HOLY COW! Tyler came out on an evening run in RECORD time. He said he'd be there in an hour and damn if he wasn't. The guy is a Tasmanian Devil (dated myself). He showed up and immediately addressed the issues I had of rekeying a deadbolt and entry door in what seemed like minutes.... Ok a bit more. Knowledgeable, nice, funny, and reasonable compared to the drubbing I've taken in the Conejo Valley at another rental. Who ya gonna call?! Tyler! read more

UPDATE: Everyone makes mistakes and we are all faced with challenges as well as circumstances outside of our control from time to time. How one handles such situations and moves forward is perhaps the best measure of character. After a disappointing experience with Gold Coast Locksmiths, Matt reached out to me to apologize and explain circumstances on his side. I was impressed with his willingness to accept responsibility and make amends, rather than the far to common reaction of fabricating excuses. I was left with the impression that they genuinely care about their customers' experience and the results and quality of their work. I am revising my review to a positive recommendation and will use their services again. read more

Tyler came out and got our deadbolt re-keyed, he got it done fast and was super professional and nice! Thanks Tyler!!

Amazing customer service! I had been calling around for a lost key on my Sentry lockbox, and no one in town had the right key blank. Upon calling Gold Coast Locksmith, he actually informed me that Sentry had great customer care, and that I could actually get the RIGHT key from them. He saved me time and money, and was incredibly knowledgeable about the product, when no one else was. I will always use him from now on! read more

Jean came on time, was friendly, and installed 2/3 new locks with no issue. When he took off the third lock to replace, we discovered that the previous owners had cut a new hole in the door and I needed either new scar plates or a sleeve. I told him I'd buy the sleeve over the weekend because I couldn't find scar plates with the right dimensions on Home Depot's website and the local hardware store didn't have any. I bought the sleeve, texted him that I had it and was ready for him to come back on Monday...and then I never heard back. I called and left voicemails on the main line and on his personal phone, I texted his personal phone multiple times, and I never got a response. It's been a week now and I still haven't heard back. So when he was there, everything was fine, but rescheduling for him to come back never came to fruition. I had to hire another locksmith to finish the job. read more

STELLAR SERVICE! This place is the absolute best. I called and their senior tech was able to come by the next day. He fixed a broken door handle and dead bolt we were having lots of trouble with, re-keyed our entire house and made us duplicate keys. But, way above and beyond, he fixed our screen doors and sliding doors which had been sticking like crazy! (our land expands and contracts with the seasons). He also fixed two other doors that had more minor, yet bothersome, mechanical lock issues. If that was not enough he also oiled all the door mechanisms and everything has never worked better. A++ service. I 100% recommend this place! read more

FAST AND PROFESSIONALLY DONE! I've had a couple locksmith come out and dent my window frame or even scratch my car door trying to help me get into my car. Tyler was finished and inside my house within a matter of seconds. quick and fast no marks left behind! truly appreciate the work and the extra spare keys! I hope I won't have to call but If I do you guys would be the first on my list! Thank you again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! read more

Exemplary service. Daniel was here in 20 minutes, great attitude, even with my stubborn lock. He had to put in a new lock but charged MUCH less than others for that service (I've had it happen before). Professional. Kind. I read a couple of the other reviews that were poor. My experience could not have been further from those descriptions. It was a long, hard day after losing all my keys. This made it better. Would recommend HIGHLY!!!! read more

Matt was AWESOME! He saved the day for me with his prompt reply and service. I was locked out of my house, and he was able to quickly get the door unlocked without any damage to the lock. He showed up within 20-30 minutes of me contacting him as estimated. He has a reasonable rate, much better than another top reviewed locksmith. He also went above and beyond with making duplicate keys and showing me how to switch my lock (if desired) to not automatically lock when the door closes behind me. He had a very courteous and kind demeanor. He also wore a mask. We will likely be re-keying some locks in the future, and I will be using this company for any locksmith services in the future. If you read this, thank you Matt! Really appreciate your great service! read more

