Dr. Lee has been my dentist for about 3+ years now and he's incredible. Embarrassingly, I went several years without going to the dentist because I was scared and had a handful of negative experiences. Dr. Lee and his team made me feel comfortable right from the start. they were incredibly patient and kind with me with everything from explaining my insurance coverage to explaining exactly what care I needed and why (because my past experiences had me nervous and skeptical). Dr. Lee's team not only took care of my regular cleanings, but got me through a necessary root canal I'd been avoiding, and he took out all of my wisdom teeth - truly it speaks to the care and compassion of his team that I was able to overcome my personal hurdles in such a short period of time. they were always very thorough, helpful, and informative. read more

Because of congenital teeth issues and bad insurance (not accepted by this practice), I can't use Dr. Lee for all my dental care, but I've definitely been very satisfied with the work I've had there. I first saw him in the early 2000s, and the work he did then is still going strong. The more recent work is also great. I've had a couple of veneers, some root canals and crowns, and regular fillings. The front office and all the staff are personable and professional, and Dr. Lee is very good at his job and explains everything very well. When I've had a lot of work done at once, they checked on me over the following days, making sure everything was healing as it should. I haven't been seen by a dentist in over 5 years so of course, I am long overdue for dental work. My previous dentist is located far from where I live so I looked up a dental office nearby and Kenneth Lee DDS was one of the first offices to pop up. The staff are very knowledgeable and experienced. They are great with patients like me who are basically fearful of dentists. The receptionist did an awesome job at getting me in the same day for a check up. I've never had X-rays taken on me before since I was young at the time but Stephanie took them in a quick and efficient manner. Dr. Lee was very thorough with the exam and in diagnosing the issues present. It turned out that I needed a deep cleaning due to not having any professional cleaning in the past. The hygienist Amanda was very gentle and made sure that I didn't have any discomfort during the procedure. The same went for Dr. Lee when it came to extracting my wisdom teeth. I came here to get a dental check up and cleaning. It was my first time at this dentist as I was new to the area. The doctor showed me my ex-rays and explained that I had tooth decay and cavaties, but during our conversation, he was not up front about how many cavaties I actually had. After his spiel, I asked him how many cavities i needed filled just to confirm as he never stated an exact number during my consult. He then replied with "*insert receptionist first name here* will tell you when you check out." That was a huge red flag to me. Shouldn't the doctor be able to tell me how many cavaties I have right then and there as he's analyzing my x rays and teeth? I spoke with the receptionist after per his direction and she told me I needed 6 cavities filled. I immediately thought this was suspicious based on my previous conversation with the doctor. Well, my suspicions were correct as I went to get a 2nd opinion from a reputable dentist and I actually only had 2 cavities that needed filled! So unethical. :( The dental hygienist was also super rough and not friendly at all. The girl who took my ex rays also seemed super inexperienced and it took her over 30 minutes to take my ex rays because she couldn't get it right. Super shady dentist practice. I have been coming here for a couple of months now for some dental work I had been putting off due to COVID-19. I was initially apprehensive due to the ongoing pandemic, but even before arriving I was happy with the precautions they were taking. After filling out a form a few days before my appointment, I confirmed again that I haven't had symptoms, got some hand sanitizer and my temperature scanned upon arrival. I have been very happy with all the services I have had, and follow ups to make sure I feel ok. After receiving a dental implant, I had some questions and the staff were able to contact me and clarify everything right away. Having just been again today, I was surprised to see that Dr Lee also have me a Christmas present on the way out. Everyone here is so nice and the place is so clean and impeccable. This is one of the best dentists I have been to, they couldn't have made me or my wife feel more comfortable, and have helped us out with any paper work we needed for insurance purposes straight away. read more

I had an amazing experience going to this dental office. Maddy was able to schedule me an appointment promptly. Stephanie was careful when taking my X-rays. Dr lee was very thorough in examining my X-rays and telling me what the issues were. He was very polite in assessing the state of my teeth, which was reassuring to me especially because I hadn't been in a dental office in over 2 years. As for my cleaning, the hygienist took very good care of me. When I would normally go for my cleaning it would be painful and my gums would ache during the cleaning, but Amanda was both careful and thorough in her method. All the positive reviews are accurate. I was a little nervous switching to a new dentist because I had been burned by my previous dentist. My previous dentist performed a bad root canal and also gave me a horrible crown that I believe ultimately led to the decay of my tooth. Dr Lee is knowledgeable. I like how he takes the extra time to explain the specifics of your case. I had to have an implant done that might have required an expensive sinus lift. He warned me that it might be a possibility, but he wouldn't know until he got in there. I was right at the threshold in terms of millimeters and he just wanted to make sure I got the job done right. He determined there was more than enough room for the implant during the procedure and saved me a lot of money. It was refreshing to know he cared about the quality of his work, but also cared about saving me money. It was a huge relief to say the least! I highly recommend him! He's my new dentist. read more

