The price they gave us was fantastic, and the installation was fast and professional. We had an issue with our dining room floor being significantly higher than our living room floor. The installer built a gentle ramp so that the two flooring types, carpet and quartzite, meet at the same height. Positive experience in store we dealt with Owen, He was friendly and professional showed us some samples ,so we had him come out to do some measurements at our home he brought the samples with him. We chose the floors we wanted we set up the install date that work best for us . The installers came out did the install did a very good job happy with the floors in our bedroom we did hardwoods very nice Shaw flooring we did carpeting in 2 other bedrooms , although it took me a little while to get used to the color of course the samples aren't always what the larger carpet would ,it's still nice and we were pleasantly surprised. I went to several flooring stores seeking an off-white carpet color specified by my designer to go with my newly painted off-white walls. I ended up finding plenty of good options at very competitive prices while working with salesperson Carol Gay Fagerhaugh, a.k.a. 'CG', at the Concord Carpeteria Flooring Center on Willow Pass Rd. She provided me with lots of samples to check out and take home. After I had made a decision and placed an order, she came to my house to double check my measurements. The following day, she called me and said that after seeing my home and how there was a lot of open doors to the outside (meaning directly tracking in dirt from the patio and yard via humans and pets); plus my revealing I like red wine and have knocked over a glass or two onto my living room carpet; and her viewing my furniture and artwork style, she could not, with a clear conscience, sell me the carpet I had selected. She frankly told me I wouldn't be happy after all is said and done because my lifestyle wouldn't make it comfortable on such a light color. CG advised me on an alternate color a few shades darker. I agreed with her reasoning and I liked her suggestions. I am now very satisfied with the carpet she helped me choose and how it flows perfectly with the various tile colors I have throughout my house. Wow! Honesty and integrity! I appreciated her candor and revealing that designers sometimes focus too much on the look, rather than the practicality of the flooring needed. CG has the experience and wisdom having been in the carpet business for a couple of decades and knows what is appropriate and sensible flooring to specify. She told me she wants the customer to be happy with their choice and investment. Also, the carpet installation went smoothly. What a frustrating experience. Owen was our salesperson and the previous negative comments are spot on. He sold us carpet and within a year the carpet started coming apart. Strings coming up all over. We have a 2" hole in one spot where the carpet has completely come up. He came out to review the situation and was insulting. He said he would at least replace the section with the hole, but has come through with nothing. We have called and discussed the issue with Les the manager. It has been several days and no response. Their customer service is horrible. I have called several times and they have yet to come up with a solution to replace the carpet. In my opinion, the carpet is complete junk. This carpet was Owens recommendation. We started the process with them in July. It is now October and the carpet gets worse every day. Still waiting. Found out that Owen was lying to us and had not informed the operations people if our issues. He sat on it for almost 3 weeks. read more

I have a sunroom for which it was a challenge to find flooring that could withstand the sun and extreme temperature changes. My husband and I stopped by Carpeteria in Dublin and met Cappi. Cappi was very knowledgeable about the various flooring products and made some recommendations for our sunroom. Cappi made the process painless. She came to our house, measured the room, brought samples, wrote up a quote, and arranged for the installation. The installers were timely and did an incredible job installing the flooring! We had an estimate and it was a little more then Home Depot and Home Depot's carpet was softer. But we went with Carpeteria for our baby room and it turned out great. the salesman was a nice fella and the installers were done super fast and did a nice job cleaning up. I'd use them again. I think they charge a bit too much for the thicker carpet pad though. I would have done more rooms with them, but I wanted the really thick pad and Home Depot had them beat for installation with the big beefy pad. If I can recommend anything to someone shopping for carpet, get the thickest pad underneath, its sooo much better to walk and stand on. read more