Daniel has proven that he DESERVES this 5 star review, let me break it down for you. 1. I called for someone to let me into my house at 2 am 2. he showed up at 2:25... how? I don't know 3. he opened the door by 2:26, again, HOW?!? 4. He was so kind and he didn't even act like it was about to be 3 in the morning. read more

PHENOMENAL AND FAAAAST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! VERY FAIR AND REASONABLE PRICES. SUUPER RECOMENDED. My mother got locked out of her condo on a Sunday morning at 7:30AM. I am not in town so I was unable to help her get in the house.I called all the "24-hour locksmiths" in the area and no one answered my call. I finally reached a "24-hour" locksmith who told me it would be two-hours before they arrived Tyler called me back almost immediately and told me he could be there in less than 25 minutes. He showed up in a marked vehicle, and very professional. He promptly got them inside the house, fixed the lock, gave a new key. During the process, he called and gave me updates of the work which really put me at ease since i was not there in person. The whole job took less than 45-minutes Tyler made this a very pleasant experience during an unfortunate situation for my mother. read more

They were able to come e out right away to find my mangled from door lock. Best price and wonderful person!!

After stupidly locking myself out when the rest of my roommates were out of town, I called my property management company (who was useless) and other nearby locksmiths (who didn't even answer the phone). Gold Coast was prompt, courteous, and able to take care of me in less than 20 minutes. Without going into too much detail, Daniel tried to find alternatives to a pricier method of getting me in, which showed that he cared about the service rather than just how much money he could get out of me. He was professional and very knowledgeable about locks. Though I would hope you don't, I highly recommend you call Gold Coast if you ever are in need of a locksmith. read more

Thank you Tyler and Daniel for your help the other morning! After calling multiple locksmiths, I was about to give up on all the extremely high prices I was told to get my door open. Tyler called me back and gave me tips on how to try opening the door myself, which I was surprised with since it showed he actually cared to save you money if you could do it yourself :) I ended up not being able to do it and was too worried I'd break the side of my door, and so Tyler had Daniel come over to help us out. Daniel was such a sweetheart and opened our door in a jiffy, thank you! read more

They just made my 2011 red Chevy Camero ss keys super fast very friendly will be calling them for more work.

I came from kern county and was on my way to the coast.I was driving my 19 year old Lexus suv that is in impressive condition. The trip was very nice until I did a mishap , I had pulled over to get a beverage and use the restroom when I returned to my vehicle I realized I was locked out and my keys were present in my vehicle but not in the ignition.I called Gold Coast Locksmith and within 30 minutes Tyler arrived to assist me. He had my door opened right away and I was able to continue my trip. When I was ready to pay him for the wonderful quick ,professional service he provided, he did something that completely caught me by surprise. He gave me a break on my payment which was quoted to me over the phone,he said he did not want my mishap to ruin my trip and that maybe I would utilize his service in the future and put in a word to my friends and family.I was blown away by his generosity and providing me with that old school type of service, thank you once again and your rating from me is 5 star read more

I got locked out of my home over Memorial Day Weekend and was happy to see that Gold Coast offers 24/7 service unlike other companies in town. My call was promptly answered and they sent a technician out right away who showed up at my door 10 minutes later. The technician worked quickly and payment was easy with the card. They handled a stressful situation for me in a timely and efficient manner. I highly recommend them if you're ever in need! read more

Did not use this locksmith but on the phone he was exceptionally nice. He told me to send me a picture of the lock and then guiding me on the phone tried to help me to unlock the door. Really made me feel like he was not out for the money but just being really helpful. read more

Called to unlock my apartment and the soonest they could get there was 2 hours later. That was fine and I made an appointment. They never showed up. They never called me to say they were running behind. I tried to call them back three times and they never answered and their mailbox was full so I could not leave a message. I had to call a second locksmith who did show up. Do not trust these guys, very unprofessional. read more

