Holly and the service advisor told me that I shouldn't waste any money in the vehicle because it was old and smelled liked mold, mildew and had the worst water damage he's ever seen. Needless to say I was disheartened and didn't know what to do so I looked up mechanics in the Belmont and Mount Holly area. This is where I came across R&M Auto Center, their reviews were almost perfect so I called them up and the front desk was very helpful, professional and pleasant. She set up an appointment for me relatively soon. When I arrived, I spoke with Cameron and explained the situation in detail with the brake lights, the driver's window not going down and locks not working. He assured me that it would be taken care of. He also reiterated that the diagnostics fee was $103 and if they didn't resolve the issue in the first 45 or hour then there would be an additional charge for each additional hour. I left my vehicle overnight and when they call me back the next day, to let me know what the issue was, I was worried but Leslie explained that they found the issue and it was a simple fix for the brake lights. I was extremely happy about the price because I was thinking the worst. They finished my vehicle and did my inspection as well in a timely manner. When I picked up my vehicle I was surprised that the driver's window worked and the locks on the truck worked as well and yes the brake lights were fixed. They took care of everything and didn't try to exploit the situation. Overall, I would definitely recommend R & M Auto Center for your vehicle's repairs because they are truly honest, upfront and do great work on your vehicle for a very fair price.

Security should be important for all customers cars especially when they are park on the outside of the repair shop. They are busy so you will have to wait a few days for the repairs to be completed. The Short Story: Over two weeks waiting to pay $545 cash for a 6 foot wire only for my horn to fail…read morebefore I got home. The long story is I made an appointment in early December to have my horn fixed. Dropped of my 4Runner first week of January at the shop. They called the next day with a "solution", the clock spring. I had shared all the info when I first called but shared again, fuse and relay were known working items, clock spring was new from Toyota. I asked they check the continuity from the box to the horn as the everything up to the box was working. I waited a week with no info, called and they said they hadn't got it in. Called a few days later to check in and they hadn't gotten to it. Get a call the next week that they had "swapped the fuse box" but no horn. I asked again if they had checked continuity from box to horn. Fellow rattled on about radio (professional adapted harness so no splicing) and cluster (also professionally rebuilt). I shared that info, again, and asked that they check continuity. Next day they call back and mentioned stereo and cluster again but they had fixed it. They wanted $545 for diagnosing the issue and installing a "new sauntered and wrapped wire". I asked how it was routed and if it was wrapped, "yup". My wife took the $545 cash down and paid them but they weren't ready. Came back to get 4Runner at 5:05pm and the key was on the tire. Vehicle smelled like a garbage truck and ash tray but one honk and hooray. Drove home and as I was getting home someone pulled out and I honked. Or tried to. No noise. Pull into my drive and find the pictures above. Wire run under dash through firewall, under dash slapped together, and horn wire flopping around on the battery. Nothing holding it in place, nothing professional about any of it. I wouldn't go back here if they paid me, the lost time and frustration for what is a wing spans of wire to have it fail immediately is sad. I shall fix it and route it properly and consider the half a grand a lesson learned.

These guys are really good! I recently slung an alternator belt on my 1988 Mazda RX7. This is not…read morethe first time either. In fact, I have slung three belts in the last six months. Needless to say, that was getting expensive. I told the guy at the front (who I presume to be the owner) and he responded "you definitely have a problem!" He further said that he would look into it. He looked up the belt in his system and cross checked it with the numbers on the piece of belt that I handed him. He had a NAPA belt delivered from across the street. After the belt was delivered he noticed that the belt was actually too long to leave room for adjustments. In other words, the belt would fit but detention adjusters didn't have any room left to make any additional adjustments. He told me that's what the issue was and he was going to go back across the street himself and get a shorter belt. This solve the problem permanently I hope. Think about it though. I took this vehicle to two other mechanics who just went by what their system said was the part and installed it whether it fit correctly or not then sent me on my way. These guys took the time to make sure that the part actually fit. They told me how much it would be up front and got me in and out in a little over an hour.