Recently we had all the carpets replaced in our home and we upgraded the flooring in our playroom with Carpeteria. Less was the salesman. When I met him I honestly did not feel the need to go anywhere else. He was incredibly kind and knowledgeable on all flooring and carpet products. Five years ago we put in high end carpets from another store and we were told it was completely pet and stain friendly. Obviously we were scammed. It was important for us to not make the same mistake again! We are more then happy with Carpeteria and our experience with Les and his associate. However, one of the best parts were the installers! Be very careful when dealing with this location. I can't speak on all Carpeterias; however, this location caused me a headache. The salesman was a liar, deceitful and provided horrible customer service. I took some time off work and wanted to get my floors done during my week long vacation. I visited numerous places and the only place that guaranteed they'd be able to do it within my timeframe was this Carpeteria. I picked my floors and the salesman "supposedly" called the warehouse and confirmed the laminate was in stock. I scheduled my old floors to be removed which was fine. But that's when the trouble began. The employees began to bring in the floors which I immediately noticed were not the ones I ordered. I confirmed it with my receipt and the floors' website. I called the salesperson who wanted no part of any accountability. He claimed it was the same floor. Conveniently for him, the floors I ordered were NOT in stock and wouldn't be for months. Obviously, he called the warehouse and found out the floors I wanted was not in stock. Afraid he'd lose a sale, he set it up so I'd receive a similar floor hoping I wouldn't notice. So for three months, I had to love with no floors in my house. Dust was everywhere from them removing my floors. Three months later, I finally got my floors. Then the salesman had the audacity to demand payment immediately. I had to wait 3 MONTHS for what I wanted and this guy threatened to send my account to collections if I didn't pay that day. What kind of customer service was this. After a full hour of negotiating and practically pulling teeth, the store manager cut $500 off my total. The salesman said all he could do was give up his commission which was $75. Overall, the product is good but the lying, deceit and horrible customer service would prevent me from ever shopping there or recommending this place. read more

We bought worth $1300plus wood flooring .Then when we install this 99cents wood in our house we found out this is a low quality wood therefore it was'nt easy to install and it wasnt really good at all ... .Then when we tried to return it or exchange it,they give us a hard time ..saying all things like " this is a special order therefore we can return it or we can but we to pay like $300 re-stocking fee . I tried exchanging it ,still they gave me all the round and round things giving all excuses .. .So glad American Express help us with the return and credit back our money,,,We have to write a lot to AMEX in order for us to justify our return and finally they did..so watch out for this establishment..Just go buy your stuff to Home Depot or Lowe's or even Costco as this establishment honor and guarantee your satistifaction..We will NEVER EVER buy anything anymore to this Carpeteria..that will be the FIRST and LAST ..Going to this place is nightmare for us...so really Think first before buying stuff from this establishment..We almost got victimize by this store ....so glad we used our AMEX and we were able to run after out money and got refunded thru AMEX but not to this particular store as they'll just give you all the BS/ and all flimsy excuses esp to the store personnel I dealt with read more

Just got an in home estimate. Was thinking about going with you until the estimator Owen decided to mansplain the difference between an in store and in home estimate to me. He seemed nice enough when he got here 15 minutes late (he did text me so I guess that's fine). He showed me two options of the less expensive carpet since I'm just selling my house. He then said he noticed I have a few pieces of furniture still on the carpet which is fine because he offers moving services and will just work in moving the furniture into my estimate (didn't even ask me if I wanted it moved, just assumed I needed help because I am a woman and was all by myself. Of course I'm not capable of moving things on my own or have people that can help me). I declined the moving help. He gave me an estimate immediately after measuring, which was great. He then said that all I need to do is put $1,200 down now and they'll come back when I want them to come do the work. I told him I was still getting quotes and wasn't ready to buy just yet. He immediately started packing up and said thanks for your time and I hope you find what your looking for. I told him I just needed to think about it and asked if I could call him if I decided to go with them (I asked for his business card, he didn't offer). He then said "Well you can go into a store and order your carpet there. In store estimates are when you go into a store to get an estimate, say 'I need to think about it' and leave and come back to buy. I'm doing an in house estimate where I go to your house and I'm not going to come back if you decide you want to buy." I said I know the difference, I'm just asking for time to think about it. Wow. I just called Carpeteria to inquire about a price on a carpet after having a bad expirience with another company and their install. I told the woman I spoke with that we were going to be issued a refund from the first company and I was looking to have the same carpet installed as long as they could match the price. The woman on the phone then told me "wow, well you see this is already a big red flag for me. All you're doing is price shopping" (well yes but is that illegal?)... basically she was telling me she didn't want my business. She just lost a very easy sale. All she needed to do was tell me what their price per sq ft. was, or even just tell me about their install process, customer service, etc. and I would have purchased over 1,000 sq ft of carpet. Owen is FANTASTIC! In a world where we rarely get good customer service it is refreshing working with Owen at Carpeteria. He has been so helpful. He has come to our house 3x's to measure rooms for new flooring. We are remodeling and going one room at a time. I called Carpeteria to get information about order lead time on a specific hardwood product. A man named Owen called back and I informed him that another company had the item on back order. He was extremely condescending and refused to call the manufacturer and supplier in Manteca to double check the lead time and if the item was actually on back order or if it was just that that company was having order issues. He even said it was a "waste of time." I guess I won't ever be wasting my time doing with business with this company either if they can't make simple phone call for a customer. read more