I went into this office with the idea that they were on my "in-network" per what I was old on the phone. After consult, it was found I needed a root canal and it was around 2,000.00 for service. They maxed out my insurance and then charged me another 1,000 out of pocket, which I was okay with. The work was done and was painless and the end result is amazing. This is where it gets bad - Today I received my EOB from my insurance and I was told they are "out-of-network" and that they over charged me by 800.00 - According to my EOB I should have paid 86.00 out of pocket, not 961.00. The insurance company stated that because they are a premier office, they can charge whatever they want. This is BS - I feel I was wronged and they took my money. Because of their shady practice, I will never go back, regardless of the quality. THE DENTIST AND HIS STAFF ARE ONLY AFTER YOUR MONEY. read more

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Lee after finding him on Yelp. During the initial consultation, I was asking questions about how often he removed wisdom teeth and his responses were defensive and at times non-responsive to the question I asked. I was honestly trying to get some information to put myself at ease, not attacking his capability as a dentist. I thought I asked him in a friendly way, but maybe it was my fault. Regardless, I've had crowns and root canals with dentists who are much more receptive to questions and happy to answer. When I went in for the procedure he got it done quickly, but maybe a tad too quickly. He began working on a tooth that wasn't fully numb. Needless to say it didn't feel great. When he restarted it was fine, however I was apprehensive and tense due to the feeling from the first try lingering in my mind. This was after I had given him feedback that the side didn't feel quite as numb as the other side. I understand that numbing someone isn't an exact science, but I've got a lot of work done with other dentists where this was never a problem. An overall fine experience, but not the best I've had with a dentist. read more

I work in Long Beach and was looking for a dentist in the area, so I decided to try Dr. Lee based on the previous Yelp reviews. I was very happy that I did. Dr. Lee and his staff are very friendly and professional. They worked with my busy schedule in setting up appointments and the waiting time was very minimal. As a bonus they even have one of those over-the-head personal movie players, and I got to watch Lord of the Rings while having a procedure done! This took my focus away from what was happening in my mouth, which is a very good thing. Other random notes: Dr. Lee took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all of my questions, including even drawing diagrams for me. No parking lot but there is ample street parking right by the office. The exam rooms look out onto the golf course. I was able to print and fill out the required forms ahead of time from Dr. Lee's website, which saved time. I honestly do not have a single complaint about Dr. Lee and would highly recommend him to my family and friends. read more

We were a bit hesitant to seek out dental care because of COVID, but Dr. Lee's office takes every precaution to keep patients and employees safe during the pandemic. In addition to the confidence of knowing that the office is clean and safe, we were given complete confidence in Dr. Lee's expertise as he was able to completely map out my fiance's extensive dental journey and execute with no complications. We started coming to the office around August of this year knowing my fiance needed major dental work done, but didn't have a plan to proceed. Dr. Lee quickly diagnosed the issues and created a path forward to fix them. They informed us of all the costs and procedures that were required before any of the work started, so there were no surprises and I was able to sort out the finances ahead of time. All in all, it has been a very pleasant process for a not-so pleasant health issue during a not-at-all pleasant time. Back this past February, I had a tiny piece of my tooth fall off after biting a tortilla chip at around 8:00 pm . My sister had been a patient at Dr. Lee , and I kept putting off making the change to find a new dentist until the tortilla chip had a different plan ;) ! I emailed Dr. Lee 's office via the link on their website , and the next morning Clara called me and set up my appointment for the next day at 11:00 . Such a fast response , courteous, and was very respectful of my " dentist anxiety fear " . Fast forward to the procedure.... I needed a crown , Dr.Lee explained EVERY detail to me .... what to expect , why the crown that I currently had is different from the one he would be doing ..... I let him do his thing and all I can say is that If perhaps you are reading this and you know you either need or might need a crown ...... THIS is your DENTIST!
