I've been dealing with Duane in one capacity or another in the flooring business for almost 40 years. He was the manager of a shop called fair price carpets that I worked for for several years. Then when I went on my own and became licensed, we worked together on many projects. I recently needed a room in my house carpeted. I picked out the carpet. They were charging me almost $3500 for the one room mostly because it was a very plush nice Carpet that I picked. When they installed it, it had very bad carpet crush, which is caused by a role sitting at the bottom of a pile for too long. It ends up permanently crushing the nap in certain parts of the role I was informed I would have to live on it for two months and have it professionally cleaned to try and fix the role crush instead of them replacing it as soon as they discovered it was no good. The room I was having carpeted is where my mother-in-law who has recently suffered from two strokes sleeps so every time somebody came to inspect the carpet or clean the carpet or replace the carpet I would have to make arrangements for her to go spend the night somewhere else and move all the furniture out of the room, and this is not counting the canceled appointments because they would schedule appointments even though they clearly knew they wouldn't be ready. The whole ordeal took close to four months and it really seems like nobody knows what they're doing since Dwayne's son took over Duane's son is a good enough guy I've known him for years, but I really must say I miss Duane a lot! And I will not be using carpets by Duane in the future or referring people to their company from now on read more

I called with the slight chance I could locate the flooring I purchased 7 years ago. Gilberto was so awesome, I had my old invoice and he called the company and got right back to me and told me it was available. He gave me a great and fare price. It was shipped in a week and Gilberto kept me in the loop all the time . I have not picked it up yet but I will continue this review as I am sure this is going to be a great finish for me. I would never have received this type of service at Lowe's or Home Depot. I love doing business with private owners who I believe truly care about their customers. Amazing service and amazing install. We went in and described what we wanted. Austin took us right to many different options that met our description but the color. He found more options for us and we got the exact color and style we wanted. Later that day he came out and got measurements at our home and was able to save us a lot of $ by putting a cheaper pad in the closets and saving us from having to purchase a lot of extra padding. It was great working with Austin. On install day, they showed up on time and hustled all day long removing the old, cleaning up and installing the new pad and carpet. Id give zero stars if I could. Worst carpet installation ever. I had high grade carpet installed and it began buckling after a about a year. I then had them install very high grade carpet in the bedroom, which started buckling after less than 6 months. At least then they fixed the first room that was buckling. A second bedroom that I had Duane's install carpet is now buckling after about 2 years. Oh, and the carpet they fixed the first time is now buckling again. No, we did nothing to cause it other walk on it. There's a reason they are cheap. I want to point out that the wear of the carpet is very good but the installation in sub-standard. An installer came out and sympathized, but said, too bad, no longer under warranty. Apparently hard backed expensive carpet does not lay down well in cooler weather. What the hell? Be wary or just go elsewhere. read more

Austin was the sales rep who replied to my online inquiry, he asked me to come down to look at samples, and was kind enough to let me take a couple home to show my wife and compare in our space. Estimate was competitive with two other vendors, ultimately I bought from Carpets by Duane because they were very knowledgeable about the job, process, and materials. Also, they provide a WRITTEN estimate. Took a 10% deposit, ordered materials (1 week) and installed the following Saturday. Arrived on time, moved heavy furniture, and completed in under 8 hours. The product of tile and workmanship of the installers are excellent. Beware as a consumer discussing price as the per foot cost does not cover all installation costs. We were told by the company's salesman their pricing of the product covers installation cost but additional labor cost was added to our final bill after we paid the deposit. The sales person also over bid the project by a third of what we needed and the company was not willing to take back the tile or installation fees that were attached to the boxes of unused tile. We were told it would take 2 to 2 1/2 days to install but were also told we were responsible to pay additional fees to cover the installers for 3 full days. read more

If it were possible they would get zero stars. The install looks like terrible, everyday I look at the floor and get more disgusted. they didn't clean up left stains and glue residue. Floor tile not cut in tight under kitchen sink so when you mop the floor water and anything else has place to build up. Installed base board not complete. Invoiced before they completed the project. The installers with the exception of Rick are rude and lazy. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Don't waste your time or money! I don't have my carpet installed yet but the service on the phone is TERRIBLE! Seriously TERRIBLE!!! They do not give you a time frame for when the carpets will be installed. You won't find out until the DAY they will be installing the carpet. COME ON! People work during the day and you can't give me a 24 hour frame when you will be coming. You piss people off and you haven't even done the carpet yet ... Geez can you even give the customer a 5 hour time frame. Seriously Carpets by Duane use excel or spend some money on routing your installs so your customers can actually know when your coming. It's 2015 not 1998. Lastly, Monica (girl on the phone) needs more training or an attitude check. I get you possibly pay her minimum wage... but she works on the phone talking with customers wanting YOUR business. First impressions are important so before you give the girl a raise maybe give her a little more training. read more

This the BEST flooring place!!! Also really great for wall tile! We've used them several times before. One time for linoleum we went to Home Depot just to compare..$1,200 for a 11x12 room of linoleum ( mid grade) Duane $150. Installed out the door and did a fabulous job!! Excellent from start to finish. The showroom is awesome, with tons of options in every price range. The entire staff is very knowledgeable, we went in looking for one thing but after a short chat with the staff we were warned that with a pool, kids and dogs that option may not be the best. We were steered to Karndean flooring for it's durability and beauty. Duane was very friendly and I loved the family atmosphere there. He truly cares about his customers and staff. The installer was clean and arrived on time to do an A+ job. He would even bring in packages that were delivered to my house! The company was subcontracted to do our carpet and vinyl flooring. They also were to doing a friends floors. We both had to wait over a month for an appointment. Later we found out they never order the carpet we chose which pushed everything back even further. We asked for white vinyl flooring , they did not have anything, gave us options that were not white and said we would be delayed even longer if we wanted white! So I went out the next day and purchased white vinyl flooring so they could install on the next appointment. My friend had them cancel twice which delayed the rest of her project and cost her more time and money. How disappointing for us both! read more