Catherine was very helpful and friendly and made sure I received my carpet on time as I had to have it installed before my daughter's upcoming wedding. This is the first exploratory call I made to a carpet company for an upcoming carpet project. I had questions and I understand these take some patience from the rep, especially over the phone, but my conversation with Owen didn't end up to productive at all. When trying to get "ballpark" pricing since I knew the approx. sq. footage. I sensed condescension. I got the "well, if you pick carpet at $1.99" line, but when he said..."I'm holding the carpet up to the phone so you can see it," that's when I knew they didn't care about me as a potential new customer and it made me feel very disrespected. It's a shame because I would have pursed them if I had been treated with respect and if they had acted like they truly valued me as a potential new customer. The flooring they did looked nice however the ultimate outcome was disappointing from a customer service perspective. Our sales person was Owen - I'd recommend not going with him in the case you do use Carperteria, but I'd recommend not using this company. The installers were very sloppy. They put their dirty hands all over my walls and created stains. They didn't even sweep or wipe down anything so there was a layer of dust throughout my house. I was displeased by the stains, so I called the store and spoke to Cappie, who was very professional and polite. She said Owen would call me back in a few hours, in which he did, however he was very condescending and slightly rude. He said that the contract states they are not responsible for damages, so I made it clear that this could have been avoided if his installers wore gloves or didn't touch my walls & it would be understandable if there were a few nicks and what not, but this looked like they ate lunch and wiped their hands all over the walls. You literally can see handprints. Owen said he would pay out of his own pocket for touch ups and he called from his cell. At times he was breaking up so it was obvious he took the call outside so his boss &/or co-workers wouldn't hear...very shady. He later texted and said the installers would do the repainting in a few days when they come back for final flooring touches. Why would flooring installers do my repainting? In an effort to move on from this mess, I agreed - big mistake. They used carpet cleaner to clean the walls which stripped the paint off my walls. I had said it was a bad idea and the installer said they do it all the time. I was annoyed and left the room. I came back and he was painting...I asked him where he got the paint and he said he found it in my garage...hmmmm...to be honest, this guy was just trying to get the job done and shouldn't be blaimed for the direction he got from Owen. He was really trying and make things right and unfortunately got the brunt of my frustrations. He cared more than Owen and tried to make things right. We spent $13k on flooring and for Owen (who likely received a commission off of us) to take the situation so lightly and handle so poorly and unprofessionally was really disappointing. Sales guy took my info, had the house measured, quoted a carpet and pad and then attempted to retrade the cost by about 20% after I had committed. Poor installation job...pattern carpet with uneven edges and crooked layout. Requested a fix, tried to charge me for it. Carpet in every single room had pulled away from the walls and creased in the middle of the room within 18 months and I had purchased one of their higher end carpets and their most expensive pad. I replaced carpeting that was damaged from water from a ruptured pipe. I went to Carpeteria again because they had sold and installed my original carpeting and the carpet was still in beautiful shape prior to the water damage. They were very professional and helpful and did a really good job last time. Jim Miller, the sales person, was very helpful and extremely patient. I took a long time making up my mind about colors, etc. He was always helpful and friendly. Finally deciding on my choice of carpeting he scheduled the installation. The installers showed up promptly when expected and were very efficient and friendly. I have a lot of furniture that needed to be moved and they treated the furniture as if it was their own. They carefully moved everything and made sure it was all put back where it started after the installation. I was very relieved because I had some very nice things I was worried might get scratched. They replaced my bed and I swear they would have probably made if back up for me if I had asked them! I highly recommend Carpeteria.
