How one handles such situations and moves forward is perhaps the best measure of character. After a disappointing experience with Gold Coast Locksmiths, Matt reached out to me to apologize and explain circumstances on his side. I was impressed with his willingness to accept responsibility and make amends, rather than the far to common reaction of fabricating excuses. I was left with the impression that they genuinely care about their customers' experience and the results and quality of their work. I am revising my review to a positive recommendation and will use their services again.

I could not believe that my friend and…read moreI somehow lost the only key she had for her car...We were in Santa Barbara and me, being the Yelp addict that I am...I did what any self-respecting Yelper would do, and that is to YELP! I do not know where we left the key...all I know is when we were ready to leave, we did not have the key. Who knows what store or restaurant we may have left it in...Since we were at a mall in Santa Barbara and we were all over the place...I cannot begin to explain to you the sinking feeling you have inside when you aren't able to leave when you need to leave somewhere...it's very unsettling. All of those feelings went away after I YELPED keys and locksmiths... I sent out a quote to a few different businesses and was very surprised at the results...I was contacted via email from Daniel from Master Locksmith Santa Barbara. I thought that I may have used the services of his company before when I looked at the photos of the Master Locksmith Santa Barbara...it appeared that the same logos were in the photos. Turns out that I was correct in my thinking. I am all about using the same people/businesses that I have had success with. ALWAYS. Spreading the love is what I do when I have worked with someone before. When a company you have used has worked out good for you before...so that was cool. Daniel answered my email right away, he had a window of time to get to us that totally worked. So, I asked him to call me for a quote and it was extremely reasonable, ($325), I had reached out to other companies and they were they best price and able to be there the soonest. So...I went with Master Locksmith Santa Barbara. And boy, was I glad I did!!! When Daniel arrived, his experience showed, because he very easily opened the car door and made a key and programmed it to our vehicle. Then he made an emergency key that goes inside the key fob. I could not ask for more from a locksmith. Daniel's quick response was so appreciated. Like I said before, you have no idea of how upsetting it is to not know how you are going to get home or get to where you need to go next. Because of Daniel's quick response, we were able to get to our friend's birthday party that we were supposed to go to, on time. Thank you Daniel, you ROCK!!! Master Locksmith Santa Barbara gets 5 stars, because of their quick response, the quality of their work, and how fast they are. They employ amazing employees, and are dedicated and committed to providing the best service possible to those in need when there is an emergency, even if it isn't and when it might be... I have no words to describe how it feels to have our needs responded to and taken care of so quickly....I highly recommend using Master Locksmith Santa Barbara if you ever need any kind of locksmith for car, home, or other needs...Daniel was fantastic. I felt safe and felt confident in his abilities to handle our needs. I am positive that he can take care of anything you need done. In the event that you need any of his services, I highly recommend!

Michael came and did the install on time did a great job on all three doors. He confirmed a few things where we had a choice how he solved a problem the previous deadbolt installer created, or needed clarification on fit. Fixed a squeak on a hinge I hadn't gotten to yet, and I think left the area cleaner than he found it. Final invoice was exactly as expected. A few days later, very happy with the work. In the past folks (or sometimes me) get the fit wrong so the door doesn't close quite right or scrapes on some part. We have none of that.

I would have remembered having a conversation that they would be driving from Santa Barbara to Oxnard for the service call and it would be an additional $55 Trip Fee. Although I was not told this ahead of time, when I questioned the extra fee, Jill said "I definitely told you, you must have been confused since the repair fee was also $55". I just want others to be aware of this to be sure you are 100% clear and know if there will be any trip fee or not prior to hiring them.
