My car key battery has lasted 4 years until it died, I went to ESP and they replaced the battery, since then the clicker was working backwards and eventually stopped working. I work way too much so I paid no mind to it, simple things like this I know I can do myself but I just don't have the time. Turns out the battery was completely wrong. Caused me unnecessary stress that I don't have time for. If it's too simple for me to do by myself, why did they do it wrong? My daughter lost her keys and her housemate was out of town so I submitted a request to ESP on Yelp to inquire about lockout service and cutting a new key. Alan responded very promptly and gave me a quote - $100 for lockout service and $30+ to cut a new key. He dispatched Kyle who met my daughter, checked her proof of residence, and quickly let her into the house. He then cut her a couple of new keys. The next day, someone turned in my daughter's keys to the lost and found and she discovered that her old key no longer worked on the door. When Kyle asked if she wanted her lock rekeyed, she said yes, not knowing that it meant changing the lock to work with new keys. Fortunately, for a mere $95, ESP was able to come back again to switch the lock back to work with the old set of keys so that her housemate didn't get stuck outside. We had a Pella door with a latch that had been battered and abused a bit while our house was on the market by people who probably didn't know how to use it. It got stuck while locked and we could not open it at all and were scared to push or pull too hard on it because it was an exterior door and we have small kids that could potentially get out without us knowing. After contacting ESP via yelp, I emailed extensively with them to share images of the door/lock, as well as discuss pricing for repair and potential replacement of the lock if if it was unable to be repaired. Never come to this place to make a key. I asked the owner here to fix the lock for my roof box before, not only did he not fix it and make a key for me, he also damaged the lock of my roof box. That time I ignored him because I thought he was the locksmith next to where I work. This time I asked him to make a key for my daughter's car that she had just bought from someone else. They said the key with the remote was lost so I came to him to make a new key. Actually, before doing it, he should have checked the inside of my daughter's car to see if it was compatible with the key with the remote. He didn't check it but ordered a new key for $190 and told my daughter to pay $100 in advance and come back when he had the new key to make it. When he came back a few days later, he used a key cutter and brought it to the car to set up, he said the remote didn't work, couldn't open and close the door, could only be used by hand to open the door and start the engine, and forced my daughter to take the key and pay the remaining $90. I didn't agree because the key didn't use the remote to lock and open the door, so I told him if the key didn't work, then lower the price so I could take it and only use my hand to lock and open the door. He didn't agree and also had the attitude of a rude person and had a bad attitude towards his customers. So I advise you to think before you want to come here to use their service. read more

We wanted spare key for our vehicle. The key is the newer internally cut (laser cut) style. After learning the car dealership wanted $168 for a spare key, I sent out an inquiry through Yelp to local locksmiths asking for help. Several locksmiths wrote to say the key is proprietary and only available from a car dealership. But ESP Locksmith called to say they had the correct key blank and the laser cut machine to make the duplicate key. Until I purchased a used car from Perry (wouldn't do it again from them) I didn't realize how difficult it would be to get a second key. This was because the ignition key had to be programed to the car. Perry first promised a second key, later said they couldn't get it, but would arrange to have their key guy do one up for me for $289! That lead me on a quest to find out how to do it myself.
