That didn't sound right to me, so I called Coffey to see when I could bring my car by the shop. I didn't tell them what the other repair shop told me. It started about 2 months ago when my engine seized and I was stuck at the Infiniti dealership in Charlotte. They told me it would cost approximately $18,000.00 for a new engine and my heart dropped. I asked Infiniti who would they recommend to do an engine replacement and they said Christian Brothers. I called Christian Brothers and spoke with Logan, he was able to give me some good information on my situation and based on our conversation, I decided to have my vehicle brought to t he eir shop. Logan was able to confirm what Infiniti told me and offered several options on how to move forward. He was in constant contact with me every step of the process of replacing my engine. However, come to find out that not only did I need to replace my engine but also the transmission because it was damaged due to the seized engine. It was news that I hated to hear yet I did trust that Logan was being honest with me and he did work with me on the price. Also, other issues came up with the repair but instead of charging me for certain repairs, they decided to take care of the cost. When I finally received my vehicle back, there was some other issues that came up and when I called Logan, he was responsive and had the issues resolved at no charge to me. Overall, having my engine seize up and then my transmission being damaged was a very difficult experience and hearing bad news after bad news didn't help, however I trusted Logan and I trusted the previous reviews I read. Beware if you get work done THEY are not responsible for a tow no matter how far you get stranded from home and if someone else fixes it your warranty is VOID. Bad business as far as I'm concerned and will never recommend them to anyone. They should have at least offered 1/2 money since we had to bring back to them.

Anyway, I scheduled the PPI for the following day between 11am and 3pm, no problem. Pay in advance, once again, no problem since that's typical for these types of services. I get a call the next day around 2:30pm saying the mechanic isn't available and we would need to reschedule for the next day. Unfortunately, I had a tight timeframe that this needed to be completed by and the next day wouldn't work. I found someone local, paid about 50% more since it had to be done right away, and they sent someone out immediately. I tried to cancel with Instant Car Fix and get a refund. Matthew told me that that was fine and sent me a link to cancel. Once I finished the cancellation, I got an email confirmation saying I was being charged a 100% cancellation fee for cancelling "a job in progress", even though the promised services were never delivered. When I tried calling Matthew back, he ignored all of my calls. I ended up calling the main number and told that they would escalate it. I didn't hear anything for a few days, so I called back and was told the same thing, and also told to email their claims department directly. If this is the "professional" demeanor by which they operate, then it's no wonder they are getting completely flamed in their online reviews. My review will not change until they fix their mistake. Until then, I advise everyone looking for mechanical services to look elsewhere.
