First time visit company function. Was told lots of good things about so had some decent expectations. Food was very good. I'm no Lebanese food expert be any means but I know good flavor. There were a Lot of dishes and they all had their unique flavor. We came in a Saturday night and they had entertainment. Live band then belly dancers!these girls were awesome. Patrons were getting down on the dance floor which was really cool. Service was good. Nothing bad to say there. Overall experience was very good. Good vibe. People came to have a good time. Place was busy and was told its usually more packed. Would like to go back at some point but I live about a good hour 1/2 away. read more

I thought for weeks what I should make my 100th review and realized Carousel is well deserving of that! Carousel is one of my favorite restaurants EVER. Ive been here numerous times and never get bored of it. In my opinion, I think its one of the best mediterranean restaurants in southern California. My favorite dishes that I recommend to others are for sure the chicken shawarma plate, cheese fatayer, hummus, shanklish salad, kofta, frog legs provencial and fatoush salad. The food is so good and tastes like authentic mediterranean food. The decor inside is beautiful and feels like you took a trip to a middle eastern country. The service is amazing, the people working there are really nice. Overall, Carousel never fails to satisfy, definitely the only mediterranean place i refer to others (for now). You must go try it yourself! read more

We had a reservation at the Glendale location ,which I made talking directly to the restaurant , for November 23rd at 7 PM for 7 people. When we got there we were received by the manager who told us that there was no reservation in our name and asked me where did we called and I said to the Glendale location of the restaurant and I gave him the phone number I had dialed. He said that was not their number but I dialed and it rung in front of him and both one of the employees and him answered. He kept insisting it was not his number. He was extremely rude to me and my family and we end up leaving . We normally do not appreciate being gaslit!!!!! read more

Very cheap picked up food no utensils no napkins and radish only one in the bag most places give you 3 and no butter with the food, I won't go back. Girl on the phone who takes order is also very rude. read more

Me and my friend decided to order from Carousel Restaurant via Postmates, the food arrived an hour late, ( Understandably We chose the free delivery option witch gave the approximate delivery time in an hour ) however when finally the food arrived it was simply a disaster! Everything was extremely cold and bland. It felt like they didn't take the time of delivery into consideration and prepared the food right away! But that is not the worst part ! Our order included a Kebab plate with Fattoosh salad, Kebbeh ( Kofteh) and an order of mantee. The mantee simply went into trash as not only it was super cold and dry but it was horribly burnt ! Mantee is supposed to be crispy but this was just extremely burnt and we couldn't even finish the first one we tried! We tried heating them but it just brought back the unpleasant burnt taste! That aweful taste will be remembered for a long time! the Kebab was very bland and again cold and just not tasty all all, and the salad did not look or taste fresh at all! Simply put $56.00 was wasted and the experience left us extremely disappointed! Hearing so much about this place we had much higher expectations but the quality of food was extremely poor and subpar ! Not sure what happened! Updated : Received a response below from Rosalie T. from Carousel Restaurant stating while they are "sorry" for my experience they "encourage" me to order directly from their website, as if that should make a difference in my experience ! So if I am reading this correctly... in order for their unhappy customer to be satisfied ,they need them to spend another $60 to experience the quality! Way to take care of your dissatisfied and disappointed customers and making it right for them ! Thanks but no thanks ! read more

Carousel Restaurant - Mantee( burnt and inedible!) - Middle Eastern Near Me - Glendale, California

It's my favorite Lebanese restaurant. Love it! I always get their chikofta, red tabule, kefte, hummus, and their garlic sauce. They have amazing vegan/vegetarian options as well. Their weekend entertainment nights are fun too! read more

Came here from my last visit in Glendale Califfornia. The waiter was friendly and gave his recommendations. All were great which we were happy about. The cheese turnovers were my fav! Would come here again. We had to pay for parking though. read more

Today I ordered from Carousel for the first time, and it will be in permanent rotation. The Fool Mudammas was remarkable, but everything I ordered was well prepared and flavorful. I look forward to trying a number of their other dishes. read more

