I almost don't want to leave this review because I don't want him to be flooded with patients...... I won't be able to get an appointment because he'll be too busy I've had 2 crowns done by Dr. Phan and when I tell you there was zero discomfort or pain whilst they were being done, I mean ZERO! I've always felt pain 3/4 of the way during a crown because the anesthetic starts to wear off. I told Dr. about this issue and he actually listened and did something about it. I was completely numb the entire time. His whole staff is amazing too. His receptionist, techs and of course Dr. Phan are all epically phenomenal! They are patient, extremely communicative, professional and very approachable. Wonderful people! I can't wait for the next root canal which will likely be in another couple of years I'm so happy not to be in pain anymore, Thanks again Phan Endodontics!!! read more

Spent 90 minutes getting a root canal. Likely the best dental experience I've ever had. No pain, constant information. Led to an easy crown placement. Almost looking forward to the next root canal!!! read more

I read this DDS reviews and specialties, bedside manner etc and I decided he was going to be my new Endodontist. AND the fact that he makes same day appts. FALSE ADVERTISING ! The first time I called and explained my situation, the lady (don't know her name but it is the same one each time I call) who answers the phone told me that I needed to 'confirm' that there was an issue with the tooth that needed Endodontic treatment. I did that and called back, I was told there were no appts for 2 weeks. At that time I was in excruciating pain. Still was told no appts for 2 weeks !!! So I allowed my Oral Surgeon to perform the treatment. He opened (accessed) the tooth and found issues, so he administered medication into the tooth prior to beginning Root Canal treatment. He also had to eliminate the top portion of the tooth. So I have half of a tooth. It will ultimately have a temporary then a permanent crown, but for now I have half of a tooth. Upon my return visit he determined that I needed to see an Endodontist to ascertain whether there was a crack as the tooth is still sensitive to percussion. So I gave him Dr. Jason Phans name and tried to get an appt. A "Same Day Appt" as advertised on their website. I think this qualifies. But, Hold on, I had my Oral Surgeon's office call and they were told I could come Mid-August !! So I called myself and explained that we had spoken previously and my surgeon's office called also and requested to be seen this week as my tooth may have a fracture. After pleading the same lady I refer to says she will see what she can do and call me back. She did and offered August 3rd!! Today is July 8th !! She says 'you should be ok with antibiotics and pain killers' !! For an entire MONTH. Without knowing if I took antibiotics and pain killers already for this issue... How utterly unprofessional, irresponsible, uncaring and rude! At one point she told me there are many Endodontists that I can see in the area. I wonder if Dr. Phan knows that this is how his potential clients are being treated !!! They are not given same day appts for urgent matters, they are told to take meds and wait or see another practitioner. I will take the latter ! read more

Dr. Phan and his employees are so friendly and kind. I've come here twice to have him look at an area that I was concerned with. They took x-rays and did some simple tests before advising me I didn't need any work done. If I did, Dr. Phan is the endodontist I would trust and recommended others. Thank you Dr Phan and staff for being so kind and caring to this one scared patient! read more

Double root canal was like having a cavity filled. I fell asleep in the middle of it. Dr. Phan has high levels of competence and compassion and his staff is wonderful. He gets my highest recommendation. read more

Dr. Phan was really helpful. My tooth had been sensitive to cold liquids, and my dentist referred him to he checked it out and tested my sensitivity to cold temperatures. He took a head x-ray and after the evaluation said that he wanted to be conservative about treating it. It potentially could lead to a root canal, and he did not want to immediately jump to that conclusion, which I very much appreciate. I have been treated by my orthodontist with Invisalign. He thought that it could be the result of my teeth being moved, so we set up another appointment to see if that was the cause. I go back in a few weeks, and I really appreciate that Dr. Phan wanted to take a conservative approach. read more

Special Thanks for providing me with a copy of my CBCT Scan on a disk, which saved me $275 at my Periodontal appointment today. Thank you.

