Everything is amazing here the food is always fresh and always taste very consistent. Whether you eat there or take it to go or do DoorDash, everything is always spot on and perfect. I always like to do their platters for three or four people and you get a variety of everything you could taste everything they have. Fatty saw our friend went to Carousel Restaurant in Glendale and was super jealous, so a visit was a must. They took reservations so we definitely made one to avoid waiting in line since this was a popular spot. The menu here was HUGE and could overwhelm new diners very easily. We took the easy way out and ordered the family style meal with the most dishes option. The food came out quickly, maybe a little too quick actually since we ran out of table spaces while more dishes kept on coming. We tried all different variety of food and the most favorite was lula, which was stick shaped minced beef. Juicy and moist, great flavor and easily beating the nearby famous restaurant that had similar thing. The least favorite was the kbbeh nayyeh, which was the Lebanese steak tartare. While the flavor was good, we just couldn't get over the texture, but at least we tried it. The most memorable dish was fattoush, which was a bell pepper dip. We had stuff like hummus, but never had a dip made out of bell peppers. It was packed with flavors and amazing to go with pita. Overall experience was excellent. The service was fantastic and fast. Very friendly and attentive with plenty of suggestions if asked. We really enjoyed the food and we would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. read more

I have been to this carousel and the other location multiple times. I really enjoy their food but I would not say it's 5 star! I have had better! There is plenty of food, but I feel that when you do family style, they still put the same portion of food as if was less people so unsure about this. I love their appetizers but I am okay with their main meal. I had their fried fish, it was okay, not something I would get again. I ordered catering through their website for 4 people family style. The portion sizes were absolutely embarrassing and ridiculous. The hummus/other sides had MAYBE 4-5 tablespoons worth in them. When ordering bbq, you normally have to order for less ppl because they put so much food, but here... I had been wanting to try this place & finally got the opportunity to during LA restaurant week--$25 per person for a three-course meal. It included tea/coffee, cold and hot mezze platters, and a variety of kabobs. The portions were generous and it was a nice way to try a variety of dishes. The food was good, but not sure if I'd come back outside of restaurant week and pay full price. Carousel is so much fun! The waiters and other employees seem to know all the customers and greeted people with handshakes and hugs. The menu here is very extensive and full of so many dishes we wanted to try. Our waiter suggested we try one of the platters for the table, which was chock full of many different appetizers, including hummus, the type of baba ghanoush, flaming soujuk, kofta, boereg, etc there was so much food from the appetizer alone. I can't even remember at all and we were pretty full by the time our entrées arrived. Luckily we had saved room because we were served chicken and beef cook Bob plus Lulu with and bulgur everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. If you have a regular sized appetite, you might want to consider ordering the platter for less people than you have at the table... Unless you want to take tons of leftovers. We were glad we did. When first coming in, we had to go deeper into the restaurant to find the host's check-in area. We waited for 15min before getting seated. I really like the interior design and would enjoy it if it were dark outside, but opted to enjoy the sun. Our host and server were quick to help us. I ordered some tequila but they do have a great selection of beer and wine along with their spirits. My friend ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate while I ordered the Beer Shawarma plate. We both absolutely loved our plates and there was plenty to take home! My friend said her dish had some of the most moist and tasty chicken she's ever had, and I had ZERO complaints about my beef! I would recommend making a reservation in advance if you're dining on a weekend and don't want to wait 30-45 mins. When finished, we were able to pay thru Toast QR code on our phones which sped up the process. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Very nice and clean, I'd say you can definitely tell it's upper end once you get in the restaurant. The entryway is a fairly narrow hallway which got pretty packed and uncomfortable with people walking in and out consistently, which would be my main complaint. Been there a couple of times. The service the first time was really bad despite there being almost no one in the restaurant, the waiter was both surly and inattentive. The second time the other waiter was super nice and checked up on me. Both times they served me the ONLY decent stuffed grape leaves I have been able to find in all of Los Angeles. And they are beyond good. They are f'n outstanding. So good they easily distract from the gaudy interior design which seems to be the result of someone who has clearly done more than enough cocaine. I just got back from a birthday party I organized for my mother, and I have to say I was very disappointed with the service. I called on Friday to reserve a table for Saturday night. I was told the only time available for my party was after 8 p.m., which I accepted, and I specifically mentioned that my mother prefers to sit inside and that it was her birthday. When we arrived 15 minutes early, we were told we had to sit outside on the patio. Since we come here at least once a month, we know what my mom likes -- toasted Arabic bread. When I asked for it, the server told us they were out of toasted bread because the kitchen was closing soon. My mom responded, "Then why accept reservations when your kitchen is about to close?" A few minutes later, the server returned with burned bread and said, "This is for you." My mom actually laughed and said, "What a birthday gift!" and took a picture of it. The food here has always been great, but unfortunately the service depends entirely on the server, and this time it was very poor. I had mentioned it was my mom's birthday both when I made the reservation and again as a reminder to our server, but it was completely ignored. Meanwhile, my mom and my son saw the staff singing "Happy Birthday" for other tables. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