For those of you looking for a good Mediterranean place near Americana this is the spot, or Raffis. Food is great. Service is decent.

one of the best restaurants hands down! the food?? amazing,. the service??? phenomenal! khaled is so helpful and so kind! I can't say enough good things about carousel. there isn't one thing I wouldn't recommend to get bc it's all delicious read more

Oh Carousel... what would Easter brunch be without you. By the way, I should mention that every time the name "Carousel" comes to mind, it's pronounced "Car-oo-sell" with a rolled R like the Armenians say it. Every single time I have been here (which is a lot), I have gotten one of the family feast meals - usually the Beiruty - which comes with a ton of mezzes (appetizers), kufte (cheese and meat pastry thing), soujuk (sausage), kebab, and rice. It's a serious feast. And it's a lot to break down, so I'll discuss the highlights. From the mezze's, my favorites are the hummus, muhamara, and tabbouleh. Their hummus is delicious; it has a heavier tahini taste that I'm used to but the texture is spot on. The muhamara may look weird, but it's phenomenal. The primary ingredients are pomegranate syrup, walnuts, breadcrumbs, and syrian pepper paste. Trust me, you need to try it. I really don't need to say much about the tabbouleh because who hasn't had tabbouleh, but it's fantastic. Plus it's healthy for you! My favorite favorite favorite part of Carousel is their cheese beureg, which comes after the cold mezzes, and is usually accompanied with the soujuk, meat keufte (meat pastry thing), and/or falafel. Their cheese beureg seems to be wrapped in wanton paper, and it has a mixture of cheeses, and is deep fried. Holy cannoli, it's so delicious! By the time the kebab and rice come out, I'm usually stuffed to the brim with cheese and hummus, so I seldom eat much of it, but their beef is really high quality meat. It's tender, juicy, and really flavorful. Pair that with the pilaf (I'm not a huge fan of the bulgur, but to each their own), and your mouth is ready for a flavor party. The pilaf tastes straight up like butter to me, which is good because butter is one of the best flavors. This review is bringing out the inner glutton in me, so I better stop and find something to eat. Anyway, the TL;DR version of this is, go to Carousel. It's especially great for special events like birthdays (they use sparklers for the birthday celebration), or holidays like Easter. If you are planning on going to Carousel during a holiday, do yourself a favor and make a reservation because this place gets full pretty quickly. Parking is convenient, albeit usually not free. There is some free street parking behind the parking lot, but you need to read the sign. Regardless, the location has a paid parking lot behind the restaurant, and during the weekends they have valet as well. read more

Talar was exceptional. Thank you so much for the excellent service. Will be returning soon. Food was flavorful and brought out quickly!

The food is very very good here. The service is also great. My favorite dishes are the lentil soup, the soujuk on fire, mantee and the cheese borek is a must try. This is one of my favorite restaurants and I love to come back here all the time! read more

Carousel Restaurant - Middle Eastern Near Me - Glendale, California

If you have never been to Iran or any other Arabic country then this is the place to go to. horrible management, never seen managers arguing with customers before, this place was something new for me. Can this place deserve even one star, if we had to pay to have at least 1!! Armenian song out of 1000 arabic and persian songs!? WTF is that?? Never had to do this at any other restaurants. Worst night ever, waste of time and money, "Prince of Persia" would be a perfect name for this shit, not "Carousel". I hope managers or owner of this place read this and take f***ing responsibility for the shit that plays and cooks inside there! Never coming here again! One star is a gift for this place. read more

The environment is excellent both for families and couples. Food is really delicious. The service is wonderful. My family and I liked Ando, the Armenian guy, with his warm treatment and ,particularly, his politeness at the mean time. We haven't checked out, yet, but I suppose it's gonna be reasonable bill for us. Thank you Ando! read more