Phan Endodontics deserves more than 5 stars. The team is so polite, professional, and caring. I came here when I was at a really low point and my tooth was broken in half. This team fixed my tooth and removed the fragments and collaborated with my primary dentist. Because Phan Endodontics and my primary dentist my confidence has been restored and I no longer cover my mouth to talk and laugh. The team was very knowledgeable about insurance too and explained the situation to me better than my own insurance did. This team took such good care of me and they will do the same for you. If you're searching for an endodontist or you're unhappy with your current, making the switch will be more than worth it. read more

I had a root canal last Monday 10/2/23 and I must say the staff were "Amazing". Starting with the lovely reception Zarka. She was the 1st contact person I spoke with when I made my appointment and when I met her in person she showed excellent customer service. And then there was Gloria who performed my CT Scan; she was gentle and explained the procedure to me so I wouldn't get dizzy. Then Julia, who assisted Dr. Phan. She was very nice, caring and explained everything that was going to occur throughout the entire root canal procedure. And last, Dr. Phan. He was is an exceptional Endodontist. He also explained everything that he was doing throughout the procedure which in turn made me feel comfortable because I was just a "tad" nervous. After the procedure the next day, the staff reached out to me to see how I was doing. If you're looking for a Endodontist, I would highly recommend "Phan Endodontic Partners!!! read more

Such a relief to find an honest dentist. Brought my Dad to see Dr. Phan 4 months ago for an abscessed tooth. Since Dad is in his late 90's, we wanted to try the least invasive treatment first. Dr. Phan injected an antibiotic into the infected area with the hope that it would work, and the warning that it might not. We returned today hoping that it would be OK. Unfortunately, the tooth had deteriorated even more. The antibiotic did not reduce the abscess. Dr. Phan could have charged us for another "let's see" shot and sent us away for 4 months. Instead he gave us the truth - the bad news that the tooth needed to be extracted. Although this was not what we wanted to hear, the integrity of not stringing us along, was greatly appreciated. Wish more dentists were like Dr. Phan. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Phan and his staff or thank them enough! I came in as a trauma patient, needing root canals after a fall. I was apprehensive and terrified to say the least, not not mention in serious pain, and everyone in the office has gone above and beyond to help put my fears at ease. Dr. Phan is seriously a VERY SKILLED endodontist....let's face it, no one wants a root canal, EVER, but he went above and beyond to be quick, precise, and explain everything to me. He answered all of my questions, and of course, I actually thought the worst before having the procedure and was presently surprised when he was finished that he was already done! And Ms. Wendy, his assistant, her bedside manner is absolutely irreplaceable! She has been so helpful in calming me down, walking me through all the steps, reassuring me, etc...I wouldn't have been able to get through this without her! Dr. Phan continues to help me and be of service to me on my long road to recovery, which I am eternally grateful to him for! He has the best endodontist office in the South Bay, Period! You must get the best when dealing with teeth and Dr. Phan and his crew are absolutely it! read more

I needed a complicated epiactomy ( surgery on the gums) in the area where root canal was repeated in the same tooth and had substantial bone loss in the gums with substantial infection showing on the x-ray. Dr. Phan saved the teeth and the precarious old crown and cleaned up the area brilliantly. Surgery was done exceptionally well with the help of efficient, well trained staff. Had yearly follow up last week. The x-ray showed super clean gums with very good bone growth. Great achievement!!! Very professional staff/office. Thanks Dr. Phan. read more

Referred to Dr Pham by my primary dentist for evaluation of a suspicious spot on gum. Dr Pham found an infection inside a previously treated root. After initial treatment, infection unfortunately returned. He proposed removing the tooth to treat the socket and discovered the culprit, a cyst. Following area treatment and replanting of the tooth, & approximately 2 mo of healing, the tooth is doing wonderful. Dr Phan is a superb endodonist. He thoroughly evaluates the problem and provides you with all options. Highly recommend him for any procedure requiring an endodonist. His staff is wonderful as well. read more

I received two endodontic referrals from my Primary DDS. Dr Kuwahara was one of them. He really is a good doctor, with a good bed side manner. He takes time to make each visit personal and thoroughly communicates about the procedure, including the odds of success and failure. After the procedure, he does follow up visits to monitor the healing process. I also found Dr Kuwahara's staff to be extremely helpful. I was prepared to pay for my procedure in full up front, but they only took half on the day of the procedure and the rest was 2 even payments 30 days apart. He was also better priced than the first Dr I visited, who suggested an extraction without conducting a full evaluation. read more

