Jack is a nice guy and very friendly. He ensured my floors were installed in a timely manner. Now for all of the cons...Beware! 1. At the last minute they didn't have the flooring I selected and Jack recommended another 2. While installing, apparently the flooring was not the proper size for the main front door area and they had to leave jagged pieces of the tile under the flooring. Also, while trying to close my door the bottom "shoe" was ruined and the door manufacturer is unable to replace 3. A majority of the floor has been creaking for almost a year. I've been trying to get them to fix this since August of 2019 - before the pandemic (which Jack tries to use an an excuse). As of today, 7/3/20, this still has not been resolved. read more

I was getting bids from 5-6 carpet companies when I was referred to Carpet Discount Warehouse. I did my research on the best carpet manufacturers so by the time I met with Debbie I had my list of requirements. After going over everything with Debbie, I knew I wanted Mohawk Carpet. I got a detailed bid from Sal, and I continued to search for the lowest price in labor and Mohawk carpet without compromise. After getting all my bids in from small and large well-known companies I was surprised to find the lowest bid was from this family-owned business, Carpet Discount Warehouse. I'm talking thousands of dollars less for the exact same carpet and labor! Sal and Debbie made it so easy to get the job done, I kept feeling like I was forgetting something. The carpet was back ordered but Sal kept me informed to the last minute of delivery. Next to my choice of quality carpet, my greatest concern was installation. It doesn't matter the quality of the carpet if the installation is poor, the carpet will be lacking. I was not interested in working with any companies who sub out their work. Sal has had his installers for 20-30 years. They are like a family. Because of the amount of square footage in my house, I was told the job would take three days. When the installers arrived, Kelly, Sam, and Nick, they were very punctual, professional, and personable. They started work immediately and never stopped. I noticed almost no conversation between them or wasted time. They worked together like a Swiss clock. Everyone had his own job, and each man did his work perfectly, leaving no lag time. These men stayed for 8 hours and then asked if I minded if they stayed for a few more hours. I told them to stay as long as they'd like. To my shock, they stayed and worked for 13 hours! The next day they arrived at exactly 8AM and began diligently working again. On the second day they worked 9 1/2 hours, until they finished a three-day job in two days. Although they finished the job quickly, they did not rush. They were extremely meticulous, making sure every corner and edge was precisely done. And the stairs...24 stairs to be exact are like a work of art. Honestly, I am a hideous perfectionist, and I can't remember the last time I was more impressed with the quality and workmanship of a company. And did I forget to mention they moved all the large furniture in 4 bedrooms, a large double office, a library, formal living room, 5 walk in closets, and a storage room, and then put all the furniture back exactly where it goes, without nicking a single wall? It's too bad I can't give them 10 stars. I will be recommending this company just as it was recommended to me, "If you're interested in the job being done right then call Sal at Discount Carpet Warehouse, they're the BEST." We were referred to Jack Murray at Carpet Discount Warehouse. Jack was great at working with us on getting carpet as soon as possible as we had just moved into our new home and it needed new carpet in all the carpeted areas. We chose a brand and in 3 different colors, however, none were in stock. Jack brought alternates closely matching the original one we liked and we chose from those. We were working towards having carpet installed by Friday so we could finish moving all our furniture and what not into all the carpeted areas. We purposely did not move anything into the carpeted areas so they would not have to move our stuff out and back in. Carpet is priced well and good quality, however, the installation service we received was horrible. We had 2 guys complete the installation. They picked and chose which items they would remove from the closets in order to install carpet in them. I, mom of an infant (less than 1 year old), had to call reinforcements so I could remove the biggest closet item on my own since they didn't want to do it. The installers indicated it was 5 minutes worth of carpet and 1 hour worth of removal. I was able to take apart the closet shelves in less than 1 hour. Of course, I made them remove it as it was not possible for me to do it by myself. They left the left over carpet for me just in case we needed, however, they left it on the front porch so I had to move it into the garage by myself. They did not vacuum up the scraps in any of the rooms. When I called Jack about it, he said, "Didn't they tell you their vacuum broke?". I told him no, however, none of the rooms were vacuumed which tells me they came to a job site with a broken vacuum. Jack response was they use the same type of vacuum we use and I could do it myself (although we paid for this service) or I could wait until Monday for him to come out. Again, we were having carpet installed asap so we could actually move into our house (living out of boxes in our living room). Overall, service was ridiculous. Definitely did not put the customer first in ensuring they completed the job 100%. I would not refer anyone else to them! read more

My wife chose to buy carpet here because the prices are cheaper than most places we went, but you get what you pay for! We were on a strict timeline for getting our carpet installed. We had our own installers ready and waiting to install the carpet. My wife explained to the owners that we needed the carpet by a certain day and they said no problem! We had a nightmare of a time getting our carpet at the time they promised. Our installers showed up three days in a row to pick up the carpet just to find out that it was not there.