Great food and service! Fadi, Hrayr, Elmer, Exau and the whole team always make it an enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Belated review from Saturday afternoon when we went here for lunch with one of our brothers and his lady friend. We had pretty low expectations because of the whole Kardashian connection, but were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share since it was our first time eating Armenian food: the chicken kebab, lamb shish kebab, hammos soujuk, muhammara, mutabbal, and a bunch of pickled vegetables and other salads. Everything veggie was so tasty and reminiscent of our own Mediterranean cuisine (Israeli; they even had our favorite side of pickled turnips!). The lamb kebab was a bit too chewy, but the chicken one had great flavors. The one big bummer was the pita bread which was dry, thin, and uninspiring. We ended with the Ossmanlieh dessert--rose water and honey in a bird's nest type thing--and it was a nice, light ending to the meal. Service is efficient, but not particularly friendly. No matter--we had a lovely time, a filling meal, and would certainly recommend this place to others interested in trying Armenian food. read more

The only restaurant when I go to I feel I'm back home same taste excellent Mediterranean food . This resultant is my favorite . The only things I just notice for the last 3 years when you order party group the appetizer smaller dishes than before which I don't like and down grade happened in this restaurant on the last 11 years . read more

I just dont see the appeal. The food is mediocre chain restaurant food the service is nothing special and its over price

The food is fantastic ,they have a dance show on Saturday nights which was so good ,the reason I put 4 stars is the the music they have is more than high I do not know what to call that level of crazy nonsense loud that gives you a 24 hour headache even if you don't drink you will have that pain because the place is too small for all that percussionists loud sounds There is also this one singer,I don't know how the owner hired him cause he does not have the voice to sing you can barely here his voice any other singer can do better than him , meanwhile the percussionists are taking over everything that was-the most unbearable sounds for us You can only talk to the person next to you not in front of you ,but I have to admit that they have a one great Lebanese arabic singer and great food but I will not give it try again weekend nights. read more

As a fellow Armenian I love trying food from my homeland. My family and I come here all the time and always have the best experience. The staff here are so friendly... even at their busiest time they put in the time to help out anyone with any questions they may have about the menu... they always go in depth with explaining the flavors and the different variations of food that they offer for people that have never tried their food before and it makes me proud. Genuinely an incredibly family oriented place. Highly recommended. read more

This restaurant has by far the best Lebanese Armenian food. The food is consistent. You will never go wrong with anything you order. If you have never tried this place, I suggest you try the set menus. They give you a good idea of the different cold and hot appetizers, salads, etc. If you want to enjoy good music and a show, this is your place. Usually every Friday and Saturday nights the restaurant hosts it's band and dancers show. You will not be disappointed. read more

We were out and about this past weekend, and needed to put a little fuel in the tank. Thanks to our fellow Yelpers, we came across Carousel, and we found it to be outstanding in all four dimensions at which a restaurant can reasonably hope to excel: food, service, price, and ambiance. Pro tip: If you go to an ethnic restaurant, and the people there are speaking the native language, it's a good bet that the restaurant is worthy of your patronage. What a feast! The bride and I ordered the Hafleh Beiruti family-style plate, and there wasn't a dog in the entire cornucopia of dishes brought to our table. Possibly the best baba ganoush I've ever tasted, and the tabbouleh had enough parsley to ensure you won't need to worry about your breath until 2024. Very cool and eccentric/authentic/intelligent choices for wines; it's a perfect place to step outside your comfort zone. We dined on the patio, a little quieter than inside, which was a shade too buzzy for our preference on a Sunday afternoon. But no matter where you sit, you can count on honest, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared food, served by a diligent and friendly staff. Eat here. Really, do. read more

Carousel Restaurant - Yummmmm! - Middle Eastern Near Me - Glendale, California

I love the food here! Especially great for eating family style. We went for Christmas with our inlays. We had a party of six.Everything they brought out was delicious! The waiters were friendly and eager to explain what they were serving us. As they have a set price for a meal that has about 6-7 different dishes that everyone shares. Since Christmas we have been back a couple of times and we are always happy to be there! We love the atmosphere and everything about the place! read more

We went back to Carousel couple of weeks and today, and the only servers who provide excellent service are Hagop and Nareg. They are just so wonderful.