Best Endodontics in the industry. I was referred to Dr. Phan's office from my dentist and I am so grateful that she did. The entire office and staff was so unbelievably friendly and professional. I literally felt like I made friends. Hospitality aside, Dr. Phan was such an amazing, patient and experienced doctor. My root canal wasn't an easy or typical situation, but Dr Phan stayed determine to save my tooth. This was the first time that I saw Dr. Phan, but I'm sure glad that I did. I went in with a tooth that needed a lot of attention and I was expecting to have a full blown root canal done. However, based on his assessment, there was a slim chance that he could save the tooth. After his treatment, the tooth got better and better with a pocket in the gum that went from 12mm to 3mm. Amazing! I like his optimistic approach and advanced treatment methods. I would highly recommend Dr. Phan. read more

I am so glad my regular dentist referred me to Dr. Kuwahara! The receptionist greeted me right away with smile and I was promptly invited into the procedure room by friendly assistant Ms. Stella. Before the procedure, she went over the finance and what was going to be done thoroughly. Dr. Kuwahara was meticulous, quick, and caring. Their quality of service and professionalism are very rare in today's world. They made my would-be unpleasant experience a very pleasant one! Thank you, Dr. Kuwahara and his staff! Broke my two front teeth and was referred over by my primary dentist. I was amazed at how quickly I was able to be seen on such short notice. As soon as I walked into the suite I was greeted very warmly by the receptionist who was also very helpful in filling out the appropriate forms. Before my procedure I was tended to by Dr. Kuwahara's assistant. She prepped me for the procedure and went over everything thoroughly which makes you feel very much at ease. By the time Dr Kuwahara came in I was all prepped and ready to go, but before he began he went over everything very thoroughly one more time and told me exactly what he was gonna do and how I should be feeling after. The procedure itself was pretty much flawless! I felt very comfortable the entire time and every now and then they would ask and make sure I was comfortable. The experience was overall great and even better due to the fact I came in on such short notice. If you ever lose a tooth or two as I did, I would high recommend giving Dr. Kuwahara a visit and see what he can offer, it is highly likely you won't be disappointed! read more

Dr Phan, Dr Kuwahara, and their staff are great! About 2 months ago, I had to have 2 root canals that had accompanying, significant bone infection that was resistant to the first antibiotic. During this unexpected and rather annoying event, Dr Phan has seen me several times (and will see me for one more follow-up appointment) and has treated me with skill, compassion, and humor. Prior to these, I had 2 separate root canals with Dr Kuwahara. The first one was tricky because the roots curved at the end. All 4 root canals have been very successful. My general dentist recommended both Dr Phan and Dr Kuwahara and told me they are the best. Both Drs Phan and Kuwahara have a gentle touch and are very skillful. Due to their skill and professionalism, I am certain I've gotten outstanding care. Their office staff and medical team are also great. They are well trained, very friendly, and couldn't be kinder. I highly recommend Drs Phan and Kuwahara to anyone requiring endodontic care. read more

Just left Dr Phan's office he was the best and his assistant Stella. He was very honest I had a cracked tooth he tried to save it but said a root canal would only last a year or two so I would be better off having it extracted I loved his honesty when he could have done the root canal just to make money. And the whole procedure was painless. I give Dr Phan 10 stars for his patience, honesty and compassion!! read more

I am so excited to write a review about Dr. Jason Phan and his office staff. Dr. Phan is such a wonderful doctor. From the first moment he met with me, he explained everything to me that he was going to do. I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them. I explained to Dr. Phan that I have VERY high anxiety, we worked together to make my experience very comfortable. I went to Dr. Phan a few times and one of the times I had a panic attack. He stopped and talked to me until I felt better and then continued with my treatment. Never once did I feel that Dr. Phan make me feel uncomfortable. I went to Dr. Phan this morning for a possible root canal if he could save a cracked tooth that either needed a root canal or an extraction. He was completely honest, explained everything, and in the end was able to save the tooth, at least for several years. I have had 4 root canals and multiple crowns and other dental work. This was the most painless procedure I have had, it was faster than I expected and I was overall quite impressed with Dr. Phan and his office staff. I hope I don't need to go back, but if I do this is where I will have endodontal work done in the future. read more

Dr. Phan promised a "pain-free" root canal and he made good on that promise! I felt no pain during the procedure nor anytime thereafter.
