Dr Lee is awesome! He educates patients throughly which I greatly appreciate. My Dentist retired last year; I'm a new client of Dr. Lee's practice referred by a close friend, and extremely pleased. He even performed my routine periodontal cleaning, and bonus...he has a sense of humor! I'll keep coming back :-)

As someone in the medical field with severe dental anxiety, I appreciate Dr. Ha's patience and understanding. He takes the time to answer all my questions and is gentle with my teeth. Well, unfortunately, I have to UPDATE my review. Not overreacting or sensationalizing. Almost…read moreeverything I said before is true, but I have to backpedal on and draw into question the integrity I originally experienced in Dr. Ha. An explosion of holistic health approaches are happening in our world. From nutrition (eating Natural, Organic, avoiding seed-oils and sugar, etc) to fascinating research on "grounding." When I told Dr. Ha I did not want any more root canals, he refused to work with me. He became agitated when I mentioned the Netflix film that examines the practice of (root canals) leaving tooth material/flesh inside someone's jawbone to rot with bacteria. Despite logical basic scientific premise, he gave me the, "[There is not one scientific study published that proves root canals are bad]" kind of argument. Go ahead, call me a conspiracist, but remember me when you see what everyone else is waking up to. Health Care is more accurately "Sick Care" and doctors, Big Pharma, and Insurers don't want to change anything because it makes them too much money. It's why public trust is eroding. It is so blaringly obvious that money is more important than my health. Btw, my new holistic dentist in TJ agrees wholeheartedly and is 70% cheaper.

But in this case, I feel it's important to share. I came to this office years ago after moving to Cerritos, right before my wedding, simply looking for a new dentist and a routine cleaning. They had great reviews, which is why I trusted them. From the start, I was told I had extensive issues--multiple cavities needed to be redone and several crowns were recommended. This was surprising to me, as I've consistently gone to the dentist and had never been told I needed such drastic work. Still, I trusted their assessment. The procedures that followed were some of the most painful dental experiences I've ever had. They took hours, felt extremely aggressive, and left me in severe pain afterward--far beyond what I've ever experienced with dental work. I have a high pain tolerance, and this felt very wrong. What was most frustrating was what happened next. I returned multiple times explaining that I couldn't sleep, eat, or function due to the pain. Each time, my concerns were dismissed and attributed to things like not flossing (umm I couldn't floss because of the extreme pain), which didn't make sense given the level of pain I was in. After pushing back repeatedly--especially with my wedding just days away--I insisted something was seriously wrong and requested further evaluation. It turned out I needed three root canals as a result of their prior work. Separately, the crowns that were placed caused ongoing issues. Eating anything with texture would cause gum pain, and I noticed unusual gaps that trapped food. When I brought this up, I was told the only solution was to redo the crowns at additional cost. My crowns also came off. Later, I happened to see a different dentist at the same office (a female provider who may have been temporary), and she immediately noted that the crowns had been placed at an awkward angle. She corrected them, and since then, I've had no pain and no further issues such as crowns falling off. I ultimately switched dentists and have not needed any major dental work since--just routine cleanings every six months, with no recurring problems. Based on what I went through--particularly the aggressive treatment, the outcome, and the dismissal of my concerns--I feel it's important for others to have full context before making a decision.

To make sure he was the right doctor I wanted to go to. As I had bad experiences with prior dentists with care and some disregarding pronouns. Hopefully, I don't run into any of these issues here. After back and forth with pricing and patient reviews from different dentist. I found I was able to get a decent price for my Invisalign with my insurance here. From my observation from going here for about a year. His office is clean and his team is professional when they check you in, and sending reminders of appts or rescheduling. Mornings are usually their busiest. Might have to wait depending how busy they are. In my experience for my check up visits, Im usually in and out (Which is nice). My check up appts are between 6-8 weeks. I usually see his techs. They did my attachments and removal. And receive my next set of retainers and some chewies. From the prior set of attachments two of them came out but they said it was fine. One of my attachment removal is still a little sensitive think it might have been grinded down a little too much. I can see some of my teeth are slowly but surely getting straight. I've seen Dr.Cho a handful of times with the consultation, grinding for gapping teeth and two or three of my check ups. Two more appt and hopefully I won't need it anymore sets. I understand their office is busy. But, more checks from the Dr through the invisalign process about progress and concerns would have been more reassuring.

I went in expecting a straightforward procedure that had already been evaluated through multiple X-rays beforehand. At no point during any of those prior appointments was I told that I would need additional services outside of what my insurance covered. What happened instead was honestly shocking. It wasn't until I was already in the chair, hooked up to all the equipment, and literally seconds away from being put under anesthesia that one of their assistants approached me with consent forms for "additional services" totaling $1,600. This was the first time I had ever heard about these "needed" services. They told me my insurance didn't cover these services and that the surgeon would not perform the procedure unless I agreed to pay. Being put in that position, vulnerable, prepped for surgery, and then pressured to sign forms for thousands of dollars that were never previously disclosed, it felt completely inappropriate. When I refused and pushed back, the price suddenly dropped from $1,600 to $550 after someone went back to speak with them. That alone raised serious red flags. If these charges were legitimate and necessary, why were they never mentioned during the multiple X-rays and consultations leading up to surgery? Why wait until I was strapped into the chair and about to go under anesthesia? I ended up leaving and sitting in my car while my primary dentist tried to sort it out. I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there after how the situation was handled. Now I have to delay getting my wisdom teeth removed for another month or two which is extremely inconvenient considering that me and my partner both took time off of work to make time for the surgery that was supposed to happen. This experience felt like a last-minute pressure tactic to get additional money out of a patient who was already in a vulnerable position. Transparency and informed consent should happen before the day of surgery! Certainly not when someone is seconds away from being sedated. I would strongly advise anyone considering this office to get every single charge in writing well in advance and question anything that hasn't been clearly disclosed upfront. Extremely disappointed.

I was suggested a deep cleaning which would cost $700 and $300 out of pocket I turned this down due to my main concern being wisdom teeth pain which I communicated. They then proceed to suggest Invisalign and a consult for fixing my overbite which I understand they are doing a check up and providing solutions for things that need fixing. I proceeded to turn down the $300 deep cleaning and opt out of Invisalign/braces consult and asked for a referral to a wisdom teeth specialist so I left that day without a cleaning and without a referral since they said they would get back to me. I went back in later that week or a week later and asked for the referral which I never got and still have yet to receive. Luckily I got an appointment at a different dentist who not only did a routine cleaning that day but scheduled me for a wisdom teeth extraction as well without me having to keep asking for the care I needed.
