I hadn't been to a dentist in over 5 years, so I was pretty nervous about making an appointment. From the moment I called, the experience was great. They were able to get me scheduled for the very next day, which I really appreciated. When I arrived, I was seen right away. The team immediately started my X-rays, and as soon as those were completed, the doctor came in for the examination. She was very thorough, clearly explained her findings, and took the time to discuss her recommendations without making me feel overwhelmed. What stood out most was how efficient the entire visit was. Everything moved quickly and smoothly, but I never felt rushed. More importantly, nobody made me feel embarrassed or judged for not having seen a dentist in 5 years. Erika was also wonderful. She went over the breakdown of charges clearly and professionally, and I never felt pressured into purchasing or proceeding with anything I wasn't ready for. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. The staff was friendly, professional, and respectful. I actually look forward to coming back for my future dental care. I wish I had looked up Dr. Jesmine's license prior to my visit. She has a public reprimand for gross negligence. I went in for a routine cleaning and they tried to upsell me on a $10k treatment plan that included wasting an hour on trying to sell me Invisalign. I had braces as a teenager so my teeth are already straight but they tried to convince me that it was to "prevent tartar." They also told me I needed 6 fillings but refused to show me my X-rays. Initially they said I had no cavities and when I asked why I needed fillings they showed me a mirror and pointed out a brown spot on my tooth and claimed it was a cavity. I declined their treatment plan but they went ahead and performed services and then billed me for it without providing an itemized statement. They also blasted cold air on my gum line repeatedly causing pain and discomfort to try to upsell me on "medication." read more

New patient here and I will say I absolutely love the staff and Dr. L. I get nervous a lot when it comes to any dental work and when it comes to comfortability they've met my expectations. If I could give 10/10 I would. Erica is very detailed explaining the itemized costs for the work, Paris is gentle, Nina is wonderful and of course the Dr! I hate the dentist and have never had a good experience in a dentist's chair until coming to Dr. Jesmine. The whole team goes above and beyond to ensure patient comfort. I had a dental emergency soon after my first appointment, and the doctor came in just to accommodate me. I also started getting Botox injections for my TMJ, and that has been pretty life-changing. Dr. Jesmine and the doctors she works with are professional and good at what they do, and I have been extremely satisfied with my care. I'll be coming here for many years to come! read more

Very nice office, pleasant people but billing is shady. Gives you a printout with one quote. Day of services, charge is higher with add ons that they 'forgot' to include in initial quote. So either bring in initial quote the actual day of procedure and hold them accountable or go elsewhere. Teeth cleaning services were subpar and medication before procedure was not called in in a timely manner. And they barely give you a discount, even with PPO. Might as well have no insurance. read more

I had a 2 pm appointment, and my cleaning hadn't started by 2:50 pm. I asked when my teeth would be cleaned and they said I would have to wait 20 more minutes because I hadn't "confirmed" my appointment when they sent a text the day before. The text they sent said, " Hi Isabelle! This is a reminder for your dental appointment with us on 11/15/2024 at 2:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you soon! Innovative Smiles Ph: (562) 542-3080." As you can see, there was neither a request a nor an instruction for me to confirm. I left because, like most other people, I have a job I need to get back to and I can't wait around for over an hour at an appointment I had properly scheduled. read more

Dr. Jesmine and Team have always been a breathe of fresh air when it comes to Dentistry customer service and care. I live in Long Beach but I started at their new Cerritos location. The location is beautiful and well kept and their staff were always welcoming, warm and hospitable. They were always very helpful when explaining services needed, insurance questions and best short term and long term options for me personally. As soon as I heard about their Long Beach location opening, I jump on the opportunity to schedule appointments there too and as expected, the location is clean, aesthetic and staff is equally as welcoming as Cerritos. From one woman owned small business owner to another, they know what matters to customers and they are implementing it at the highest level.
