Had the oil changed recently on our Lexus, found out the oil plug was loose a few days later when we took it to the Lexus dealership. The recommendations for repairs did not align with what the Certified Technicians recommended at the Lexus dealership and would have cost us thousands had we had the repairs done at Kinetech. WE DID NOT NEED THE REPAIRS!! I highly suggest you do not do business with Kinetech Motor Werkes.

Then they found out GM no longer manufactured my engine, so it would cost $7K for them to put in a used one. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. Coffey said it was the thermostat, and charged me $372. A big difference from $7K. Needless to say, I won't be going back to the shop that tried to cheat me. I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

The techs came back and said that it would be $1200 to make the repair and that she owed $190 to diagnose the issue. $190 to not fix anything and then quote us $1200 to fix the turn signal! There was not option to refund the diagnostic fee if the service was booked. This seems egregious and greedy at the same time. We had decent experiences with this shop in the past but this is ridiculous.
