. Silegy office for the extractions. What a class act this office is. Joanne is very personable. She answers the phone, among other things. She was very helpful getting me the appointment and greeted me when I arrived. She checked me in and then had Jose take me for the X-ray. I was then taken back to the room where I was going to have the extractions. While I was getting prepped, Lindsay helped Jose. They put numbing gel in my mouth. It took about 5 minutes and I was completely numb and now ready for Dr. Silegy. He spoke to me while he began removing my teeth. He was reassuring, telling me I was doing great. The surgery went off without a hitch. Lastly, I met Renee and she said she'd be calling me to check in on me and see how I was doing. As I walked out of the office, Gloria appeared. I need to schedule a call with her regarding financing for implants. The contact I had with everyone was very pleasant. Buyer beware. My child had a procedure at this office, that went fine but the billing has been a disaster. We were informed by the office that our dental insurance would cover a certain amount and then later were hit by a nice big surprise bill after already paying a great deal upfront. If I could give this office zero stars I would. This office is not a preferred provider for any insurance company. They also managed to take this review down! Dr. Silegy and his team is amazing! I was 17 weeks pregnant when my last impacted wisdom tooth collapsed a few weeks ago when I was flossing my teeth. I went to see my dentist and was referred to Dr. Silegy. I had my consultation with Dr. Silegy and he was so sweet, confident and reassuring that I felt a lot better about my extraction. After the consultation, he scheduled me for an extraction a couple of weeks later since I was not experiencing any pain. Unfortunately, only after a week I started feeling pain and the office was able to squeeze me in right after the 4th of July weekend. However, Dr. Rutherford was the one who performed my extraction and he was so kind and gentle throughout the whole procedure. He would tell me exactly what he was doing and what was going on so I won't be nervous. They really paid attention to my comfort level and made sure that I was not experiencing any pain. I also wanted to give a big shout out and thank you to the nursing and receptionist staff. Rosemary, Vanessa and one more girl but I forgot her name. They were so sweet and tried their best to make me feel at ease and comfortable. We went to see 4 oral surgeons before going with Dr. Silegy and we are SO glad we did. He knew exactly what to do and executed his plan perfectly. He was amazingly fast. This review is based solely on first impressions. Which, when you're being sedated and having your gums cut open matter to me. I called the office phone 2 days in a row to schedule xrays and get the process started to get my wisdom teeth out. Day one, said they were closed, day 2. I left a message w what I need done and my contact information. That was a week ago. Now, if you can't manage to call a patient back, how can you be trusted to put me under and cut my face open? Dr. Silegy did a great job fixing different dentist completely negligent job of what should have been a routine crown, but ended up with the loss of my #18 molar. I was insanely apprehensive about having the molar ripped out of my mouth because it has caused me so much pain over the last 12 months! the only appointment I was apple for a ASAP extraction prevented me from using anesthesia. Once numbed up and Dr. Silegy was doing his thing he pulled away for a moment when I asked "how long do you think this will take" his response was "how long will it take you to safely get out of the chair ??? You're all done buddy!!!" I would say the entire apt took 20 min, the extraction took less than 5 min. 25/10 stars! I'm an experienced neurologist and live in Beverly Hills. Several years ago I found that I needed two dental implants. I consulted with a few oral surgeons in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas but did not feel comfortable going ahead. Happily, a work colleague referred me to Dr. Silegy, who has offices in Long Beach, CA. He expertly placed the implants under local anesthesia in just a few minutes. The procedure was done perfectly and I had absolutely no pain during or since. His office staff were friendly, helpful, and organized. Dr. Silegy personally emailed me after the procedure and was readily available for the few questions that my wife had about after-care. He has a warm personality and is very easy to communicate with. Before the implants I had actually not realized that Dr. Silegy is an internationally recognized expert in the field, and gives lectures around the world to teach other oral surgeons. If you live in the Southern California area, I would strongly recommend that you take the drive to Long Beach and consult with Dr. Silegy. I was referred to Dr. Silegy by an endodontist on the same floor. The last extraction I had was 45 years prior and it was extremely traumatic so I wasn't exactly thrilled with the prospect of another one. However, there was so much professionalism the first time I interacted with the office, I knew this was going to be a good fit. After a couple of scheduling glitches, the surgeon was finally able to see me. His assistant prepared me well for the extraction, both informatively and procedurally.