Life savers. The man I talked to when I first called was really nice and helpful. Daniel called me 1 minute after I hung up with the first guy and came within 20 minutes. EXCELLENT/six stars, if possible: GC Locksmith came through promptly and efficiently in a pinch at 10 pm. Tyler and Matt understood the stress of being locked out of your home and solved the issue professionally, but also with empathy and courteously. make sure to call them before going with anyone else in SB. read more

I forgot the name of my lock smith but he came super quick and did the job in less than 10 minutes. He had a great attitude which makes the experience of locking yourself out less miserable. I wouldn't recommend locking yourself out but if you did I would recommend Gold Coast Locksmith. read more

So, as the other reviewers stated, Danial WAS great! It's a consensus. He was helpful in deciding what to do with the locks and just a general dream to work with. He was kind to my dog who immediately thought she'd received a life size toy!! She can be a bit needy in the attention department but as long as she could be by his side, she was content and he was really sweet about it. She even jumped into his car as he was leaving and wasn't thrilled when I took her out. That's as good a recommendation as anyone could hope to get! Thanks Danial!! P.S. Prices are competitive. read more

I will never call them again! Only called because they used to service Carpinteria, but evidently it's out of their scope now. Did not show up for appointment, or call to say they were running behind. I called and said I'd been waiting an hour; no apology, but rescheduled. Seemed as if they were doing a favor to even come to Carpinteria. Why not just refer to another service? Got the new lock installed, but two of the new keys do not work. Scheduled another appointment to have that addressed, and called to be sure we were on the schedule; affirmed, and then another no show! We will get the keys made somewhere else at our cost, but for what they charged they should make it right. If you're running a business and running late or stuck on another job, its common courtesy to call and let the person know. You'll be out of business doing business this way. read more

really good experience, fast service and reasonable price. we had locked our keys in the car and they made it easy for us. thank you!

I chose this company based on many good review but it turned out a disaster. A guy showed up almost an hour late without apologizing for being late. He rekeyed 3 doors and put on a new lock for one door for a price of $288. After he was done, I noticed that a deadbolt on one of the doors was quite loose. I asked him and he said he did not touch the lock and it was like that. He would come back to fix the next day if it was a problem. I asked him if he didn't touch it then how could he rekeyed. It seemed he was in a hurry. I was stupid for not checking all the doors before paying him since I was busy with unpacking. Later on, I checked and found all the deadbolts were like that. I understand that they should wiggle a bit but not so loose (can't upload a video). Then he also left a big mess and the light in the room on (see the photo) I called his boss, then he had the guy called me back. He kept saying those were like that before he touched them. I told him there were 4 people in my family used the locks the day before and none was like that. I asked him to come back and fixed them. Then he lost his temper and told but the locks still worked and if he came back he would charge me for $45 fee. I said why should I pay extra after almost $300. Then he hanged up. I called his boss. The boss said he would come by to take a look tomorrow. We agreed on the time between 11-11:30am. I left work to be there and waited until 1pm. During that time, I called and no answer. I texted him and he told me he was busy doing other job and that he would be done soon. Then I waited until 3 pm then I decided to call EPS Locksmith. Alan showed up as he promised and he told me the guy installed one of the locks up side down and the job was done by a new or inexperienced person. He even gave me a discount after hearing what happened. Then the nightmare did not end there. He left keys for the new lock that he installed but they were not the right keys. Later on, when I about to throw out a box he left near the door, lucky I decided to look through it and found the keys in there. I asked them to refund part of the fee because I had to pay the second company but they did not. Anyway, I do not recommend this company at all after this experience. After this, I went back and looked carefully at all reviews on this company, most of the high rating ones were from people who were locked out of their place or lost keys. I do not know about the boss but The guy who did the work was rude and not professional at all. Also, if you want to change a lock or put in a new lock, you should buy one from Home Depot or OSH for 1/3 of the price that this company charged you. read more

I had a slight problem with my commercial door lock for my business that I needed to get to but of course you know how some things get put off.
