We had to have all of our carpet replaced after a car crashed into our home. The carpet we had was very good quality and installed perfectly. We purchased our carpet from this business because they had similar high-quality carpet. Unfortunately, their installers did a horrible job and it is evident every day when I walk into my house I informed them of the issue and I was told that in time the seams would go down. they did not. Now, it is out of warranty and they will not do anything for me. Beware of this company. I paid over $10k for this carpet and installation and I am incredibly disappointed. read more

Not happy with the service. Had carpet installed in my living room about 4 years ago. Roughly two years after install, it started rippling. It wasn't bad at first. Once it got worse, last year, I called to ask them about stretching it. I paid good money and don't expect it to ripple after 2-3 years. They were going to charge me $250 to stretch it, which isn't bad but I don't think it was installed properly. My previous carpet never rippled and we had it 10 plus years, which I explained. I just let it go and figured I would deal with the ripple. It's now a year later and it's getting worse. I called again last week and asked for a manager. No manager in store at the moment but I was told I would be called back later that day. Well here it is several days later with no call. I told the employee I would be willing to half the cost, I feel like some accommodation could be made.. let's just say I definitely won't be using them for my other rooms that now need new carpet. To have linoleum put in my kitchen and down my hallway I was giving a quote for over $3,000 for the material alone the labor would be about $2,000. It was a small job. Thank you carpetland for installing my new carpet. It matched up perfectly. I went to carpetland because I had a poor experience with another carpet company basically telling me my 1 room project was low priority so I cancelled my order there and found carpetland. They were a bit more expensive than my previous quote but out of principle I went with carpetland . They showed me what I was looking for, pet,stain resistant and were able to schedule an installation within a few days. They came out to measure and informed me there would be an extra charge to seam the carpet which of course was about 150 more so now about 280 dollars more than my original quote from the other company ( but it once again is the principle and I wanted to have a trusted company which I was feeling at the time of the sale at carpetland) I agreeded, this is when things went from 5 star to 2-2.5 stars. The carpet was installed and when I asked the installers they said it fit perfect without needing a seam. I was glad to hear this. I. Collection of payment I told them I needed to call the office to let them know they didn't need to seam it so I would get the 150 credit back. The installer then backtracked and said they did have to seam it. I paid and contacted the office. I also looked at the back of the rug where the seam was to be ( my own curiosity) and no where did I see a seam, in fact I saw fibers continuous through that are. I called the store they said they would verify with the installer and now 10 days later I am still waiting on that call back. Needless to say, customer service takes a second to profitability and though they did do a nice job on the install I will not be using carpetland on the shear principle of not honoring their customers. Horrible experience. I scheduled Carpetland for a whole house install. They brought the wrong color which delayed the project. The day they were supposed to return with the correct color the installer called to say he couldn't make it, delaying the project yet again. I had to reschedule other subs. Then when they installed the carpet they left wrinkles, bubbles, and as you can see from the pictures they did a horrible job in the family room. There was absolutely no carpet left so that may explain why the family room looks like a patch job. I will NEVER use Carpetland again. I tried to resolve the problem but instead of working with me they ignored my calls and refused to correct the problems. I wasn't even supposed to be there the day of the install as they had access through a lock box. I just happened to be in town so went to the house. Basically I saved them from installing the wrong carpet and having to pull out a whole house full of the wrong color, which would have been a huge waste to them. But when I tried to get them to correct the problems I got the run around from the staff. I sent them the same pictures I am posting here and even someone on their staff said they thought the job was awful and they would not have been happy with that work if it was done at their house. I asked for a correction of the problem or a discount and was offered $25.00 off. At this point I won't be happy unless I get a full refund for all the time, trouble and sub par workmanship. Tina is the sales representative that helped me while I shopped in the store. She was extremely helpful, friendly, and patient. Once I finally decided on floors it took about a week and half for the materials to come in. I set an appointment and they did my whole house in one day. Unfortunately it took almost 12 hours but I believe they were short a guy. The guys that came were Buddy, Steve, and Matt. All of them were super friendly and they did a great job! After home depot gave us a quote of $3600 to carpet and pad approx 45yards! We ran out of there as fast as we could! Stay far away from them for ANY service job they will bleed you dry!! So i checked out reviews online and decided to go to big bobs. I was helped by a tall guy who did the math, then he left and an older woman came along with her calculator, then a younger woman started helping me and the price kept changing, even when i chose the carpet on the wall that was on "special" I picked carpet with a ten year guarantee and was quoted $878 installer was not included and was quoted approx $300 for the install! However i took their card and passed by carpetland and just figured id look around, got a quote of $826 for carpet, padding, hauling, a installer onsite so it was all included! And this carpet that was recommended by the sales lady has the lifetime stain warranty because of the smart strand technology! YOU DO THE MATH!
