I have had repeated negative experiences with one particular employee at this USPS location, and…read moreafter today I finally feel the need to say something.
The employee's name is Winn. I actually had to ask another employee for her name because, ironically, she was not wearing a visible name tag. Every time I come into this location, Winn is consistently rude, dismissive, and visibly irritated with customers. I have personally seen her roll her eyes, speak to people with an attitude, and make customers feel like they are an inconvenience simply for asking for help.
I work in customer service myself, so I understand that not every day is easy, but this kind of behavior toward the public is completely unacceptable, especially when it appears to be a repeated pattern.
Today I had a passport appointment scheduled for 12:00 PM. I arrived early around 11:20 to see if there was any possibility of being helped sooner since there were several employees working at the front. I was told that the employee who handles passports was on break, which I understood.
I came back around 11:45 and continued waiting. There were multiple employees at the counter, yet no one seemed willing or able to assist with passport appointments, and I was left waiting along with other customers until the one specific employee returned. I understand that employees are entitled to breaks, but if appointments are scheduled for a specific time, management should have proper coverage in place so customers are not left waiting because only one person is apparently able to perform that service.
What completely changed my experience was CASSANDRA. She was exceptional. She was kind, professional, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She made conversation, treated me like a person, and made sure I was taken care of. Her customer service was exactly what you would hope to receive when walking into a public service location. Management should absolutely recognize her because she made up for several frustrating experiences I have had here.
At the same time, management seriously needs to address Winn's behavior at the front counter. This is not about one bad interaction. I have witnessed this behavior toward multiple customers on multiple visits, and even people I know who use this location have commented on the same employee's attitude.
Customers should not have to walk into a USPS location wondering whether they are going to be treated with disrespect. Winn's repeated behavior should be formally addressed by management, and I genuinely hope this complaint is taken seriously. Cassandra proves that professional, respectful customer service is absolutely possible at this location.
I would love to leave 5 stars for Cassandra but I'm leaving one so that this gets attention towards the other employees inattentiveness
